Frequently asked questions about check cashing columbus ohio

  • hi my name is erica and i was going to get my full name changed soon i am 21 and will be 22 later this year. but i was just wondering how much would it cost to get my first middle and last name (full name) legally changed . if so how much and how long do you have to wait to get it changed to your new name .. and what all do you have to do . whats the steps and the cost for everything.
  • I found this information at the Franklin County, Ohio site below and if it's not 100% accurate for your county, at least it will give you an idea. See the site for much more info and links. 1. Q. How much does it cost to change my name? A. The cost to file a Name Change Application in the Probate Court is $108.00 plus the cost of publication ($30.00 through the Daily Reporter and $50.00 through The Columbus Dispatch). Costs are to be paid by credit or debit card (accepted online only). If you apply in person you may pay by cash or money order, personal checks are not accepted.
  • This is a Car category.
  • Morning everyone. I've been car shopping online for a few days now. I am looking for a good reliable used car. I came across these 2 cars and i need your help with what you think will be good for the prize and reliable. Please check both cars... Links provided. Thank you http://colsauto.com/used-inventory/2007-Chevrolet-Impala/30b15025404638b50112e9e63a983505.htm http://66.219.133.192/temps/details.cfm?searchvkid=533078 PS; I am 23, single and i work 9-5. Columbus, Ohio. I commute about 20 miles to work one way. Just an average 24yr old with not lot of cash.. lol. Thanks
  • Mileage does not matter to me. I am a chevy fan. I've had a 2004 chevy for about 4 years now and i have no problem with it. Due to gas prize going some what up a little, i want to be on a safe side when it comes to buying a car that gets good gas mile. Reliability is a most. I don't want to have a car that brakes down on me all the time. I cannot afford that. 2007 impala is newer but Toyota holds a great reliable reputation. 2000 kind of little old. but i don't know..
  • The Camry is too expensive given that it's 10 years old with over 150K miles. That's the base model and the mileage is high - Edmunds shows a dealer value of $4100 for that car, and a private party value of just $3200 (and I'm guessing you have no warranty at all from a wholesaler): http://www.edmunds.com/used/2000/toyota/... Use Edmunds to research cars, that price is ridiculous. As for the Impala, per Edmunds that's a really good price, just over trade in value. Do they have maintenance records for this car? You'll want to be sure it was well maintained given the mileage. I would recommend getting it checked by a mechanic first though (this is ALWAYS a good idea) and make sure they give you a carfax report to make sure it wasn't wrecked or anything. The mileage is really high, but it's a virtual certainty that a three year old car with over 100K miles was almost all highway miles, which are the easiest on a car, but again make sure they have records and get it looked at first. http://www.edmunds.com/used/2007/chevrol... Good luck!
  • Personally I would take the camry over the chevy. However, you might try finding a camry closer in price and mileage to the chevy, because there is a couple thousand dollar gap between the two cars. I am not a fan of chevrolets, especially in the recent years. While American cars cost less to repair, the camry will probably be a lot more reliable, especially if you find one with a bit less mileage. For example, my friend had a 2002 impala with 150,000. The transmission had been rebuilt twice and it just went out again, he ended up scrapping the car. Try autotrader.com and see what you come up with!
  • These have a lot of mileage on them. If you are going to spend upto 8k on a car I have a couple of suggestions for you. Ford Focus SVT->Focuses in this price range generally have half that mileage and the svt is a great car to drive; decent performance and good mileage. Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged/Saturn Ion Redline-->These cars are beasts on the road, if you can find one that hasn't been modified very much (gm stage 2 is okay) you'll find a car you enjoy that has amazing performance, a bulletproof engine, get's and cheap replacement parts...if it has the stage 2 kit installed you'll get over 30mpg highway...oh and it should be under 50k miles. You might want to look into a private party transaction, you'll get a better car for the money.
  • the two thoughts are great in spite of the fact that i'm privvey to the yota.... One being in intense college you will get extra useful mileage. additionally the Burban is kind of a tank so some distance as off roading is going it may well be extra useful for mudding no longer likely rock crawling or path utilising. useful you will possibly might desire to do your person custom artwork yet on the same time you will get it carried out your way. All in all i might bypass with the yota. that's all we use out right here in Washington. We off street em haul our boats and motorcycles.... Head up deep interior the hills.... don't be distracted by utilising each and every of the bells and whistles on the Burban returned you are able to make the yota your person no longer purely somebody else's truck you acquire
  • type into search box how to check a used car you check shape you look for problem signs get a checklist you can type into search box year model problems of any car and look up what problems they have had or have my self would choose toyota over any chevy but im a ford guy myself that or nissan's learn to check for signs of problems you shop a round really dont rush its not like buying shoes you cant return if you dont like it
  • I am going to copy and paste my recreation of this letter from a WORD document. I did NOT receive this in an email, i received it in my mailbox at my apartment building. I think it is a Scam but I'm not finding much information on it on the internet: RE: AWARD NOTIFICATION #SMD986UYT FROM THE DESK OF THE PRIZE DIRECTOR / PRIZE AWARD DEPARTMENT Good Day! My name is Karl Walcott; the prize director representing the Sun Trust Lotto and sweepstakes Claim Department. Further to our letter dated December 22ND 2009 in which you were informed of your selection as the prize winner of our quarterly Fifty Thousand Dollars (US$50,000.00) award, we are yet to receive any response from you. Every year we enter 50,000 names from different sweepstakes and lottery databases worldwide including North America, and our network server indicates that you were selected as a prize winner on November 18th 2009 and you still have not claimed your winnings for the sum of US$50,000.00. Now we are required to notify you that if we do not hear from you within 3weeks from the day this letter is sent, your file will be closed and you will no longer be able to claim your winnings. Usually when a winner does not claim their money, there should be a note stating why before we can legally close their file. To elaborate further, this draw was held in Bahamas, where our head office is located. Your lot number drew lucky numbers 5-10-15-24-31-45 which won in the 2nd category. You have therefore been approved for a lump sum pay out of US$50,000.00 at no extra cost to you from our North American payment office located in Columbus, Ohio. Now, we would like to explain to you the Federal and International regulations governing the personal collections of cash prizes. Prize winnings are released to you as soon as your Clearance Fee is deducted and paid. That will be the day that your cheque will be released from our remittance office. Your clearance fee is provided for you and is a calculated amount based on the size of your win as required by Federal and International regulations. Note that once your clearance fee is paid, you will receive your winnings in the form of a certified check or if you request, by bank transfer directly into your bank account or any accounted nominated by you. For security purpose and clarity, we strongly advise that you keep your winning information confidential until your claims have been fully processed and your money remitted to you. This is part of our security protocol to avoid double claims and unwarranted abuse of this program by some nominees. So once again, Congratulations to you! For more information please contact our main processing office in London, UK. On 011-44-772-207-5007. Ask for Karl Walcott or Susan McHill Sincerely Yours Karl Walcott
  • Kitty Sue: It was my understanding in this letter that those fees would be taken out of the winnings once I contacted them and then they'd send me a check. Not saying that I did win anything, I know I didn't, but I wanted to see if other people knew about this. Thank you for all of the helpful information, you are guaranteed the best answer on this question. No I did not buy any lottery tickets, but the letter (to my understanding again) says that my name was picked at random and pretty much the numbers chosen for me, which is another reason I questioned it. I wouldn't know how they got my name and address but whatever. Much thanks to you Kitty. I will be sure to report this as soon as I leave work here in 10 minutes!
  • Its' a scam. There is no Sun Trust in the UK, in the Bahamas or even in Columbus Ohio, here is the real company's contact info, they are in Baltimore https://www.suntrust.com/portal/server.p... Sun Trust has a whole page about scams using their name https://www.suntrust.com/portal/server.p... - specifically about lottery scams "If you think you may be the victim of a lottery or inheritance scam, contact the SunTrust Fraud Resolution Unit directly at 866.493.3446, Option 2. " https://www.suntrust.com/portal/server.p... The phone number they give is a UK Pay as you Go mobile number not a business number, and there is no way to track who owns it This is all you need to know it's a scam: "Prize winnings are released to you as soon as your Clearance Fee is deducted and paid." - that means send us money and we'll disappear with it. And if you are stupid enough to give us your bank acount number, we'll empty your account before you even figure out you've been scammed. You NEVER pay a clearance fee for any lotto wins or any other fees. All fees and taxes are taken out of the total amount before the money is sent to you. If you won $50,000 and there were $1000 in fees, they would send you a check for $49,000. That's how real lotteries work But to back up a few steps, did you actually buy a lottery ticket and pick the winning numbers? if so you would have a copy of the ticket and would be the one contacting the. Lotteries don't contact you if you win, as you don't give your home address when you buy a lottery ticket. If this was sent via US Mail, contact the post office and report it to the Postal Inspector - it's a federal offense to commit mail fraud. Be sure to keep the original envelope. https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/ And report this to Sun Trust right away.
  • Kendra, it is EXACTLY like E-mail spam! Did you enter that lottery, you know buy a ticket????? No??? You can not win something you did not enter or play. Besides Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, Microsoft, MSN and Aol do not have lotteries, reward programs, promotions, or contests. Yes, yes, that will include this one, too! When an E-mail offer sounds too good to be true, then it is definitely not true. That also means junk mail in your mailbox! It is a scam to get your personal information and/or your money, or both! Do not respond to it! Report it. For E-mails: forward it to the FTC at spam@uce.gov and to the abuse desk of the sender's ISP. For Yahoo, report them here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ya... Choose Fraud as the reason for the violation you're reporting on. Also, if the E-mail appears to be impersonating a bank or other company or organization, forward the message to the actual organization. In your case, you want to report it to Sun Trust, Inc. And, then you can consider report it to the authorities. Either the postal service or the FBI, as this is mail fraud, a federal offense.
  • If you ever receive unsolicited checks or suspicious letters in the mail, turn this over to your local post office or your mail carrier and ask them to turn over to the Postal Inspector These scams are never going to stop if people just keep throwing these letters away. You need to report to the Postal Inspector who will work with their counterpart in Portugal to try and track and stop these criminals

  • I am currently on probation in Columbus Ohio for disorderly conduct. I have complete all requirements: Court Costs, Restitution, Parenting Class, etc... except for 1. My PO wants me to do a 40 WEEK ($25 per session = $1000) Anger management course. Based on a general assessment by a social worker. I have no history of anger management & was just place in the class. I have a year left of 2 year probation. PO is very uncooperative. I have only a 29 day sentence if I violate which I prefer over 40 weeks of a class that I don't need. I am contacting an actual licensed psychologist for a 2nd opinion. I would rather due the 29 days than 40 weeks but can I negotiate with the judge to do weekends or community service instead. I don't want to loose my job. But I am sick of this case and I have given more than enough for a misdemeanor charge. Not giving 40wks (almost a year) and $100 for a 30 day misdemeanor. My nieghbor rcvd 29 wks for anger management for writing a bad check a totally non violent charge. It is just a cash cow here, not a real reason to send someone to the class. I would understand if I had a record of violence. Anyone have any ideas???? Only serious answers please.
  • You are currently on probation for disorderly conduct. Your probation officer (wants, recommends, demands) I do not care what the probation officer wants, it should have been stated in the original order what was to be done, if not, can the PO legally order you to attend or do anything they want you to do while under their control (NO THEY CANNOT) Hire an attorney or see one about advice on your order from the court.
  • More than likely the reason for the anger management classes is the disorderly conduct charge. You could hire an attorney, but I don't think it's going to benefit you. You might just consider doing the 20 or 30 days and have it over with! It's certainly a hell of a lot cheaper than the 40 week course on anger management. Perhaps you could get a 30 day leave of absence from your workplace to save your job.
  • I would suggest speaking with your lawyer, if you have one. It seems like overkill for the parole officer to make you do a 40 week anger management course. However, if the judge ordered you to take anger management, then you really do have no choice: it's either take the course, or go to jail. If the judge did not order you to take anger management, then I'm fairly certain the probation officer can't make you do it. After you receive the written report from the psychologist, and speak with a lawyer, I would speak with your probation officer at your next meeting in a calm, non-confrontative way (which shows you don't need anger management), and talk about why you feel you have no need to take this course. I hope I've helped.
  • dont care even if you saw jude judy in your nightmare
  • 1. He Promises Jobs, HOW? Remember he aslo says he will raises taxes on business's, make them pay for numerous programs. HOW will he make THEM hire more? 2. Health-Care: WHO will pay for this massive new government program? Also: Please list ALL the government sponsored programs that have been successful. 3. He Promises to create "HOPE". WTH does this mean? I went to the bank to cash my "hope" check...they laughed in my face. I DO have hope and it is NOT on some politican who promises the world and all for FREE!! 4. LOWER gas prices: Columbus, Ohio Feb 28th 2008. HOW?????? thanks for answering my questions OH BTW...YES I've been to his web-site (lol) now I only have more questions
  • Keep asking the question over and over and over... You will get the same answers with no substance from his supporters. It's like a dog chasing it's tail - I have been trying for weeks on here to get a decent answer about BHO with no luck. "Just go visit his website!" - anyone can put a crappy website up, doesn't mean I should believe it!
  • 1. Opening up the markets for more green jobs. (there is only two states that is doing that right now, CA and OR 2. Heath care is to open up the market to those that need health care that's can't paid for it or is uninsurable. The tax vouchers is no different then the vouchers that home schoolers get. 3. The HOPE messages is not about money, it's about getting our gov't back on track. To help people not business. 4. By opening up the USA gov't's gas reserves. (That's what Carter did back in the 70's to keep gas prices at 60 cent a galon)
  • Tell me.... You are doing the right thing, you are challenging the BS from Obama, He says by ending the Iraq war, and bringing troops home,,,, he will save all that money, There are 150,000 US troops in Iraq, Lets use the base nbr of 35,000. a year salary for all service members there, Thats 6 billion a month. That is a major factor in the Obama nbr he says he will recover, However No matter where these troops go they will still be on the DOD payroll. So he saves nothing. This empty suit has no more of a clue than fly. So America run like hell when this socialist whiner comes knocking on your door.
  • Obama is a great orator, but..................... Where is the substance to anything that he promises ? How can he run our nation when he only has 2 years experience in National Government? Our country is in a real mess right now and we do need someone with experiance. That's why Hillary is the best bet for the USA...let's hope that the voters figure out the difference between Obama and Hillary in time to vote !!!!
  • you may chuckle at that record of 70 grants stored. issues like: "hire a particular adviser to the president on violence against women human beings" "supply a speech at a significant Islamic communicate board interior the 1st a hundred days of his administration" "boost investment to enhance community based prevention courses" "enhance investment to coach widely used care carriers and public wellbeing practitioners" "enhance the Senior Corps volunteer software" "No everlasting bases in Iraq" Gee whiz, such heavy lifting. Who the heck became for everlasting bases in Iraq? maximum each and every thing else is the two increasing or increasing. How approximately reducing? Oh, yeah, I forgot. He cut back the F22 progressed tactical fighter software. I propose, so what if our significant struggling with squadrons are geared up with airplane that have been first produced earlier most of the readers here have been born? So what if we are nevertheless flying B-fifty two heavy bombers that have been first synthetic in 1955? So what if the chinese language are producing a international classification deep water army and a super modern-day militia? i assume the comparable is actual for Obama that became actual of Clinton. "The President has stored each and every of the ensures he meant to maintain." -George Stephanopoulos Senior consultant on coverage and attitude Clinton administration *
  • To that all I have to say is watch the clip of Hillary talking the economy on Jim Cramer's show. Then try to find a clip of Obama talking about the economy with the same detail and knowledge. You will not find it.
  • I don't think he can.I think Hillary van but thats because she knows how washington works. She has alot of friends there. Obama I think he doesn't have enough expeirience to do all that he says hes going to do.All he does is give speeches. He never explains how he is going to do it.When asked he changes the subject.Or say imma stick the people who work all day make alot of money because they earn it imma just stick them with the bill.Thats bull actually to many people on welfare that dont need it to just stick the people who actually earn their money with the bill.
  • his promises are a bunch of hot air,and i doubt, you get one good answer from an obama supporter, but im gonna star this question so i can see later on if their is a good answer.i doubt ill see one
  • Well, his campaign slogan is "Change, We Can Believe In". Well, to pay for all these new programs, the only "Change" you'll see is the "Change" that people drop in your can when you're begging for it.
  • hahahahaha. If you don't want to support Obama, don't. You're not going to get a candidate who is more specific than his (or Clinton's or McCain's) website. Candidates don't generally write a detailed position paper with a specific plan of action for every issue. It seems pretty clear there's NOTHING you could learn about Obama that would see you supporting him. Obama 2008
  • Hey so i have been interested in getting a Capuchin monkey for some years now and I've finally become prepared after a few years of research and house prep. Anyways I've been shooting emails back and forth between this woman named Helena Nicole who says her husband is working in Cameroon right now and left her with two capuchin monkeys. This seems a little bit fishy, as i've heard many many things about 'Cameroon Pet Scams'. I emailed her and asked about the rumours that people are scamming others out of their money. Now I know people are going to be posting answers like, "OMG NO YOU CAN'T GET A PET MONKEY" and just being plain rude about it, but if these people are really scamming, I don't want one! I don't want to risk him getting hurt during shipment... So don't think i'm for animal cruelty or anything... Just saying, I know people are gonna get butthurt. ANYWAYS. I've copy and pasted these few emails I have received, please note, as soon as I asked about the scams she immediately quit replying ;-) so that is why I ask this question here today! : From helena.nicole2@hotmail.com : { We still have a male and female baby monkey presently.they are full-blooded, akc registered, vet check, updated in all shots, DNA registered, Potty trained, good associate with kids and other house hold pets especially cats/dogs, We are located in Ohio Columbus where the baby will be flown/ship from to you. Each of them is going out for the sum of $660, which is the adoption/re-homing fee and all paper works..Please anything you can tell me about you and your home as a place the monkeys will be coming to will be greatly appreciated, so get back to me so i can attach some pictures of the monkeys to you waiting for your reply. } and this one after my reply: {I am impressed to read back from you again.I will be happy to get Harry and Telma over to you,the male and female baby monkey. Please all i will be needing from you is to assure me that the baby monkeys will be coming into a paradise home because we are mostly interested in getting approved homes and not letting them going just for the sake of $$$ ok. I am really glad that the baby monkeys will be coming into a pet loving home, in that case they will never be lonely. they eat most fruits especially nuts and bananas, and also eat most of the food that you will prepare home, however, they will be coming along with a HANDBOOK menu where you can turn to anytime you need help on taking care of the baby monkey, regarding their diet and other stuff. he is not too expensive because we are not out for making money with them, but just to find a perfect loving and caring home for the baby monkeys. I will also like you to know a little about me lol......My name is Helena Nicole a Designer and my husband by name Nkwenti Akote with our little daughter Julie , My husband is the one in control of these cap babies and he was called to Cameroon for an N.G.O program, he traveled with our little daughter. I am here alone taking care of these cap babies and want to make sure i relocate them in approved homes so that i can in time resume my work asap. You will just have to get back to me with your flight/shipping information as seen below. Please note that $660 is for the adoption fee of either Harry or Telma, And that is all what you will be paying for one of them, we will be taking care of the flight/shipping of the baby, because our main aim is not just about the money but also to find a perfect loving and caring home for the baby monkey, that is to say a home that will not only treat the baby as pets, but also as part of their family/home.And if you want both of them, then we can offer both of them to you for a reasonable price, since our main aim is not just all about the money, but also perfect loving and caring home for them.. i will need the following from you in order to proceed Flight/Shipping information. Full Names: State/City: Zip Code: Phone Number: Nearest Airport to you: House Address: If you are willing to put and extra $40 for us to make a house delivery for you?? Name of Cap Baby:Harry and Telma We could do the shipping anytime from now so you should receive the baby as soon as you want, all depending on you. Also make sure not to make any errors/mistake when providing the information above .Meanwhile attach are some pictures of Harry and telma Many thanks and awaiting to read from you back } I have YET to receive another email after questioning her motives. What do you think? Let me know! Thanks!
  • 100% scam. There are no monkeys. There are stolen pictures of someone else's monkey. There is only a scammer trying to steal your hard-earned money. The next email will be from another of the scammer's fake names and free email addresses pretending to be the "pet shipping company" and will demand you pay for shipping fees, in cash, and only by Western Union or moneygram. Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off your cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer. Neither company will tell the sender who picked up the cash, at what store location or even in what country your money walked out the door. Neither company has any kind of refund policy, money sent is money gone forever. Now that you have responded to a scammer, you are on his 'potential sucker' list, he will try again to separate you from your cash. He will send you more emails from his other free email addresses using another of his fake names with all kinds of stories of great jobs, lottery winnings, millions in the bank and desperate, lonely, sexy singles. He will sell your email address to all his scamming buddies who will also send you dozens of fake emails all with the exact same goal, you sending them your cash via Western Union or moneygram. Do you know how to check the header of a received email? If not, you could google for information. Being able to read the header to determine the geographic location an email originated from will help you weed out the most obvious scams and scammers. Then delete and block that scammer. Don't bother to tell him that you know he is a scammer, it isn't worth your effort. He has one job in life, convincing victims to send him their hard-earned cash. Whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money to a scammer. If you google "Cameroon pet scam", "fake puppy sale scam Western Union" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts from victims and near-victims of this type of scam. There are sites where you can look up pictures and find the site or sites where the scammer stolen the cute pictures of the monkeys.
  • I have actually been receiving some of the same scam, however the scam I receive is about horses. Some clues are often broken english, making sure the future home is great, pictures that look like they are from a pro photographer, and asking for location due to shipping arrangements. Often times I can google search a certain breed and the pictures turn out to be the same. Insist on speaking over the phone and seeing the monkeys first, and they will siest to contact you, or they will say that they just recently moved all the way across country so "Oops!" I guess meeting can't be arranged.
  • 100% SCAM 1 - if you are not a zoo, research facility or license animal importer who has dedicated quarantine facilities, there is NO way to import animals from Africa. This is not allowed. Individuals cannot import animals from Africa and any animal coming in from Africa needs to be put into quarantine for up to 6 months. If you tried to ship in any animal from Cameroon or anywhere else in Africa they would be put to sleep upon arrival in the country 2 - It costs minimum $2000 to ship an animal internationally 3 - there are no international pet delivery companies that deliver to your home. You always have to go to the airport to pick up the animal even if they were coming from Europe as there are all sorts of documents to be signed before the animal can be released 4 - You cannot ship baby monkeys internationally or they would die in transit 5 - if you knew about Capuchins you would know that they are New World monkeys, they are not even found in Africa DO NOT respond to these criminals and report them ASAP to the site where you found the monkeys posted before someone falls for it and sends money to these scammers
  • Since this is the classic scam, if you sent them any money kiss it goodbye. Nobody should have to tell you that this isn't a legit thing. Fall for it and everyone you know will laugh their asses off at you. Since they changed ALL the laws about exotic primates just recently, you'd better check to see if they're even allowed in your state. http://www.petmonkeyinfo.com/laws.html If they are, check locally with your city ordinances, if THEY ban them, it would be confiscated. And since most vets would not have the training to care for them, you'll still be trying to locate one with specific exotics training. Monkeys (all of them) are prone to respiratory infections which can be life threatening to them. And, LOL, if you READ what they sent you - no monkey is 'full blooded', and the AKC they mention is a dog breed registration site. The word they meant to use (for dogs) is 'purebred'. But since you aren't looking for a dog and they've sent you that cut and paste junk, yeah...... Primates crossing state lines need special paperwork. Bringing monkeys INTO the USA requires a 6 month quarantine stay, paid for by the people who are bringing the animal in. That means kennel costs every day for 6 months. That alone far exceeds the $600 they list.
  • if you have to ask if this is a scam, i wonder if you have been living under a rock ... and now that person has your email address and whatever other personal information you divulged ... but then again, a person who wants a wild animal as a PET, you might want to pursue more education ...
  • lmao. AKC is a DOG registry. Even if they hadn't messed that up it's obviously a scam.
  • While Expedia is probably the most popular stop to price shop airline tickets, you may want to check out Orbitz. A study done by Airline Travel Advice, Orbitz comes up with the lowest price 99% of the time because they use a proprietary software program not tied to the airline systems. In any event, give them a look. A quick check shows one-way from Columbus to Honolulu (mid-week) starts at $333 if you're willing to make 2-connecting stops. A minor inconvenience since it jumps to $484 for the cheapest 1-stop flight. Alternatively, you could drive to California and catch a flight from LAX. You really won't save much on the airfare, but you've got to get your car to LAX or pay to have it taken there and that could be several hundred dollars more. As for shipping your car to Hawaii, shipping fees from Los Angeles or Seattle will run you $1072 plus an invasive species fee based on the weight of your car, but you're not looking at much more than a few dollars. Unless you're particularly attached to the car or unable to sell it for whatever reason, you may be better off selling and buying another car when you get to Hawaii. Of course, that would require having the cash or having a job in order to obtain financing. You did not mention having a job lined up. Speaking of which, if you do not have a job waiting for you, you may want to look closer at making this move. The job market in Hawaii is particular difficult with the current economic atmosphere. Honolulu is experiencing record high unemployment levels and even in normal times, its difficult for newcomers to find a job there. Just a word to the wise.
