Frequently asked questions about money in texas

  • I'll respond to what you're asking in the description, which is different than how you phrased it in the title. First of all you're never "forced" to bet anything, you can always fold. But if you bet all of your money before the end of the hand (the showdown), that's called being "all-in". When you're all-in, you hand is still valid, you have a chance to win the main pot. If other players bet more than what you have, amongst themselves, then besides the main pot they have a chance to win an additional pot called the side pot. Example -- on the turn the pot is 200. Someone bets 200, you have 100 left and call, someone else calls. The main pot is now 500 and the side pot is 200. They can bet again on the river if they want to which would add to the side pot, while you just sit back and hope to win the 500 main pot.
  • lol, who the heck knows?
  • your ******* broke thats what
  • you're ********** screwed, that's what.
  • There is two sides to this question: You are a player and want to play for real money from Texas. You want to host legal gambling in Texas? Playing for real money whether you in USA or outside is hard to keep track of. Right now, it is not illegal. However, law makers are working with banks so that you can not use banks or credit card banks to put into poker sites. That has not happened yet but that puts a damper on playing for money. For now, if you are in Texas, and want to deposit money to poker websites, you can do so freely since all websites are offshore and they welcome you. However, if you want to host your own poker site or poker tables in Texas, then here are some guidelines: 1) The poker host can not make a share of the profit, nor can they take rake money. 2) The host can not offer alcohol at the facilities. However, players can bring their own drinks. 3) The host must have some type of membership system and the games must be coordinated fairly. 4) The host can not have facility near schools or churches 5) The host will get a misdeamenor ticket, similar to a traffic ticket when they get sited by police. But many tickets will result in police raiding the facility, taking away chips, moneys, closing down the facility. I live in Dallas, Texas. I drive to Lousiana and Oklahoma to play for real money. I hope one day Galveston will allow casinos. In the mean time, I goto www.worldpokersite.com just to play for fun. Good luck and have fun in poker! Cheers, Jack
  • Its not legal in America. Uncle Sam wants his cut on any winnings.
  • Online gambling in the U.S. is illegal. It is not legal to use an offshore gambling site.
  • No it is not illegal to give homeless people money in Texas. Certian cities within Texas have tried to pass laws banning solicitation by the homeless for donations, but have been struck down by the court system as unconstitutional infringement against freedom of speech. Keep in mind that the law, even while in effect, only made asking for money illegal. You could still give the homeless money of your own volition. _____________________________ To you holier than thous asking why you would want to give the homeless money, maybe it's because it's compassion towards the suffering of others. Did you know that by government statistics, more than two thirds of the nation's homeless are vetrans? Or than in Nashville for example over 60% of the homeless population is employed? Minimum wage isn't a living wage you know. And so what if they buy drugs or alcohol, that's what depressed people with addiction problems do. Instead of judging them, get them help. What do you expect them to do with the money? Save up and buy a car? It's nice that in a predominately Christian nation we are severely lacking in Christian Charity. "We built gigantic buildings to kiss the sky. We build gargantuan bridges to span the seas. Through our spaceships we were able to carve highways through the stratosphere. Through our airplanes we were able to dwarf distance and place time in chains. Through our submarines we were able to penetrate oceanic depths. But it seems that I can hear the God of the universe saying, ‘Even though you've done all of that, I was hungry and you fed me not. I was naked and ye clothed me not. The children of my sons and daughters were in need of economic security, and you didn't provide for them. So you cannot enter the kingdom of greatness.’" – Dr. King, 1968
  • If you're looking for a small good deed to be done during an average day, instead of giving them money, buy them lunch or any other sort of meal/food. If they refuse the food, then you can be sure they'd be spending your gift of money on drugs or booze, so food is what I do! But I'm certain it isn't illegal, I'm not even from that country.
  • i think of that we would desire to constantly preserve people who're right here legally and function met with misfortune first. those that are right here illegally are those that would desire to be residing under the bridges and those that are right here legally if all and sundry would desire to be those that the government tries to help. there is adequate criminal pastime in the rustic today, why would desire to we enable the government to assist greater criminal pastime. i think of the folk of California would desire to take a stand positioned there Governor in his place. I also have a comfortable spot for illegals to---on a bus seat heading back to the place ever they got here from!!!!
  • LOL, no, its ot illegal, a bad idea, but not illegal! Its just going to pain pills and booze anyway.
  • it's not illegal, unless you are asking them to perform a sexual act :)
  • No. Why would it be? But, like the other answer, it is not a good idea.
  • She can ask for up to five years in retroactive child support in Texas. http://squidoo.com/ChildSupportRetroacti... http://www.facebook.com/groups/Tx.DadsHo... http://DadsHouseEdCtr.org/FathersDay http://dads-house.org/Paternity-WhatMenNeed2Know
  • First it's child support not custody. If she's never gotten an order for this child he doesn't owe her a dime yet. Once she gets the order he may be ordered to pay some arrears but there's no way to know how much until the judge orders it.
  • see www.tea.state.tx.us this site is the official Texas education agency site and has an abundance of information about teaching in Texas. Welcome to Texas. Each state has its own agency. New Mexico pay a lot more than Texas and its surrounding states. Also special certifications pay ON TOP of the base salary. You also can work summer school for about $ 35.00 to $ 50.00 an hour, tutoring $35.00 TO $50.00 an hour., etc. Don't forget that benefits add $ 20.00 an hour or so to your income.
  • There are two optometry schools in Texas: The University of Houston College of Optometry The University of Houston, 505 J. Davis Armistead Bldg Houston, TX 77204-2020 713-743-2020 http://www.opt.uh.edu/ University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry 9725 Datapoint Dr., CPO 17 San Antonio, TX 78229 210-883-1190 Email: optometry@uiwtx.edu http://optometry.uiw.edu/ FWIW - Obtaining a Doctor of Optometry degree is very rigorous. Your spelling and grammar suggest that you do not have the academic credentials for this program. There are also optometry technician programs to consider. San Jacinto Community College in Pasadena Texas has programs in eye care technology that might be what you are looking for. Here is the link to those programs: http://www.sanjac.edu/degrees-certificat... Here is the link to tuition and fees: http://www.sanjac.edu/future-students/paying-for-college/tuition-fees Good luck
  • you need a 4 year bachelor's degree before you can apply to optometry school. you should visit some optometry school websites and see what courses they require as part of the bachelor's degree--most likely they can be done at almost any college.
  • You're talking about busking - that means street performing for tips. There is a list of popular busking locations, including some in Texas, so it appears that some parts of the state are okay with it. Tell you what - to be on the safe side, contact the city clerk and ask if you need any kind of permit for street performance in your town. - Stuart
  • Yes
  • Yes, but how old are you Take a older male with yall that wont be scared to protect yall if something were to go wrong.
  • You can make money recycling anywhere. There are some really big scrap yards in texas. Do a google search for scrap yards in your area. I started out going to auto salvsges and paying them to let me pick scrap copper wire from their junk cars. Then i'd take it home and burn it to clean it. Then i'd sell it to the local scrap yard. I'd pay $8 per garbage bag full, which would equal $30 to $40 worth after i sold it. Just use your imagination and you can really cashin. I've doing cell phone recycling for a while now. It's probably the most unknown recycling business right now. A person can make alot of money in this business just by picking up old cell phones. I stumbled upon it in a cell phone recycling review. I havnt made the $60,000 a month they claim, but i made $687 my first week. Thats not bad at all. If you're interested in it, i'd recommend checking out the insiders secrets to recycling old cell phones. Theres a link at this blog- recyclecellphonesplus.blogspot.com

  • there are a few places in austin to make money from aluminum cans, but nothing else. Google Cash4Cans from Keep Austin Beautiful. they have a pdf you can download with the places that buy aluminum. I personally take all my stuff to eco-action and let them have my aluminum by way of "donating" to help keep their business running... They don't make much money off of anything else and the people there are usually really helpful.

  • Possibly, however I'm not certain
  • My pants
  • I was curious about this as well
  • In Texas, you may not be able to go to one. I do not know the laws, but each state has different rules about what you can do without parental consent. Look for a Planned Parenthood and call them. They will be able to tell you the laws in Texas, and their fee schedule. Some clinics are low or no cost to needy individuals. Again, look up the one closest to your area and call them.
  • I know a few joints that take in young jailbait like yourself for good money. Don't worry, prostitution is nothing to be ashamed of. ;) You're welcome.
  • yeah, lil kid lover. shes got a point there. you meet alot of new people too.
  • My mom wants me to go to EMT school. I'm 25, and have had a wide selection of career paths already. I've done foreclosure inspections, which was BIG money because I was fast. And an entire week or two off every month. But it's not a stable lifetime job as just a few companies own the entire field. If 1 goes under, the other picks up his work and you're lucky to get back into the field. I've also done IT, and started working my way into Windows Admin... But IT is a crappy field. They treat you crappy. Your coworkers are always on a high horse. And it's barely a fun environment over all. But now my wife and mom both think I should go to school. I don't want to go to college, because I don't want to throw myself in huge debt for something I'm even unsure if I want to do. Plus it's extremely hard for me to pay attention in classes that I have completely zero interest in (English and History). Where I over excel in Math and Science. Science is amazingly interesting to me. And Math is repetitive with patterns, and with a slight challenge. So that leaves me with Tech Schools, to skip around pointless electives. -Mortician was an idea, but the more I learn about it, the more most mortician companies seem to be family bound. -Auto Technician was another, but pay can be crappy for a lifetime of hard work. -HVAC, too many people do it here in Texas... Driving the pay down. So EMT was left. My concerns are, is it a dead end job? I just do EMT work forever and never progress? And do they even make a decent living? I live in Texas by the way...
  • You will not make more than $14/hr as an EMT. Frequently it's more like 9-12$/hr There are high turnover rates due to the media making it WAY overrated and people expecting it to be more than it is. Generally speaking, no matter where you work, the supervisors and office administrators will make you unhappy. With that high turnover comes opportunity for advancement, but you'll likely need paramedic credentials which is another 1-2 years of school depending on where you go, with EMT as a prerequisite. Most agencies will pay for you to go to paramedic school but require a contract for continued employment. Seeing as how ambulances are 2 person operations, you will likely find yourself as a driver while new. While on scene, you get to do some things, but frequently you won't. If you think it's all trauma, gunshots, heart attacks: I've had 3 CPR calls and 1 gunshot in the past MONTH. I work an an urban downtown area. Most calls are because people simply need a ride to the hospital and don't actually need interventions. It's fun, and you can make it to be fun. You see things nobody else will ever see in their life, smell things nobody will ever smell, and do things nobody will ever do. Try scheduling a ride-along with an ambulance crew. See if you like it!
  • Unfortunately EMT's make just above minimum wage. You can become a Paramedic after you've become an EMT and make more depending on where you work and the hours you are willing to put in. Nationally EMT's make around 9$ an hour to start and max out around 11$, Parmaedics start at around 12$ an hour and max out below 20$. There are other options, such as working for a fire department or in a hospital which would increase your pay. As for advancement, it really depends on where you work and the population & need for EMS. There are supervision positions, but they are few and far between. Do some research on the area you live in, see what agencies hire emt/medics and inquire about their pay. Chances are you know someone who knows someone who does it for a living.
  • A little recognized truth is that the various terms you listen persons say, had been copyrighted by means of Texas. So every time any person says some thing like "Howdy, pad'ner!", Texas cashes in on it. This isn't just Texas-vast. It is ANYWHERE you listen those terms. If you cup your hand in your ear every time you listen any one say "Ride 'em cowboy" or "Go west younger guy" or "Don't squat to your spurs".....you're going to listen an overly tender "CA-CHING!!!!" off within the distance. That is the sound of Texas cashing in. By the way in which.....in addition they possess the query "Do you desire me to shop for you some thing?". You owe Texas 3 greenbacks and 40-2 cents.
  • here in the UK you can get disability money for aspergers, it depends on how it affects someone and how much extra help or care they need compaired to someone who does not have aspergers......My friends son is 16 and has aspergers it affects him a lot, he can not go outside without an adult, he has major behaviour problems, has an awful temper that needs medication to calm him, the problem is the meds make him ill and stop his already poor appetite. on top of all this he is also registered blind, he has some sight but it's not a lot........ I would assume Texas would be the same it depends on how he's affected
  • It is not considered a disability . There is medacation though. Your Brother doesn't walk with his hands on his upper legs does he?
