Frequently asked questions about money pennsylvania

  • It, of course, depends on where in Colorado you are getting on and where in Pennsylvania you are getting off. But, as an example, a round-trip ticket on Greyhound from Denver to Philadelphia costs between $148 and $309. The journey time is between 36 and 40 hours each way and involves at least one transfer. Depending on the dates you're traveling, you may be able to fly for not much more than that: for example, I found fares of $213 roundtrip nonstop on US Airways for flights in the middle of May. If you can swing the extra $70, it's almost certainly worth it, as the journey is only about 4 hours in each direction, giving you a total of almost three whole extra days in Philadelphia if you leave and return at the same time as the bus.
  • sorry we can't help you because you failed to state what cities in those states we dont know if you are leave from Denver or colorado springs or another citi and then what city in Pennsylvania? we dont know if you want to go Pittsburgh,Harrisburg or Phly or another town \but i also would like to suggest Amtrak and NOT greyhound as their service is lousy either the buses break down, catch fire drivers get lost or even the restroom overflows! then it get worst you get lied to by the ticket agent sure we 2nd section for that bus yea 2 days later is "soon' then if you are lucky to enough to get on one you will have to stand for over 2 hour cause the bus will be too crowded and connections> FORGET IT! if your first bus is late the connection will NIOT wait for you bus and greyhound not even put you on another bus either
  • Mike is absolutely correct. One more thing to think about: cost of your meals. When you add how much you'll spend on 3 days of really bad food bought from vending machines at bus stations, you just might rethink the bus trip.

  • The main road that goes through my town in Pennsylvania is a state road. We often collect money for my wrestling team there. Lots of other organizations that do fundraising collect there too. No one has bothered us about it, but I was told recently that collecting money on a state road is illegal and that all the money we have collected could be taken from us. Is it true that you can't collect money on a state road in PA? If so, I would really like the citation for that so I know for sure.
  • Call the police and get permission first. Without permission they can probably take the money.
  • He's desperate and is making last-ditch mud-slinging efforts. It's shameful.
  • As an Obama supporter, I'm honestly not complaining. The more McCain wastes his efforts in Pennsylvania, the better!
  • Yes he does. He is hoping those Reagan Democrats and gun owners will turn out for him. In all honesty he should be spending this money in Washington State he's only down 6 points if the polls mean anything.
  • Maybe he's hoping they'll come to their senses. Why does Obama send me something in the mail each week? It's an affluent community of McCain supporters.
  • I guess a Maverick can pull it off ; )
  • If you owe back child support, then you should use this money to catch yourself up. Your child or children deserve it. If you are current on your child support payments then they cant touch this.
  • If your child or children are owed this money isnt it the right thing to do? I dont understand parents....Why do you even have children if you are not willing to support them? I guess as a Mom it p*sses me off to no end that people dont understand that after they have children they are no longer number 1 anymore, their children come first no matter what!
  • If you inherited money and have children to whom you are SUPPOSED to be paying support, Mr. or Mrs. Deadbeat, then the answer is YES! And if you are behind in that support, your ex can come after you for this money for the children. Grow up and please do us all a favor (and the kids, too) and don't have any more children. Thanks. Sheesh!
  • I don't think it matters where your money comes from as long as you pay your child support on time. every time.
  • YOU can't 'make' money orders. You can BUY them nearly anywhere. If there is an age requirement, it is from the company selling the money order, NOT from state law.

  • Depends on how barely and why. But you can try to apply for food stamps (now known as SNAP). You can also go to food banks if there is one in your community. Food stamps link below. You will need to document your income, bring in bank statements, rent agreement, etc. They will not give you help if you are spending all your money on things like clothes and non essentials.
  • That depends on your income and whether you're actually poor or just don't want to pay for your own groceries. They don't care if your beer money comes first or if you're a student. Are you the Head of Household or the H of H spouse? http://www.dhs.pa.gov/citizens/supplemen... Here is SNAP for PA.
  • Google "food stamps Pennsylvania".
  • Sure. It's called a job
  • Me too. A third party is something this country needs. Maybe not this election. The war is too important and McCain has got that down. But Obama lost because the people of Pennsylvania don't think he can run this country without running it to the ground with his socialist programs.
  • Please don't be fooled by Hillary's he can't win the big one stuff because he is bringing out more new voters than anyone in the democratic party and the democratic party no matter who run will win those big states not the GOP and another thing is this, if she is so strong and loved why is she not winning the little ones, she was predicted to win it all in the beginning, many of us never heard of Obama so why is she loosing to an unknown, ever ask yourself that question.
  • those moon bats will attempt any factor. purely remember this argument. A bullet is unlike a credit card you won't be able to cancel it. If some one steels your ammo and makes use of it, you would be charged with the crime. this might by no ability fly. somebody who became into going to commit a criminal offense would desire to basically rfile the ammo stolen and then what? I reported that ammo stolen It wasn't me. that's stupid because it gets. No blind guy those with the vocal objections are people who see this for precisely what it somewhat is. An attack on the 2nd modification. you purely referred to as anybody professional 2nd modification a criminal. that's meant to music the sale of ammunition and that's it. it won't end crime. like the single decrease than suggested they might already hint the ammo to any gun so it somewhat is pointless. The is for while the come to confiscate weapons they comprehend who has a stockpile of ammo. Moon bat.
  • How? Because he was behind by more than 20% less than a month ago? The fact he was able to cut it to where he did in such short order is indicative of all the money he spent, and spent well. Pretty darn impressive if you ask me. Doesn't matter anyway... I have a feeling PA is going McCain either way.
  • he didnt lose by a big enough amount because the [ republican crossover voters ] voted for him . he has a lot less support than he thinks, when the republican go back to McCain he wouldn't have enough to win any way.
  • He spoke to the wrong crowd about gun control an insulted them by insulting them by saying "small town bitterness." It really doesn't say much, as Obama is way in the lead. McCain will win in November no matter who runs against him. McCain 08
  • helloooo he is a liberal and they spend money for nothing all the time, daddy soros has mucho Dollar$ wating for him from the 527's to Bash McCain if he makes it..I just wonder what Soros will do , if Obama loses the primary, just add it to the money he makes off of Halliburton?
  • Obama cannot pull off a win for the Dem's in November. The best bet is Clinton.
  • actually, obama did extremely well in PA, even with his gaffe. and as far as him outspending hillary, well what else was he supposed to do with the money? he can't pocket it and if he doesn't use it all, he has to give it over to the DNC. and his money was well spent. hillary had a 20 pt. lead three weeks ago. obama cut that lead in half. so overall, his money was well spent and hillary may have won but she didn't win. keep watching and listening to the news. you'll see what i mean.
  • I didn't read the other answers before answering. My answer is because of his little comment in San Fransisco about the people of PA. I'm sure someone else has already said it. In my opinion, it serves him right.
  • sorry, but these people are kind of right, try to find a job to save money and relocate afterwards.
  • No sympathy here. I was a single mother too. However, I chose to work and not "go on welfare" So you'll have to do what I did. GET A JOb and WORK FOR THE MONEY.
  • Sorry approximately what's happening with you and your loved ones. i'm additionally sorry to tell ya that it somewhat is going to likely be only impossible for you and your hubby to collect unemployment because you probably did leave your previous interest. have you ever tried to be conscious at momentary employment agencies? i don't be conscious of what sort of training historic past you and your hubby has, yet that assist you 2 alongside quickly. I wish you solid success.
  • Yeah I've got a suggestion ...... get off your backside, stop playing on Yahoo answers and get a job ! Why should the taxpayer constantly support you ?
  • Your choices include: Sell crack Sell yourself Rob a bank Marry a rich man Win the lottery Stay where you are (I bet your daughters family will be happier with this option.
  • ask your taxpayer neighbors to help you - I'm sure they would be glad to get rid of a drain on society, and a scam artist who is a leech on society.
  • A job maybe ??
  • I came to florida im a automotive tech and i get paid flat rate(by the job), In pennsylvania we had state inspections and state emissions tests and in florida we dont, im pretty new in this field and you basically get better pay with expeirence, i make the same hourly rate as i did in pennsylvania but im only averaging 25-30 hours a week, my last check in pennsylvania was 54 hours . what should i do, i need advice because i think i should go back home
  • I moved from Maryland to Florida a little over 2 years ago. I love the weather here and my health seems better. But the economy here is really the pits, especially in the county where I live. Jobs are hard to find and the pay is low. There is no state tax here, which is a real plus over what Maryland was like. I'm not sure about Pennsylvania. Do you have the possibility of getting more work hours at your job as you get more experience? Is there a place you could work part-time to supplement your pay? Could you get your old job back when you go to PA? I thought about moving back up north too. There are some questions you have to ask yourself. Do you mind the cold weather, snow and ice? Are your living expenses less here? Does the money you make go further here? You have to figure how much it will cost you in moving expenses as well. If you have to get your own place in PA, how much that will cost you in security deposits, etc. Do you like the area here and the people here, or do you miss your old friends in PA? If you do decide to go back, I would tell your friends/roommates as soon as possible so they can make arrangements to get a new roommate.

  • http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08298/922... In part, the article reads: "Friday October 24, 2008 Updated: 11:46 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2008 By Dennis B. Roddy, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin today delivered her first-ever policy address, promising to be an advocate for families with special-needs children. Immediately after the address, she headed for the airport to board a campaign plane for Missouri, where she is scheduled to give a deposition in the Troopergate case that has dented her image as a reformer in her home state of Alaska. Today's speech, given in a ballroom at the Airport Marriott, carried no dollar figures, but was filled with pledges that a John McCain administration would fully fund the Individuals with Educational Disabilities Act and extend federal funding to states to fully provide educational services to special-needs students. In 1975 the federal government agreed to pay 40 percent of the cost of education for children with special-needs, leaving states to pay the rest. Although that policy is now 33 years old, the money was never appropriated, leaving the states short by $16 billion -- money Ms. Palin said she and her running mate are committed to providing. "Portions of IDEA funding have actually decreased since 2005," she said. "This is a matter of reprioritizing."" My Question: During one of the debates, McCain has promised across-the-board spending cuts. He also scoffed at Obama's reply which indicated across-the-board cuts are irresponsible because some areas are underfunded, while other areas are over funded or should be completely ellimated. To me, Obama's plan seems more responsible and honest whereas McCain is alread backpeddling. What are your feelings about this matter? Who was lieing, McCain or Palin?
  • I have never understood why parents of children with disabilities have ever supported this woman. You should see the National Forum on Disabilities.. Tom Harkin represented Obama, while McCain was there via Satellite. In this debate McCain made it more clear that he would not expand medicare and social security he even said that there is simply no money. Even when we talk about troops, he has repeatedly voted against bills funding their care after they return with a disability. They will not help people with disabilities.
  • I take it you are a special needs mom, I am too. I am sure a lot of these people who answered your question do not even have kids. If you are a such a mom you know that we are really in charge, especially on issues of such as our kids health. Sara Palin is one of us, she knows how tough things get. Her sister has a 13 yr old autistic kid, was he the one tasered? I sure hope not! Any ways my point is she sees the issues family's deal with and knows she has the same problems coming someday. She will help us, help our kids. Doesn't Mc Cain have a special needs kid too? On another note, my sons doctor, told me Palin would help us and her field. She said many doctors in her field would have to quit he field because the Obama tax increases.
  • Because they are not on the same page about a lot of things. You can tell by the tension and inconsistancy in their campaign, they often contradict themselves. And for the people who think that she's going to 'cut pork' it sounds more like she really loves the bacon (tax fraud in Alaska, unethical use of campaign funds which CANNOT be used for clothing, vacations, gym memberships, and abuse of power).
  • Well, if she is going to donate her designer duds to charity, maybe my son with autism can wear those....he'll have to cross dress, but what the hey! She has consistently cut services for special-needs education in Alaska...so I do not believe she cares one whit about people with special needs. I feel sorry for her child with Down Syndrome....poor thing is treated like a prop.
  • Both are saying whatever they think will get them elected. Neither plan will work and neither of them will actually even try to fulfill half of what they promised.
  • You and I KNOW THAT THESE 2 HAVE THEIR " WIRES CROSSED ". Wanna know why Mr. McCain wants to make cuts ?? READ THIS WHO ARE THE TAXPAYERS PAYING FOR ??????? John McCain's son, Andrew, who is CFO of his mom's beer distributorship, "sat on the boards of Silver State Bank and of its parent, Silver State Bancorp, starting in February but resigned in July citing 'personal reasons.' Andrew McCain also was a member of the bank's audit committee, responsible for oversight of the company's accounting," according to AP. The failure -- which was caused by "poor-quality loans primarily related to real estate development" -- will cost the FDIC deposit insurance fund between "$450 million [and] $550 million," according to AP. Silver State's motto was "When the casinos treat you poorly, let Silver State treat you like a valued customer," according to its website. Although AP reports he was adopted by McCain and his first wife, Andrew is following in his father's footsteps. John McCain protected Charles Keating from government regulators because he had arranged a real estate deal for his second wife, Cindy. The failure of Keating's S&L cost taxpayers $3.4 billion. Taxpayers got off relatively cheaply bailing out Andrew's former colleagues.
  • Palin is going to help by donating her $150000 clothes off to charity.

  • McCain promised a freeze on all programs except for those deemed necessary. Now national defense will be one, but who knows what others will be deemed necessary. if they make cuts on the other programs there is a huge savings to do other things.
  • Why is it always more money with you democrats?? Since when has the same amount of money used more efficiently been taken off the table?? It makes sense people, anyone with a checkbook can figure it out. When your in a hole stop digging and stretch your dollars further!
  • ok so i live in spain but im going on vacation for 3 weeks around xmas to PA. my luggage might end up being overweight(going there and coming back and i might be checking 2 bags both ways) and im really not sure how much money ill need for food, shopping, and anything else i might need. anybody have any idea of about how much money i should take?
  • If your bags are overweight they might charge up to $175 additional. I would check the airline website to see how much overweight luggage is. If you're going to a bigger city in PA, then you might need more money than a smaller city. Dinners generally cost between $10-$20 at restaurants plus drinks. Otherwise, I'm not sure how much shopping you're going to do, or where in PA you are to fill you in on anything else. Good luck!
  • if your staying at a hotel youll need like alot of money for shopping and food i would say youll need alot of money for 3 weeks
