Frequently asked questions about maryland lost money

  • I recently lost my part time job because the shop closed, so it wasnt through any fault of my own. And just heard today that MD Unemployment covers part time, but only if you work predominantly 20 hour. I had the job for a year and for the most part i worked 20 to 30 hours a week, but the last 2 months i was working, i only worked like 2 to 5 hours. I averaged out all my hours and it came to 18.something Do you think i could still qualify for unemployment?
  • Here's why your shop closed the scary truth about the real economic condition of the world. 1. The entire GDP of the US is about USD 14 trillion. 2. The entire US money supply is also about USD 15 trillion. 3. The GDP of the entire world is USD 50 trillion. USD 1,144 trillion is 22 times the GDP of the whole world. 4. The real estate of the entire world is valued at about USD 75 trillion. 5. The world stock and bond markets are valued at about USD 100 trillion. 6. The big banks alone own about USD 140 trillion in derivatives. 7. Bear Stearns had USD 13+ trillion in derivatives and went bankrupt in March. Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Lehman Brothers and AIG have all 'collapsed' because of complex securities and derivatives exposures in September. 8. The population of the whole planet is about 6 billion people. So the derivatives market alone represents about USD 190,000 per person on the planet. The Impact of Derivatives
  • *** just send a money order. if it gets lost they'll just replace it for free.
  • Check out American Express for the gift check... I've purchased them at my bank. Not sure if they have insurance on them? I think the Amex website will have that info... These cheques make great gifts btw!
  • Send it through the mail. if you send it cerified, you will now where when and who it gets delivered to. If you insure it (that'll cost you $1.35) you will know the same information as well as be able to get your money back if it gets lost.
  • Go to Vons and get a visa gift card.
  • well i live in Maryland with my mom the rest of the family lives in Michigan i feel guilty because my mother has money we aren't struggling but the rest of my family is my cousin lost her job from not going to work she has 4 kids only 1 lives with her one lives with my aunt the other two stay with their grandma. My grandmother sick my aunt is struggling with taking care of my grandma everyone has problems my mom talks to them everyday but i still feel guilty i wanted to go back but my mom says everytime thier a problem we cant back do you agree with her?
  • well obviously you cant keep on going back to michigan because the rest of your family is struggling. That would be insane you would keep on coming back every week or so. You dont need to worry everything will turn out fine. You could visit them once a month but plane tickets and driving (gas) would be HUGE money. Plus this isnt your fault you cousin didnt go to work she should have been if taking care of kids was a problem she could have put them into daycare. Your grandmother is sick so she should either be taken care of by a doctor or your mother could come down if its that bad.
  • sort of. you could help them a little- but it doesnt have to be what you may think. spending a little time with them, playing with the kids. taking your grandmother to a doctor, taking our cousins for a weekend. she shouldnt turn a blind eye to things- but to a certain extent, you cant get invloved
  • yes. i do. be happy you guys have your life on track. i mean it'd be nice if you could live right where your family is. but you cant. all you can do is just be a phone call or an email away.
  • I move into my new apartment on april 13, 2012. The lease holders are Myself and my boyfriend . No one else. My mother is staying with us for a period of time, it has been 18 days now. She is causing alot of problems and we no longer want her here. My leasing office does not know my guest (my mother) is staying here. She was ask to pay 300.00 towards the rent while being here with us. The rent is 1200. The move in date- she paid half the moving rent 240.00 and help put down the deposit. (Split with 3 of us) Can we eviction her? She has mail coming here as well as my sister house. We live in the state of Maryland. HELP, what are the laws
  • All states are pretty much the same on this. Once you accept ANY money in exchange for her being there, she is your tenant, NOT your guest. You can ASK her to leave, but if she refuses, you will have to file eviction with the court the same way your landlord would have to to get you out. IF you put her out illegally, and anything of hers gets damaged or lost, YOU will OWE Her TRIPLE the value of the items.
  • A legend at Maryland, and a pretty good pro for a while. But when he got to the Knicks, he stunk up the joint. I don't know if the money made him lazy, but he completely fell off. Then this season he rode the bench in Houston. Most fans don't even know he was on there roster. They could have won the West if he was the player he once was, and Yao was not injured. That would really have been The Big 3. Money is ruining the love of the game
  • I don't think that money was the real reason is the fall of Steve Francis, I think that main cause of the fall of Steve Francis was that he just lost confidence in his game when he went to the Knicks. When he was in Houston and Orlando he was the star player and the ball went through him 95% of the time. Then when he went to the Knicks he went to a team that more people need the ball to score and Stevie was left on the bench were he was not confident playing . The Knicks tried to do like a Point Guard dual with Stephon and Steve but they had a shooting guard in Jamal Crawford and they did not want to put there 15 million dollar Point guard (Stephon) on the bench. Now since he is on the Rockets many thought that he will take Rafer Alston's job but that did not happen. Next year hopefully stve can get more playing time and get his allstar confidence back, but with Bobby Jackson on the team it could be hard get both player minutes after Rafer.
  • Steve "The Franchise" Francis, yes in his first stint with Houston he was doing ok because he was their only "star" player, once they got Yao and T-Mac, Francis had to be let go like his was to the Knicks and ride the bench when he came back, Francis was always a score first guard and he took a lot of shots, with Yao and T-Mac there they wanted a more traditional PG to run the plays for Yao and T-Mac, not to shoot the ball.
  • properly the final i heard of him improve into that he improve into signed with the aid of the Rockets and then traded to the grizzlies after he did no longer stay as much as his hype.HE has been injured the vast majority of final season. and in the past all of this took place he improve into traded to orlando for tmac and then back to long island then he improve into traded to the blazers after 2 years who offered out his settlement which could come off the books after this season.
  • its not money, his injury kept him from playing up to his level. houston traded him to get tmac, and after that steves injury kept him out and he just lost his athletic abilities after that. we all know he was only good because of his athleticism, and once he lost that, it was pretty much over for him.
  • what didnt happen to steve francis
  • The state law is more or less irrelevant, because this is a cut-and-dry civil law matter. One party can absolutely sue the other for the money lost (as a general rule in the USA, anyone can sue anyone, no matter the reason except in extremely rare circumstances). It is all a matter of if the judge feels it is justified. Factors include any written agreements, documented and third-party provable verbal agreements, actions taken with clear malicious intent, etc. Ideally you want to seek out an litigation attorney and see if you can get a free consultation. Litigation attorneys often offer to review your case for free, and will take it up if they think you can win.
