  • Obama has done a great job. We are better off than in the 2008 recesssion. Go on the freeway and see all the 18 wheelers taking supplies to businesses. Go to walmart and see all the customers and all the products that have been produced recently. Go downtown and see all the people working and selling and buying things. Look at the jobs report and see that 93% of Americans have jobs. Obama has helped our economy and our nation in spite of the Republicans who tried to ruin our economy and then said, "We are here to save you from the mess we made" The Republican Record of how they tried to ruin America. 1.Tax companies that ship jobs overseas – BLOCKED (Source) 2.The Dream Act – BLOCKED (Source) 3.Political Ad disclosure Bill – BLOCKED 2x (Source) 4.Small Business Jobs Act – BLOCKED 2x (Source) 5.Anti- Rape Amendment – BLOCKED (Source) 6.Benefits for Homeless Veterans – BLOCKED (Source) 7.Affordable Healthcare for America – Voted 33x to Repeal (Source) 8.Healthcare for the 9/11 First Responders – BLOCKED (Source) 9.The Jobs Bill – BLOCKED (Source) 10.Wall Street Reform – BLOCKED (Source) 11.Oil Spill Liability – BLOCKED (Source) 12.Immigration Reform – BLOCKED (Source) 13.Fair Pay Act of 2009 – BLOCKED and DEFEATED (Source) 14.Unemployment Extension Bill – BLOCKED (Source) In 2012 they want you to think that Obama is to BLAME! http://voice4america.com/paulbrown/2012/... • How can the TeaParty hang so much on Mitt Romney. Things he has done and said to get to where he is now flies in the face of what the true TP stand for. It makes a mockery of the TP that they should support a candidate such as Romney. It is amazing. Race plays a big part - I have no doubt. If Obama was more white than he is, he would have no problem of getting his second term. His record, when stacked against Bush's spell in the Oval Office, Obama's job creation in less than 4 years is way better than what it was under Bush over eight. that alone speaks volumes. Romney...? Here's a quote of a comment I've seen by a guy called StudioBernie on an article called 'Where the Money Lives' on Vanity Fair.com by Nicholas Shaxson; (a must read short article) that states... For all Mitt Romney’s touting of his business record, when it comes to his own money the Republican nominee is remarkably shy about disclosing numbers and investments. Nicholas Shaxson delves into the murky world of offshore finance, revealing loopholes that allow the very wealthy to skirt tax laws, and investigating just how much of Romney’s fortune (with $30 million in Bain Capital funds in the Cayman Islands alone?) looks pretty strange for a presidential candidate. StudioBernie (says) If Mitt can't be honest about how he made his money, why would we expect a President Romney to be honest about the serious stuff like torture, spying on American citizens, or sending American soldiers to be killed in foreign lands? In the 1980's, a lot of us made our living taking U.S. jobs to Asia and Mexico, financed by private equity capital. That gave us cheap televisions, computers and home appliances. It created the Walmart's, Microsofts and Apple Computers of the world. And our work wasn't a secret - we proudly wore our khakis and golf shirts through customs at the San Francisco airport. Show some guts, Mitt. Make us proud. Show us why we should make you a leader of the free world. ... said it all really!!!
  • I am a republican because i believe in individual rights, and that the collective can only be helped if the individual is helped, not the other way around. I am a republican because I believe in Gun Rights. I am a republican because I want to carry on the tradition of great men such as Abraham Lincoln, William McKinley, William Howard Taft, Andew Mellon, Calvin Coolidge, Ronald Reagan, William F Buckley and Jack Kemp. I'm not a big fan of Romney, but I feel 75% of what i get from romney is better than 5% if Obama is elected. My party is far better at handling economic issues and rebuilding america, In my opinion ( i know others disagree). Also i live in Ohio too, vote Romney/Ryan.
  • 1) My daddy was an MBA and VP of a tiny corporation. His father-in-law was a union organizer. I got to listen to the republican and the Democrat battling it out hammer and tongs since I could remember. I went to University and got my degree in political science. The more I personally see of the world, the more strongly I am a Democrat. If men were angels no government would be necessary; if men were governed by angels any government would suffice. I interpolated from that to if corporations were angels they would not need government regulations, if Corporations were ruled by angels, minimal regulations would suffice. There is a need for government and government regulation of corporations. 2) What I think? Whatever. They are both controlled by Wall Street, it is just a matter of how hard they figh tthat control, Romney would be a willing slave, 3) Please not try 18th century solutions to 21st century problems. Please quit looking back to 1965 and wishing we were still there.
  • With no mention of the issues that actually concern us by either- one has to wonder if we even enter into their preconceived notion for America. They talk of deficit reduction, but never do.The lessor of two evils campaign is getting old. Third party candidates are the only ones that address the real issues concerning the working man/woman and their day to day struggles. Prayers from Ohio for the USA.
  • You are a Democrat because you come from a Welfare Family. I'm a Republican because I come from a Working Family. I'm from Wooster, OH. I would NEVER vote for the America-Hating Communist Obama.
  • Short and sweet answer...4 more years of Obama and we will not have a country left to love.
  • Republicans vote Romney because they only vote for white people.
  • Using that guy's logic we can assume Democrats vote Obama because he is black?
  • what great president?
  • No matter what the liberal media wants you to believe, It's already a two-man race. Of the 2,286 total Republican delegates, 1,144 are needed to win nomination. In five (5) States: Virginia, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee and Illinois, Gingrich and Santorum are not even on the ballot. That's 564 delegates that they cannot get. After Florida, only 109 delegates have been allocated to the 4 candidates. Mitt Romney has 84 of those. This means Santorum or Gingrich has to pick up 1,144 delegates from the remaining 1,613. Let's say that Paul only picks up 20% of the total number of delegates --(I happen to believe he will do much better)-- but let's pick a small 20%. That's 457 delegates for Paul. Add that to the 673 that Newt and Santorum won't have a shot at and now there are 1,130 delegates that Santorum and Gingrich have no chance of getting. Subtract that 1,130 from the total 2,286 and you're left with 1,156 delegates. That means that Gingrich and Santorum, one or the other, would have to pick up over 92% of the remaining available delegates to get the nomination. So, essentially, we're down to Paul and Romney. A vote for Gingrich and Santorum is a wasted vote! A vote for Paul is not a wasted vote and may well mean that the next President of the United States will be a man that, for the last 30 years, has never broken a promise, compromised his principles or waffled his position on an issue. A man that still believes that the Constitution of the United States is THE law of the land and that the protection of our individual liberties is the primary reason for the Federal government. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> So between Romney and Ron Paul who will you vote for? • While Ron Paul is not your traditional politician, and is painted by the media as extreme, the voters are starting to realize that it is the traditional status quo politicians that led us right into this economic Armageddon. Those “traditional” views about everything – debt, taxes, spending, entitlements, Social Security, bailouts for billionaire bankers, the Fed, wars – led to the insolvency and bankruptcy of this great country. Perhaps it’s time to think "out of the box." Even more damning, these same traditional beliefs have led to an unprecedented economic disaster facing Europe at this moment. Europe’s survival is in doubt because of too many government employees, big pensions, too much debt, spending, entitlements, taxes, free healthcare, powerful unions, and the “green energy” fraud. America has followed this same tragic path under both Republican and Democrat Presidents. Ron Paul has been warning us for many years. Ron Paul predicted the Community Reinvestment Act, Fannie Mae, and Freddy Mac would destroy the housing market. He predicted reckless government spending would lead to an unemployment crisis. He predicted the high cost of college, driven by student loans, would enslave college graduates. He railed about “crony capitalism.” He voted against the unconstitutional bailouts to banks and Wall Street. He predicted the Fed's irresponsible printing of fake dollars would burden our children with trillions in debt. He was right. Americans are starting to notice. RON PAUL, 2012!!
  • Ron Paul Why in world would someone vote for two face Romney? If Romney is the RN, Obama will win by a landslide. He's the poster boy for an unfair tax system, voted for bailouts, invented Romney Care/Obama Care, wants to increase military with money the U.S doesn't have, etc, etc, etc. Mitt vs Mitt: The sad story of two men trapped in one body. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9njHHyRI... • Romney, its not a 2 man race tho its a 1 man race... As i have said 1,000 times Ron Paul has ran for president 3 times...... He has NEVER won a SINGLE state. 0-104 I don't understand why people keep thinking hes going to win the nomination.... when he has yet to win a state vote lol.
  • Ron Paul!

  • I dared Mitt Romney to prove to us all just how easy "the poor people" have it by living on a welfare and food stamp budget for a month. Send him a message. Let's see how much pressure we can bring. It sure will be fun watching him squirm out of it. http://voices.yahoo.com/mitt-romney-food...

  • this is an interesting exercise in what if. The Republicans have already decided to run Romney, the primaries are just a front to make the masses think they have any say or input into who gets the nomination. (if this boils down to a contest between Gingrich & Romney then it's no contest because the Repubs WILL NOT run Gingrich on their ticket for POTUS) I would love to see Ron Paul win the nomination & slap that smug expression right off of Romney's face but that's not going to happen.
  • A lot of numbers and they do make sense........BUT.... You've ( unintentionally I'm sure ) left out one lil' item. For argument sake only, looking at the >>national perspective<<, not the GOP caucuses - Paul makes the primaries against Obama - Obama will win a 2nd term. Paul has made it crystal clear - as president he'll immediately submit a budget to congress cutting $1 trillion out of the budget. No entity, no division of the U.S. government or recipient of what ever service would be impacted would accept that kind of immediate cut. And all those people have Con & dem house reps and senators. Therefor listening to what would be a massive national outcry, congress responding from their constituents would never vote on it. From that reality, just like legalizing drugs as Paul says, he can't do squat without congress approval. ===> This is the core reasoning why Paul could never and won't win the GOP. Rational minds prevail. You may like him, you may support him....but to actually think your vote for him takes priority over the majority of the country by all national polling is ridiculous. There is reason why only 9-12% support Paul. That's not the question you should be asking. Your question should only be why 85+% aren't. That's where the rubber meets the road.

  • I respect Dr. Ron Paul's integrity, but Washington styled politics is no fan of such virtues. The media and other beneficiaries of the Status Quo are taking care to see that exposure for Ron Paul remains minimal. Standards have to be lowered in order to be excited at the prospect of a Romney-Gingrich race.
  • Embracing Dr. Ron Paul's ideas is the only way to solve our run away debt cut the over blown government down to size and eliminate the lobbyist that make our political process a laughing stock. Romney couldn't make a band-aid on Dr. Ron's butt
  • Newt Rick Mitt Ron this is the order of my support.
  • Ron Paul 'Nuff said
  • RON PAUL 2012!!!!
  • You do realize, one would hope, that true Liberals comprise only about one-fourth of the overall Democratic party, do you not? If you want to reach a wider audience, you might want to address Democrats in general---we are the MAJORITY of Americans! The "Obama-care" of which you speak is gaining in popularity as more and more people realize they BENEFIT from the provisions---not just in the Affordable Care Act of 2009 and its CONSUMER-PROTECTING insurance reforms, but also the added provisions in the subsequent FIX IT bill which passed that same night and was signed into law the following Monday by President Obama (see whitehouse.gov for more details). Free preventive-care checkups, children up to age 26 can now stay on their parents' plans, college students can now save thousands of dollars by making DIRECT LOANS through the Department of Education and eliminating high-interest banks as middlemen; modernization of medical records (computerization) to cut costs and eliminate both medical errors and duplicate tests or procedures---also giving more actual face time between doctor and patient; none of the 1300 greed-driven for-profit insurers can now DROP premium-paying consumers if those consumers suddenly become ill or injured; subsidies to small business owners who wish to provide health care coverage to themselves or their workers; etc. The Cap-and-Trade is similar (but better written, economists and environmentalists agree) than the one put through by Bush/Quayle. The idea on these cap-and-trade efforts is to REDUCE overall pollution by letting non-polluting companies sell-off their unused allowance to companies that do pollute (with government approval or oversight on the exchanges) so that the END RESULT is a lessened overall pollution. Before you negate the idea, at least READ THE BILL (whitehouse.gov or ReadTheBill.org are good resources). There is NOT another "stimulus" pending, and the first stimulus (or Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) has not all been spent---and was FULLY PAID FOR (did not add one thin dime to the Republican-caused deficit)! October 1st is the start of the Obama administration's SECOND fiscal year (and second budget submission---his first budget was from October 1, 2009 through to September 30, 2010), and some of the original stimulus (the $787 billion) is due to be distributed for this fiscal year. See recovery.gov for more details on this distribution, state by state. And by the way, there were NO "earmarks" allowed in the stimulus---a rarity for Washington! TAX CUTS ("across the board," according to Bloomberg in June 2010) are what President Obama and the Democrats have given. In addition, the Obama administration and the Democrats REDUCED THE DEFICIT by 8% in the first quarter of this year! That latter was reported in Reuters and Washington Post in June (posted on Yahoo's home page news), and was also reported on MSNBC and CNN shortly thereafter. On April 1st of 2009, 95% of working Americans got themselves a TAX CUT! With the passage of the President's JOBS bill, small businesses are due for CAPITAL GAINS tax cuts if they hire long-term unemployed American workers or give raises to existing workers (to stimulate consumer spending that GROWS the shrunken economy)! In addition, small business owners can have a three-month waiver on Social Security taxes for every new hire who has been out of work for more than six months! What entitlements? Spending in President Obama's FIRST BUDGET was for $90 BILLION LESS than his predecessors' $1.09 TRILLION budget, and President Obama has given standing orders to his Department heads to CUT SPENDING for each successive budget starting with this current one by 5% or more! You're barking up the wrong elephant-trunk...er...tree, here. Democrats are the fiscally sound ones---Republicans are the drunken-sailor-spending, deregulating-corporate-colluding, outsourcing-our-jobs, nation-destroying, deficit-causing, financial-system-meltdown-making economic incompetents who brought this nation to the brink of THIRD-WORLD STATUS! VOTE DEMOCRATS ON NOVEMBER 2nd!
  • my friend I disagree with you here in ohio in the last 50 years democrats raise taxes 2 times the republican 30 sorry
  • If I were nearing retirement age or had my own law-firm to fall back on, maybe so but if I still wanted to be a congressman, Hell No!. This is an argument Against term limits. If I was out anyway, I would support it if I were a Marxist Socialist like Obama is
  • You don't even know what entitlements are.
  • The CIA was hiring, last I heard. In terms of civilian jobs that are now being created due to President Obama's push for his green-energies technologies initiative, several earth-friendly new plants are being opened in states across the country. In Wixom, Michigan, for example, there is a 340-acre former Ford Motor car factory which is now being used to create three different companies' wind-powered and solar-powered products. Other plants are in Colorado, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and so on---making hybrid car batteries, wind turbines, solar panels, setting up energy grids, windmills, etc.---the wave of our future (restored) manufacturing base. You might be able to get a job with BP in clean-up...or in the U.S. Post Office, or you could use your military benefits to get a college degree (and the Obama-increased Pell Grant) and go into teaching or medicine. College loans can now be made DIRECTLY from the Department of Education, eliminating the high-interest-charging banks as middlemen---a part of the new health care and insurance reforms Fix It addendum. There are incentives to start your own business built into the first half of the Recovery and Reinvestment Act dollars (the "stimulus" bill), with the second half due to be released in a few months. If you do a thorough analysis of your community and determine the needs which go unmet, you could perhaps create a small business to fill those unmet needs and get help from your Secretary of State in the form of grants, credits, or low-interest loans. If you are any good with computers and can spell, one of the higher-paying jobs from the new laws for health care reforms involves transferring medical records from handwritten format to high-tech computerization---and the starting pay for experienced professionals (i.e., Nurse Case Managers or computer whizzes who can actually read doctors' handwriting...lol) was listed as $60,000 a year, plus health benefits. You could become a mercenary with Xe, formerly "Blackwater," who received a multi-million-dollar security contract from the government to guard embassies in troubled areas. There is also an effort on the Obama administration to modernize computer access for rural areas (power grids)---this might be an area where jobs are on the rise.
  • 11B from the guard as a PSC/PMC?? I don't think so. You need a bachelors degree to be any kind of special agent or any officer in the CIA.
  • schooling would definitely help. But when you get out of the Army you could always become a private security contractor (good money and there will always be a need for security)
  • Sorry, yet i won't believe you. > I purely pick somebody to nicely known that that's what i'm. That that's no longer good. < ...! what's it it quite is ''no longer good'' ?
