Frequently asked questions about loan springfield missouri

  • should i join need advice? i want to join the navy and i want to go as soon as possible. Im stuck in small town missouri the closest major town springfield is too far away to drive for work. im 17 and broke. my dad was in for 8 years as a radioman and does not want me to join, he thinks i can do better than the navy, he also says he wasted 8 years of his life getting drunk at every port town when he could have been in college getting an education. i graduate from school this may and wont be 18 until november of 08. my mom says she will for sure sign early enlistment for me but my dad say hell no im too young and immature. what should i do? i can easily see myself making an 20 year career out of this. any advice?
  • I am a enlisted guy from a small town in Oregon. I love being in the Air Force. Everybody I know that went to college are paying back huge school loans. Not a single college grad I know is doing a job that is related to their degree. I don't have a single college grad friend that makes as much money as I do. I do not know a single college grad that has traveled more than I have. I do not know a single college grad that has the skills, experience, training, or leadership that I have acquired from the military. I am sure they are out there, its just I haven't ever met one. I love being in the Air Force. 100% of my college has been paid for. Check this out: You can go to college, get yourself $80,000 - $100,000 in debt from school loans and hope that you can get a good paying job having no professional job experience. However, you will have a piece of paper (Degree) that says you set in a classroom for the last 4-6 years listening to some guy talk about stuff that makes you smarter. Its required if you want to have a chance at getting a good job. You can join the military, get your degree for free, and have at least 4 years of professional job experience, secrutiy clearance, leadership skills, management skills, technical knowledge, and world experience.
  • I'll be going in to the Navy after i finish law school but honestly i don't know if I'd join as an enlisted person Then again i was fortunate that my father paid for my tuition if it weren't for that perhaps I'd join so that i could go to college. All i can say is If you go have another goal in mind other than just leaving home and being broke. Like GI bill or OCS Good luck.
  • Follow you heart it not your parent that's going to have to live with this decision Both my parents here in the Army and my mom begged me not to go until I told her I plan on using the Military to pay my schooling and that I would take some online courses Just make sure you pick a mos that you think you will like some people love the military some hate good luck with your decision do what you think is best for you and your life.
  • You can join and still go to school. You can do online classes and have the military pay for it. It's the best of both worlds. Your dad made a mistake and thinks you will make the same ones that he did. If this is what you really want to do, have your mom sign, I don't think you need both parents to sign as my cousin only had his dad's signature. But join, go to school and prove to your dad what can happen to a mature, responsible preson in the military.
  • You can still join, but instead of using all of your free time getting drunk in bars, you can be using a computer to take online courses for credit at a major university. While your in the service you won't have to pay for any of your college expenses.
  • how can you see yourself making a 20 year career out of something you've not done before? If your family has money or at least enough to put you through college than you really should stay home and get an education, because with that you can get a great job, and move somewhere great. when your in the navy/army/whatever realize that you don't matter as an individual, your opinions don't matter or anything else.. It's like someone owns you at all times. Think it through.
  • okay so I've been wondering this for a while because I love The Simpsons well while watching the Season 22, Episode 2 : " Loan-a Lisa " when Lisa uses the $50 she receives from Grandpa to give Nelson a microloan to jump-start his bicycle business when she's looking for some one to give the 50$ to she finds nelson in east spring field when the map on her computer pans to the left it goes to the middle east of the United States when you go to the website http://springfield.ftldesign.com/ it says all the states that have a Springfield. also while looking this up on yahoo answers i found this which some on had said were they made a very close assumption: " Ok i just watched the series finally of The Simpsons and in the episode Kent Brockman said that Ogdenville their NEIGHBOR TO THE SOUTH EAST gave them tainted barley. I remember earlier today i watched Marge vs the monorail. The con artist that gave them the monorail held a map showing where ogdenville was. It was in the are of Arizona. Wait i have more. In an episode commentary on the episode "Old Money"(season 2) matt groening said " Everyone keeps asking which state The Simpsons live in. He said just think its in driving distance of Las Vegas and it can snow. Arizona has snowy mountains and is close enough that you would probably rather drive then take an airplane to it. This means The Simpsons live in Springfield, Arizona. " ohhh very close but .... Arizona is one of the states that does NOT have a spring field in it. now where it says " Kent Brockman said that Ogdenville their NEIGHBOR TO THE SOUTH EAST gave them tainted barley. I remember earlier today i watched Marge vs the monorail. The con artist that gave them the monorail held a map showing where ogdenville was. It was in the are of Arizona. " and where it says " In an episode commentary on the episode "Old Money"(season 2) matt groening said " Everyone keeps asking which state The Simpsons live in. He said just think its in driving distance of Las Vegas and it can snow." now here's where my theory comes in in this state " Ogdenville " would STILL be south east and its still a driving distance to Las Vegas and there's snow there. now before I tell you which state, MORE PROOF!! in Season 21, Episode 19: The Squirt and the Whale Lisa finds a beached whale after a hurricane so they have to be on the coast! so The Sipmson family lives in no ther than.... : Springfield, California. :)
  • That's amazing, you did good research. However, there's been several other clues of The Simpsons "location" which don't fit in with it being Springfield, California. Like in The Simpsons movie, Ned Flanders says "You can see the four states that border Springfield: Ohio, Nevada, Maine and Kentucky." These states don't border each other. In the episode "A Tale of Two Springfields," Springfield was divided between two area codes: 636 and 939. Area code 636 serves east-central Missouri, excluding the city of St. Louis and most of St. Louis County. Area code 939 is in Puerto Rico. In the episode "Moe Letter Blues," Moe says he moved to Springfield because the zipcode spells boobs on the calculator, so their zipcode is 80085. That zipcode is assigned to many states. In the episode "Much Apu About Nothing," Homer points to where Springfield is on a map to show Apu when Bart/Lisa come and cover up the Eastern side of the map, implying Springfield in located somewhere in East USA. In conclusion, there is is no defined location for The Simpsons, it's one continuing gag. :)
  • Springfield Area Code
  • In the episode where at the couch scene the shot pans out from the top of their house, out into space etc. and eventually comes back out from a cell in Homers head, the shot is clearly on the other side of the continent from California. The line between certain states is there - it shous a state line running from around Louisiana, bending to the right between Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky and it even showed the bulge in Iowa. The Simpsons Springfield was a way to the right of this line and below that bulge. In the enmd the georgraspical location on that partivulasr map pointed to either far to the right og Illinois, or in Indiana or even in Kentucky. I Know there's a Springfield in Illinois so that would be my estimate.
  • This Site Might Help You. RE: Which Springfield do The Simpsons live in? I KNOW!!!? okay so I've been wondering this for a while because I love The Simpsons well while watching the Season 22, Episode 2 : " Loan-a Lisa " when Lisa uses the $50 she receives from Grandpa to give Nelson a microloan to jump-start his bicycle business when she's looking for some one to...
  • The Simpsons takes place in the fictional American town of Springfield in an unknown and impossible-to-determine U.S. state. The show is intentionally evasive in regard to Springfield's location. The name "Springfield" is a common one in America and appears in 22 states. Springfield's geography, and that of its surroundings, contain coastlines, deserts, vast farmland, tall mountains, or whatever the story or joke requires. Groening the creator has said that Springfield has much in common with Portland, Oregon, the city where he grew up
  • Do people really not get it yet? You can find "clues" to it being in SVERAL different states, That is the whole point. You can pick and choose specific ones to form any argument you want. Doesn't mean a damn thing because for every piece of evidence you have in favor of you side, there is 5 pieces of evidence proving your wrong. No matter what your side is.
  • Where Is Area Code 636
  • well when watching an episode (i cant remember which one) they auction off a redwood tree. now i live in Canada so i dont know if this is true or not but dont redwood trees grow in California?
  • actually the geography in the Simpsons universe is different to the geography on ours, which is proven by the research in your question which appear contradictory.
  • too bad in the behind the laughs episode they are mentioned as a kentucky family
