Frequently asked questions about fast cash virginia

  • This is my first time writing a DNQ and I was wodering if I did okay? In 1606 hundreds of settlers flocked to Virginia in search of wealth and treasure. However untold hardships awaited them in the New World, though their efforts produced both social and economic changes over the century. George Percy describes some of the hardships, the cruel diseases, the wars, and starvation. (Document A) on 1612 the colony’s economic trouble came to an end when John Rolfe eliminated most of the bitter tang of tobacco. With the help of early tobacco ads (Document B) with catchy slogans such as “Life is a smoke- If this be true Tobacco will thy life renew”, tobacco was soon sweeping Virginia. Tobacco was planted throughout most of Virginia and a new massive workforce was needed to work on the large-acre plantations. While family did not procreate fast enough, Indians died, and slaves were too expensive, white indentured servants were the answer to the plantation owner’s problem. Plantation owners were willing to provide servants with money for the passage, food, clothing, and land in exchange for years of service. (Document D) because the vast job loss to farmers many poor Englishmen were willing to risk a new life in America. There was a drastic change in 1680 though, because of the rising wages in England the number of people willing to risk it all in the New World shrank. Plantation owners were left without worker to grow and tend to the tobacco, until 1698 when the Royal African American Comcolonies lost the monopoly on bringing slaves to the New World. About ten thousand slaves were brought to America on the middle passage. (Document D) Americans rushed to cash in on slave trading. Governor William Berkley of Virginia said in 1671 the population of Virginia was about forty thousand people with almost two thousand black slaves. (Document E) The Virginia colony went from the brink of extinction, to wealthy growers, to slave owners. Without tobacco, indentured servants, and slavery Virginia might have been another failed attempt at colonizing America.
  • This would not get a good grade in my AP US class. You're essay looks like a restatement of the documents (haven't seen the documents but from the quotes you wrote, it seems as it is). You need to create a better focused thesis and have much better analysis, not just restatement of facts.
  • Progressivism and the Gilded Age are extremely likely. I'm thinking maybe Reconstruction as well? I hope the DBQ isn't on Reagan, our class didn't get past chapter 39 in Pageant. I acutally thought Collegeboard specifically said that they wouldn't have anything after the 1980s as an essay question? It'll probably show up in a couple MC though. Good luck! :)
  • If I had the cash, I would move to West Virginia in the woods, grow a garden, live by a clean lake. Traffic, mini malls, fast food, all this sh*t is for soulless consumers not people.
  • Jerusalem is the most holy place on Earth, the three main religions all got their foundations in this city.
  • If you want to get away from porno movies or sex for that matter then you don't want to be in paradise you are asking for hell. Lol.
  • The American Midwest. Wholesome. But not fundamental.
  • I doubt God worries about that. and the most peaceful place ont his earth for our Savior.. should be in your heart!
  • Real gods would be starring in those movies...
  • my bathroom -- just not after my morning coffee.
