Frequently asked questions about best cash advance Hawaii

  • So I'm about to commission in the Army through ROTC, and I've just gotten my first orders. Needless to say, I'm pretty excited, but also anxious as hell! Anyway, if there are any officers or NCOs with some good advice for a shiny goldbar, I'd love it if you'd humor me. -I'm going in single, is there time for the ladies as an active duty officer? -I get the impression that most soldiers never miss an opportunity to piss on 2LT's, is this true? -BAH or on base living? -I drive a crappy PT cruiser, should I upgrade in a month when the cash starts flowing, or stick with the girl that brought me to the dance? -We get 30 days leave per year, do those days rollover? Can I take 60 days of leave if I don't use it one year? -How do the space availible flights work? If I'm going on leave and I wan't to go to say, Hawaii, how would I get that ball rolling? -I don't fully understand the relationship between officers and warrant officers, how does that work? Thanks in advance for any advice given.
  • Your senior NCO's are your best friends. They will take care of you and they will teach you if you have enough good sense to let them. If you don't have that good sense they'll just lay back and watch you fall on your face. You might want to lay off the ladies for a year or so... until you've got a good handle on the job. Only the bad ones get p***ed on. Never buy a new car until you get to where you're going and find out your short/mid term schedule. The days roll-over up to a max of 60 but you will NEVER get more than 14 or 21 off in a row. Never. I don't care what the rules say. Space "A" is not for active duty. You could spend your entire leave stuck in a terminal waiting for room on a flight. Officers are senior to Warrant Officers with the exception that a Warrant Officer will know about 100 times more than you. Respect them like you would any very senior NCO.
  • Go directly to USAA and set up an account. Then keep your cost of living as low as you can, live like you were in college as long as you can and don't' get a new car. save or invest as much money as you can now before you have a wife and family. you will be able to save a lot with deployments and all and still have a lot to have fun. You will not be allowed to live on post in CONUS unless you are married. Using space A is trading time for money (you are waiting leave days to not buy a ticket because you have to be on leave to sign up) I never used it. Get your passport and take it when you deploy because for mid tour the government will buy you a round trip ticket to anywhere on earth, I recommend you not go home to see your mom and go somewhere you could never afford to otherwise. Leave rolls over to 60 or 90 days use or loose maybe more depending on what the deployment rules are at the time they will tell you about it many times every time you sign in somewhere. Unless you are a ordnance or pilot you won't deal with warrants much so don't worry about it. Good Luck LT Oh also don't put your rank in your email because your 3 years as an LT will fly by and you will be a CPT before you know it.
  • You really need to listen to the NCO's. I'd keep the PT for awhile until I know if I'm go overseas. Ladies always aways come around, they are like the bus, another one every 5 minutes......
  • Hello all, I'm wondering how much money I would have after boot camp in the Marines. Minus taxes and uniform costs and EVERYTHING. I've been told from people and my recruiter that you pay for the flight back home for those 10 days. I live in hawaii and my training will be in san diego. One of the top recruits at his boot camp told me the flight back home for 10 days with 1000 bucks. The other recruit told me his grandma paid for the flight back home. Unfortunately i dont have any rich relatives(actually my sister is married to a millionaire but i've never seen 1 cent to help us out) and my parents aren't rich either. I plan on visiting my gf on my 10 day vacation leave but shes living in another state. The flight cost is about 350 dollars. I'm wanting to make sure I have enough money to at least be able to take her out to some places to eat and stay at a hotel or with her for 10 days. So I'd really like to know if anyone has close to accurate numbers on how much I'll have when I get out of boot camp. Also I've been told I will have access to the money right away from my recruiter. Is this true? I dont want to end up having not enough money to even pay the flight to see my gf. I've been told contradiction numbers on how much you get when your actually out. Some people say your lucky if you have 700 dollars cash when your out after all the taxes and paying for stuff. Other people say you'll have 3000-4000!!! So could anyone help me out?? I already know the e-1 basic pay so dont just reply with Ohh u make 1400 a month. I want to know how much I'll have in my bank account that I can use when I am on my 10 day vacation. Thanks in advance.
  • I graduated from PI in 1999. I drove home to MA for my 10 day leave. I had $600 in my bank account when I got home. I think I got another $400 like 3 or 4 days later. Got paid every two weeks. Did I get screwed, maybe I didn't do much following up on it. I could have possibly been reimbursed for it later on as well and didn't realize it. As a Private even in the fleet on my pay day I would get like $458 for my pay check.
  • There is not any bonus only for becoming a member of the Marine Corps. You receives a commission whilst you're there relying on what pay grade you input (both E-a million or E-two). Marine Corps boot camp is approximately thirteen weeks now. It is a instantly thirteen weeks that means no breaks, no time without work. From the day you arrive until the day you depart it's one hundred% coaching to be a Marine. You might ship and acquire mail however that's all. No cell, web and so on. Semper Fi
  • I graduated from San Diego in early '09. I graduated with $1,000, but got paid an additional $500 or so a few days later (on the 15th of the month- payday.) The thing is the Drill Instructors make you buy a bunch of bulls***. Oh and my advice to you is DO NOT BUY any photos or worthless "souvenirs". They cost an *** load of money and you can get them cheaper when you graduate. The gay little souvenirs are just plain worthless and stupid (Why does anyone need a $20 flashing keychain with their boot company on it???)
  • You will make $1,399 per month before tax's Figure $1,100 a month after tax's misus a couple of hundred for hygine products, etc. You don't pay for uniforms, they are issued to you free. So somewhere around $3,000
  • i wrote a bunch of lyrics (4 long verses) and i'm thinking of recording... i'll post the lyrics and show where i need the hook/ chorus... any ideas are welcome (hook) Early in the morning alarms ringing Singing is the first thing I hear Wake up and get ready for the day Clouds are Grey im left in dismay What a horrible day here in BK USA Go to work same old **** The world gives you nothing you have to take it On my way back I have the same old thoughts racing through my head Why don’t I quit, split and spit my rhymes Chase my dreams and try to get signed I’m so caught up in my thoughts That when the bus stops I forget to get off I go to far Its bizarre how it happens everyday Now I have to walk all this way I get time to think about my life… Maybe how I would have turned out if my father would have stayed I would be playing ball and getting paid But that didn’t happen, he left my life, and his wife without a good-bye I remember that day… all my mom did was cry…even a tear fell down my out of my eye I remember at school I always denied that my father left When someone would ask me I’d simply reply “he went on a business trip to Hawaii” Then I remember the day he died We got a letter and inside it said He was drunk driving in his ride When suddenly two cars collided… Then I decided that wouldn’t be my life I’d be there for my son all my life I’d do my best to provide for him all he needs I would make sure he follows his dreams Id give him the encourgement that he needs To succeed in society today in the US of A But them I remember what was good about my father How he taught me useful lessons in life Like how to hold my own in a fight He taught me if they don’t give respect you have to take it Nothing ever comes free in this society. I arrive home and my head isn’t clear I put a on my headphones and I disappear I put away all my problems... I go out with some friends When I get back the clock reads 1:10… I go to sleep and awake the next day wondering where my mind will take me today (chorus) Ever since big and pac got shot raps been declinin Shining, driving, pimping and fine dinning All I ever hear is how much money they got How they say they got shot and how big’s their yacht Everyone forgot how rap used to be lyrical It didn’t used to be bad influence to black society It used to have propriety but now all it is Young ****** milking it for all the cash that they can Damn why cant it be where it all began Getting your voice heard inspiring other brothers To shoot for the sky “Aim for the stars, if you miss youll land in the clouds” my mother always told me that and kept reminding me how MJ got cut from a team but rebounded he put his heart into and he found his spirit inside which pushed him to be the greatest alive he aimed for the stars and now he thrives why cant we revive all the positive messages rap instead all we hear is “in straped lets go sell some crack” I see what it inspires kids to do today. I see it everyday walking around BK Kids join gangs and get into some trouble Then they work at Micky D’s and repeat the cycle Instead of working hard to achieve like micheal Im sick and tired of ringtone rappers They destroy the path that was paved with their lives Pac, big, Jam Master jay they all turn away in dismay When crank that became the number 1 song in the nation It gets played at all the radio stations the frustration That’s its creation causes me want to quit my job Take a vacation in celebration of leaving I head to my Destination but when I return to my occpation I come back Wit the celebration its not number 1… I turn on the radio and What do I hear? Some stupid *** ***** yelling in my ear “get silly, get silly” (chorus) I may not be the illest rapper new yorks ever seen I am still unseen by my style is so serene Maybe one day I’ll get my chance to advance and enhance my finance I have the glance in my eye of a tiger before the kill You know the one that gives you a chill down the back of your spine Like the malign look you get from my nine The one right before you get laid in a box of pine Growing up in the hood starts you a step back You have to gain street knowledge to get on track You can tell by looking in the their eyes The ones who are wild and the ones who tell lies They try to disguise themselves with bling and swearing You cant always believe what they say I grew up living the lives they try to portray Everyday was a struggle to try to stay alive you have to contrive a way to for you thrive I found my strength playing ball on the block I got respect without using a glock But I am in shock every time I take a walk I see kids growing up acting cool by selling crack Being taught if someone shoots at you shoot back If I lived that way my mother would smack me in the back (chorus) Have you ever had a close friend transcend, up into heaven Mine was shot on November 11th Words can’t describe the feelings I had inside When they opened up fire with their Colt .45’s A million different things, blinded my mind But malign evil took over my brain Let me explain what went that day First I wanted to throw him out of a plane but I thought He would suffer more if I cut out his veins At least then I would get to see him stuggle I pain Next I thought I should hang him with a chain, I’d let him hang out in the rain to entertain the evil that was in my brain Before I could get to him they had driven away I guess today god planned him die…. We tried to drive him to hospital to save his life I couldn’t understand why God would take this man from his mothers hand I sat in the hospital until 3:05 that’s when the doctor brought the news that he had died My crew took an oath that we would find the man responsible And show him what he did to the this family of the man he killed But In my neighborhood you learn to forget and move on You never know if you’ll be the next one gone Now he lives with the devil in his soul Stalking him everywhere he goes But he made the choice when he chose to squeeze Now he is the one praying on his knees (chorus)
  • how are these (Hook) Although I have problems and my life’s far from fine I thank you god for allowing me to shine (Chorus) Im a product of Brooklyn far from a crook I always thought I was a lot smarter than I look Your streets taught me everything I know and I thank you for showing me the way to go
  • It's good man. But usually raps are 16 bars max or 8 min and if you want to make a hook the hook should be about 8 max or 4 min. But other than that you have a good rap there.
  • I suppose you must keep residence prepare dinner him his favourite meal then allow hello chill out. If you'll embellish the condo somewhat with roses if he appreciates that form of factor. Run him bathtub water and allow him soak. All that coaching traditionally wore his frame down. Make definite even as doing all this you remind him of the way exact he's to you and what sort of you're keen on and leave out him, inform him how so much he approach to you. This will pump his head up and make him consider like royalty. Wash him up lightly then supply him a soothing therapeutic massage. If you men are having intercourse: Save the Good aspect for final. After all that point some way he would simply desire to preserve you and take pleasure in the second. If now not supply him something he wishes that night time and think me even though you men wouldn't have intercourse he's going to consider like he's the one individual that issues that night time and it'll be exact. Trust me in this one. Afterward allow him realize once more how unusual he's and enable him to float off to sleep. Full stomach, feeling of being exact, little determine, and delight ti finish it. United States ten-dollar bill From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Ten Dollars (United States) Value: 10 United States dollars Width: 156 mm Height: 66 mm Security Features: Security thread, EURion constellation, Watermark, Color shifting ink, Microprinting Paper Type: Cotton-linen Years of Printing: 2006–present Obverse Design: Alexander Hamilton Designer: Design Date: 2006 Reverse Design: U.S. Treasury Designer: Design Date: 2006 The United States ten-dollar bill ($10) is a denomination of United States currency. The first U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton, is currently featured on the obverse of the bill, while the U.S. Treasury is featured on the reverse. (Hamilton is one of two non-presidents featured on currently issued U.S. bills. The other is Benjamin Franklin, on the $100 bill. In addition to this, Hamilton is one of only two persons featured on U.S. currency who was not born in the continental United States, as he was from the West Indies. The other, Kamehameha I, appears on the 2008 Hawaii state quarter.) All $10 bills issued today are Federal Reserve Notes. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing says the average life of a $10 bill in circulation is 18 months before it is replaced due to wear. Approximately 6% of all US banknotes printed in 2009 were $10 bills.[1] Ten dollar bills are delivered by Federal Reserve Banks in yellow straps. The source of the face on the $10 bill is John Trumbull’s 1805 portrait of Hamilton that belongs to the portrait collection of New York City Hall. The $10 bill is the only U.S. paper currency in circulation in which the portrait faces to the left (the $100,000 bill featured a portrait of Woodrow Wilson facing to the left, but was used only for intra-government transactions). the 1934c series is currently worth $10.32 in today's money. • Many sales jobs involve travelling. My husband is an electrical engineer who works for an aerospace defense contractor, and he makes 20-30 business trips to vendors and other contractors during the year, as well as 2-3 trips to conferences and symposiums every year. I have to tell you that travelling on business just isn't as much fun as you might think it is. You have to go where your business takes you, and that isn't always fun. My husband has had trips to London and New Orleans and New York City and Miami, which were fun; but he's also had trips to Midland-Odessa, Texas, in the middle of the summer, when it was very hot; and to Buffalo, NY in January when it was below zero; and to a lot of smaller cities where there isn't a whole lot to do at the end of the day when you're finished with business. The thing you have to remember is that when you combine "job" with "travelling," you aren't going to have a lot of free time. You spend the day doing what you do for your job, and at the end of the day, after you've returned to your hotel and had something to eat, you're usually pretty tired. What's also true is that travelling on business can be a real trial. Most companies don't pay for more than coach-class travel, and if the trip isn't planned far in advance, you may find yourself stuck in a middle seat of a row between two strangers. You also have to deal with things like flight cancellations, delays, all the fun of screening at the airport, and sometimes long delays between flights or short intervals where you have to literally run from one terminal to another to meet your connecting flight. Very few companies pay for top hotels, so you don't usually get to stay in a hotel that's very luxurious or located in an interesting part of town. That can be a real pain. And travelling on business, even if things go well and you do have time to do some fun things, makes you tired. My husband is usually completely wiped out by the time he gets home from a trip. On the positive side of things: if your company allows you to keep the frequent flyer miles and hotel points you earn on travel, it can make for some very nice vacations. As a family, we've gone to vacations on Hawaii, to England and Ireland, and to many cities in the USA where we didn't pay anything for the hotel or the airline tickets because frequent flyer miles and hotel points covered our tickets and hotel. That's really nice, we've been able to have vacations we couldn't have afforded if we paid cash. But the business travel itself isn't fun, so you might want to think hard about taking a job that puts you on the road a lot.

  • 1. What do u do on a cruise? How about children? Just in general, like are there movies, pools, etc... Just kind of a few examples plz. 2. Should we go Caribean islands, Bahamas, Hawaii or Bermuda? 3. Anyone heard anything or been on a cruise w Norweigan Cruises? any good? 4. Traveling with children, any tips? ages 11, 9, and 7... mature kiddos :)) thanks in advance, i no its not the right section but i figured this section would hav lots of cruise travelers hehe :)) thanks!
  • I have been on several cruises over the past decade or so and on a variety of different cruise lines. A lot of what you DO on the boat depends on what the line has to offer. Nearly all will have at least 1 pool, a gym (not always free), a movie theater, a dance "club" and of course a bar. Some of the newer and cooler ships will have outdoors activities such as a climbing wall, a tennis court, or the classic shuffleboard court. All this is for the time you spend ON the boat. What you do OFF the boat is up to you usually though most lines offer excursions for when you make stops. As for where you should go, that's entirely up to where you want to see and how much time you're willing to spend, and of course how much cash you want to shell out. My suggestion would be avoid Hawaii. It takes a loooong time to get there and the longer you're on the boat, the more boredom sets in. I personally loved doing the Caribbean Islands. I was not a huge fan of Bahamas. I don't have personal experience with Norweigan but I have heard good things. I would HIGHLY recommend considering Disney Cruise Lines. I know it sounds a bit cheesy but in my experience, they had the most things to do for the whole family. There's an entire deck that's 18 and up for when the parents just need some vacation time of their own. There are multiple pools and activity rooms for all different ages. There are very entertaining shows in the evenings and movie theaters with early showings of new Disney movies that aren't in theaters yet! The stops they make in the Caribbean are safe, beautiful and the excursions are top notch! The restaurants on the boat are FANTASTIC and you have the option of eating at a new restaurant every night which goes a long way to fend off the monotony of being on a boat for so long. The whole experience is well worth the extra money that you pay. I will warn you however that once you've done a Disney Cruise, you won't want to do any other cruise line. They really are the best at what they do! I sound like a commercial o.0 For the record, I do not work for Disney.
  • I've been on one cruise in my entire life. And it was to Martha's Vineyard, which was about 20 miles off from where the port was. There was a restaurant. That was about it. Granted, it was an incredibly short cruise, it was more of a ferry actually, so there wouldn't be an incredible amount of amenities. Usually there are pools. I'm not sure about movies. Any of those places sound great. I'd prefer Hawaii though. No, I haven't. But I heard Norwegian Cruise Lines is an excellent cruise line. Very reputable. Pack some books, toys, anything to keep them busy if they were to get fussy.
  • I went on holland America and loved it. The crew was super friendly and the boat wasn't like the royal carribean overflowing with people. We went to a bunch of islands in the carribean over 2 weeks and they also have a private island in the bahams that we stopped at once a week. I was great there. I was really impressed with their service and recommend this cruise line for you.
  • the reason of this website is so people can get a large style of opions and help others If u have a concern with it then do not come on right here. If u do unlike there question then do not examine it bypass over it and pass on. via posting this u in simple terms choose interest and that's what u r getting r u chuffed now so end choosing on individuals. It exhibits immaturity and that's not cool yet in spite of.
  • Ok.So I'm 15,i know i am a little young to join but i need to start looking at opportunities for after High School. I have a 3.8 GPA and i am a varsity swimmer ,gymnast and i am a track/field runner. I'm also a dancer of 13 years.Today my dad had to fill out a paper for school and one of the questions was if the school had the right to give my name to the army . I told my dad yes and we got into a discussion about all the branches. I started thinking that the Marines would be a option or the Navy. I don't know that much about either but i want to find out more. I have looked at both websites and there really intriguing . Is there anywhere you can talk to someone who has been through the Marines or Navy? Or is there an additional source for finding information? Anyone have any comments on which would be a better idea, any help really is appreciated.Thank You :)
  • That's really a loaded question. I have 3 sons--one still at home, one in the Navy, and one in the Marines. Our oldest is a Navy Seal and has done 4 tours in Iraq. He was a good student in high school and a star athlete--in fact, he went to the University of Hawaii on a basketball scholarship--full ride. He's brave and has had plenty of travel opportunities---but the Navy doesn't seem to have made a positive impact on him. He really doesn't have any interests other than looking good and working out, shooting at things and blowing things up, and partying. He has no aspirations and can't even decide if he's going to go career or what he might do if he gets out. I don't see that the Navy has provided him with any substance--only negatives. He was not flighty and self-centered prior to enlisting. He has also had one failed relationship after another includeing 2 divorces. He never sees his son--my grandson. Ever. Our middle son, on the other hand, enlisted in the Marines out of the blue. We didn't see it coming--it was a total shock. Here's this 17 year old lanky non-athletic B-student whose primary skill in high school was Playstation and Wii--and all of a sudden, he's adamant about joining the Marines. He did his first tour in Iraq right out of boot camp. He's advanced to brown belt in karate in less than 2 years, he's won sharpshooting awards and was decorated in battle. He's just bought his first new car--a sharp Mustang--for cash. He saved every penny he made while on tour to do it. Now he's taking some online college courses and planning to attend a university when he gets out--and all through high school he told us he didn't want to go to college. When he got back from Iraq in May after a 16 month tour, I was seriously impressed. Everything about him said "Man"--not a little boy anymore. The Marines helped him do a lot of growing up in a short amount of time. I never expected the results I saw then. He's much more mature now than our oldest son. If my youngest were to ask me the same question, I would very likely tell him to enlist in the Marines. Hope this helps.
  • Marine Corps Is better than the Navy they don't waste there time standing guard on a ship all day . Unless you go to the Navy Seals .
  • ask about the navy sea bees they are construction and engineering or the navy seals dont know much bout marines except they have short hair go talk to a recruiter no time like the present wish i would have looked at more options before i went in ask about delayed entry program find out all you can before you sign that paper and raise that hand
  • The Navy is very tough on family life, The Air Force is most like a regular job. The Coast Guard is the most interesting. Good luck I hope you make the best decision for you:)
  • Nothing and nothing. Offense is in the eye of the beholder. If there's something sacred to me, and you profane it, I have the option to ignore you. If I say anything to you or about you or about your "profanity," I have chosen to engage you. That legitimizes the profanity. If I simply ignore you, the profanity doesn't exist, because it's never been acknowledged. It's not profane until someone takes offense. It's like a seed that can't take root without fertile soil. I can literally negate it by not acknowledging it, not giving it anywhere to take root. Likewise with anyone who chooses to take offense at something I say. Ultimately, taking offense is a manipulative psychological game.
  • Google USMC, Marines, United States Marines etc.there are several of them I just don't have them at hand. Also in Yahoo Groups there are some Marine Groups. Semper Fi
