Frequently asked questions about loan oklahoma

  • I"m no lawyer and you're not going to get legal advice here. My advice to you is to show proof that you paid off the loans. This comes from several years of watching TV court shows, haha.
  • Student Loans Check the site thoroughly. It’s an excellent site with some wonderful options for you. It will definitely help you. Have a look. My friend recently used http://best-online-loans.info/studentloan.html
  • Don't you have receipts, canceled checks or other proof of payment? If you paid cash in person it may be that the cashier kept the money especially if you didn't get a receipt. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened.
  • talk to several banking instiutions...DO NOT visit these people who (on the internet or computer) state "call me...i can help you"...they cannot....they only are concerned about their commissions. talk to several local banks in your area. they are your best bet. STAY away from ARMs(adjustable Rate Mortgages)...you need: a fixed, 30year with no prepayment penalities. LOCAL BANKS ARE THE BEST! good luck...again stay away from the scammers....they lurk everywhere.
  • God only knows where myfico.com gets their rates from. I get people with 620 scores rates in the 6's all the time. The best 30 year fixed-rate loans right now would be in the 6.5-6.75% range. If you're putting nothing down, that will probably add another .25-.5% to your rate, plus mortgage insurance. Shop a few local banks and brokers and see what you can get.
  • obviously this is not exact, but it is from myfico.com 760 - 850 6.42% $1,353 700 - 759 6.64% $1,385 680 - 699 6.81% $1,410 660 - 679 7.03% $1,441 640 - 659 7.46% $1,504 620 - 639 8.00% $1,586
  • Okay, heres the situation. My husband has 3 loans in Oklahoma from World Acceptance, Colonial Fianace, and Security Finance. He lost his job when our daughter got out of the hospital at 6 weeks old. I have paid these loan companies what I can but they still say the can take legal action. From more than one person I have heard that they cannot do this and that it will go on his credit record. Is this true? Is there anyone in oklahoma that knows anything about this? Help.............
  • Hold on to every thing that proves you have made a payment to these companies. As long as you are making an effort to pay something on these loans they cannot take legal action. They say that to try to frighten those of us who they know can't make full payments to them. As far as his credit I am not positive. But I'm pretty sure the only thing they could put on his credit would be that he was slow to pay since an effort has been made. I'm not in Oklahoma but I do know this from situations I have been in myself. Hope this helps some.
  • Maybe they can't take legal action against you, unless you co-signed the loans, but I don't see why they can't take legal action against your husband. Of course being late or behind in payments will go on your cedit report. Credit counseling is mandatory before a bankruptcy filing. I suggest you set up an appointment and see if the counselor can come up with any alternatives for you.
  • I'm not in OK and I'm not a lawyer, but chances are they won't sue. What will they get? You probably don't have much. This is a scare tactic used by collections agencies. Just hang up on them. If you're making payments they should be happy.
  • I thnk lenders are laying off not hiring right now.
  • Most are commissioned and your earnings are based on your ability to sell. In this market, unless you are experienced and have a lot of contacts still working in the industry, then you will do as well as any.
  • Yes they will for about 1/4 of what it is worth. If you do not pay them back on time they will keep it. It is a dumb way to loose a family heirloom.
  • If your part of there tribe then it is a possibility I'm sioux and I know that our tribe does some grants for things like this. Call you tribal office and they'll know.
  • Hmmm...one state out of 50 has a smart state legislature. That doesn't say much for the rest of us!
  • Good for Oklahoma. Stay away from this administration's quick-fix schemes - they're sure be ineffective and cost plenty to operate in the long run.
  • Oklahoma didn't vote for the current administration either.
  • There's a state called Oklahoma?!?!?!
  • Because Oklahoma is the belt buckle of the right wing bible belt.
  • Only if you are on the title to the car. That's what car insurance is for.
  • No. As a cosigner, you are only responsible for the loan if the primary borrower defaults. You have no rights or control over the car. In some states, you might not even have the right of repossession.
