Frequently asked questions about california personal loans

  • no California is one of nine states recognizing community property division. * Community property describes all assets (and debts) that were jointly acquired during marriage. Each spouse is seen as contributing equally, regardless of individual income, so community property is divided evenly. This means that each spouse receives one-half of these assets, which can include money, real estate, retirement plans, furniture, automobiles, and possessions. * Separate property is property that belongs to one spouse and is not subject to division in divorce. This includes property that a spouse brought to the marriage (a house, a business, pension funds) or assets or debts acquired in the name of one spouse during the marriage (an inheritance, personal injury award, or education loans).
  • no he is not. if it were that you lost an arm in an accident and they were awarding you with a new one...you would not split the arm upon divorce. so, there you have it...any settlement is compensation for 'your' injury only. it is not an asset. it is compensation.
  • You have to consult with the bar association or listing of lawyers of your state.
  • I have over 80k debt, make avg 60k a year, have a 401k of 75k (but they won't let me withdraw- and I've already taken the maxium loans anvailable. I've cosigned a loan and my name is on a property.. payments for all cc are around $1300 and I net $1800. I still need to pay rent. I can't afford to make my monthly payments, and want to file for bankruptcy. Should I? Can I? Which one would I qualified for? If i could withdraw my 401k, and payoff my debt I would. But IRS doesn't see paying cc off as hardship to do so. Also, could I transfer name of the property to someone else, so it wouldn't affect them if i do file for bankruptcy? I don't want to drag other people with my problems!
  • You should seek conseling. You definately should not file for bankruptcy though.
  • I haven't heard that one, but if they do they will be following in the footsteps of infamous conservative chickenhawk ted nugent. "As patriotic as Uncle Ted claims to be, he pulled a nasty stunt to evade Uncle Sam during the Vietnam War. In a July 15, 1990, Detroit Free Press interview, Nugent crowed about how he managed to dodge the draft. He claims that 30 days before his draft board physical, he disavowed personal hygiene. The last ten days he ingested nothing but junk food and Pepsi, and with a week to go until the physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether. When the big day came, he had been living in excrement-caked and urine-stained pants." Thumbs down for telling the truth...you are hilarious!
  • Whew.....that's a new one. It makes me wonder why someone would rack up 4 years worth of college expenses that THEY bargained to pay......taking Medieval Basket Weaving..... and then expect the taxpayer to foot the bill for their school loans! When I take out a car loan, the bank expects me to pay the amount back, according to the contract. It is no different with school loans. Why they expect preferential treatment is beyond me. If they want to soil their britches, go for it. But I still think they need to pay back the money they're obligated to pay.
  • I did not thumb you down USAF but I will say, "you can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant".
  • They alredy do. Mummy & daddy wouldn't potty train them. To hurtfull to their self-esteem.
  • no, they will disrobe, defecate in their hands, and throw their poop at each other while singing "mmm mmm mmm Barrack Hussein Obama...come play scat games with us"
  • That would be funny. Would also show what their education is worth.
  • www.zopa.com if you live in Great Britain or California www.prosper.com if you live in United States
  • Depends on what type of lien? Personal loan head down to the Court House and file for small claims. Mechanics lien than you can head down to the tax assessors office and submit the lien. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanics_l...My advise small claims easier and possibility you will get paid. I would give you urls but I dont what county you live in.
  • You have had very poor financial habits for a long period of time. You need to address that issue. Even if you go through bankruptcy, you'll be right back in trouble if you don't change your underlying habits. Suggest you talk to a non-profit credit counselor for some guidance. This shouldn't cost you over $50 and may give you some good insight how to proceed. Bankruptcy is a very severe remedy that will haunt you for the rest of your life, but it may be your only option.
  • You should take a look at the options you can find at: PROTECTIONQUOTING.NET- RE Bankruptcy in california? I did a voluntary car repossession,a eviction from over ten years ago and I have about ten major credit cards and some personal loans, they all are maxed out, What do I do?
  • apply for welfare
  • im thinking about moving to california, i have a family and want to move to a safe place in a good area near las angeles, can you give me the name of some good towns near las angeles?? and the average rent for a 3 bedroom apartment or house, and if you can, throw in a few links to websites that will further inform me on the area and rent prices....thank you for your help
  • Manuel posts the exact same response to all questions... and offers a website that he propses "gives people up to $1500" which is not true... the site tries to qualify you for a $1500 loan at 24% interest with the agreement that they can sell your personal information to other companies for spamming purposes.
  • Average rents for a 3 bed room apartment near Los Angeles is $1400. This is a very expensive area.
  • Go to craigslist.com for that area and search apartments and houses. You'll be able to get rent ideas from that. Once you've got a few locations you are interested in, then go in to Communities on there and ask who knows what about those areas. Good luck!! CA is very expensive!!
  • I live in the San Diego area. There is no safe area in Los Angeles County. If you move out to the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino Counties) you can find better priced apartments/houses and better neighborhoods. 3bedrooms apt no A/C, W/D etc go for around $1200 for 3bed with A/C, laundry room, garage etc go for around $1600 -$1900. • Go to lendingtree.com They may have people in your area.
  • Better be specific with your location. There are lots of agents around the globe..
  • That is a symptom of the real reason California is broke which is liberal "leadership".
  • That is one of the reasons that California is going broke. Another is that they are so anti-business that most manufacturing that deals with any type of emissions has left the State. Now they have the toughest standards for trucks and trailers driving through their State that some carriers have decided it is cheaper to stop doing business there.
  • Two reasons California is broke - public unions and Mexicans. ALL of the "immigrants" that cross the border go on some form of welfare. ALL. OF. THEM. Show me all the left-wing New York Times Mexican-loving statistics you want, I lived there for years and the food stamp line looks like Cinco De Mayo on steroids. An absolute laughing stock.
  • They are broke because they are a sanctuary state along with poor financial planning.

  • I live in California and would like to know if I need any special Licensing to lend my own personal money to others for a profit. What is the Maximum interest I can charge without breaking any usury laws. What can I use ase collateral for these loans? ie: Autos, RVs, Boats, or land. Is there anywhere that I can find more information on the subject? Thank you
  • why not just do it through bonds? that's all a bond is - a loan.
  • Back in 05 I was arrested and convicted of a "wet reckless". I've been thinking of going to school to become a corrections officer and I'm not sure if my conviction would prevent me from being hired. It would not be worth getting a student loan to take my classes knowing that my possibilities to work as a corrections officer are slim to none. Any advice or suggestions?
  • Not sure about this particular Charge, but I know for a fact that a DUI will disqualify you because while I was taking a class at LACC one of their recruiters came by to lecture the class and the very last words out of his mouth were " if you have a DUI theres no need to apply" The Background investigation requires approximately three months time upon the start of the investigation. A peace officer will evaluate your academic, driving, personal and work history to determine whether or not you are eligible to continue in the peace officer selection process. This helps ensure that individuals who have a criminal past, are unreliable or unsuited for a peace office position are not selected to be a correctional officer. If I were I would contact THEM to answer this question before I went to all of the time, trouble and expense to prepare for the job. • Everything is based on your background. Here are some infos during the tough background investigation that may disqualify you. No Felonies, Credit History, Citations, Drugs, References ect ect. Also, to become a corrections officer, you don't need to schooling for that. As long as you meet the minimum requirements (age & good background then you will be ok).
  • maximum correction officers are required to take a Civil provider examination and additionally attend orientation instructions. i latterly worked with a gentleman who worked for a secure practices business enterprise, took the examination and replaced into employed instantaneous without taking the examination, in spite of if this categorized him as a provisional worker. as quickly as the examination is given back, he could take the examination and pass it or his activity would be in jeopardy.
  • never heard of that type of conviction. Most law enforcement only considered felonies as a "no hire".
  • it stinks and you have to pay it. long time ago got a ticket in NYC and unfair. but they hit your credit report and personal fiel and till it is paid off they can prevent you from getting a loan and job. so this stinks but pay it off as soon as possible to avoid hardships in life. why did the cop not negotiate it down. some will give you a tic and say ..... only this amt. not the major offense. sorry again.
  • When I lived in AZ, I got a ticket in Blythe CA, and the officer told me I would be able to do online traffic school, and to complete it well in advance of the due date of the ticket. So I paid the ticket, paid to take traffic school did it online and the company sends the results to the court. You will get info in the mail. You can, call the clerk of the court for traffic for the county you were in, and she can advise you. Dont delay on it though, it takes time for them to submit the paperwork to the courts. I forget, it was like 175.00 for the ticket maybe and like 55.00 for the class, sounds like alot, but if you add up the added insurance upon renewal they will hit you with, the traffic school is well worth having the ticket removed from your driving record!!!! My last one was in VA and they dont let travelers do traffic school, they demand you fly back in, and go before the judge to ask, I didnt, I lost out, my ins increaed 15.00 a month for the next 3 years or so, and I cant apply for any driving jobs what so ever :(
  • probably about $300 it should say it on the ticket though It also depends on what agency ticketed you You probably got the ticket from the California highway Patrol If you are from out of state you probably will not be able to go to traffic school and will have to just pay the fine
  • it usually says on the ticket...read it. they will send a notice to your home...
  • should have paid the cop
  • Hi, i'm transferring to University of Alaska Fairbanks from Southern California. I want to combine community organizing and science together. I would like to work with peace corps, and help establish co-ops for sustainable fisheries. I speak spanish. The only thing I am afraid of is the price tag, and is it worth it? Close to a 100,000 in loans. Of course , i'm hoping to get scholarships, and my personal money to pay off some of it, but not the sum of it. I just wouldn't know where to look for jobs? Since I recently changed my major from a BS to a BA , I know plenty of people with BAs working in small unrelated jobs.
  • You're not thinking this through. You make it sound like you want to choose a $100k major to serve in Peace Corps. Don't do that. What do you want to do AFTER Peace Corps? Remember, it's only 27 months of your life. And there is absolutely no guarantee that you will make it through service. And remember that no matter what your intentions are in Peace Corps, there is ZERO guarantee that you will do squat. A colleague of mine who majored in something like forestry (also in Alaska), worked for a solid year and a half on a project. His entire service, actually, right after getting established in his community. In the end, it never got off the ground because the community didn't want to put in the effort. and if the community doesn't want it, it won't work. So re-think your plan long-term and see if it still works for you.
  • Since it is not on a foundation it is not considered real estate, but personal property. Goggle "used mobile home financing" and that should give you several sources that finance mobile homes. Generally is is very difficult to get a loan on a mobile home over 20 years oldand lenders require that multi-section manufactured homes be 1977 or newer in construction to qualify for refinancing, except those in California because of federal safety standards.
  • All you are able to do is continue to buy around at various lenders except you in finding one who will refinance. Understand, however, that current refinances on mobiles aren't at lower interest premiums. Lenders are being incredibly cautious with financing such buildings, as they have an inclination to cut back in worth instead than expand or remain stable. Anticipate a moderately low LTV ratio to be supplied, along with a frightening curiosity cost.
  • depending where u at contact all local lenders.
  • Property tax for "any" real estate you own for personal use (even bare land) is deductible on federal Schedule A if you itemize. It is only the property tax you are liable for and when it is actually paid (not when you pay it into escrow) If you do not itemize, you can still add up to $500 of property tax to your standard exemption (see 1040 instructions). Mortgage interest is deductible from federal income for your primary and secondary home if you itemize on Schedule A. There may be limits to interest deductions depending upon the size of the loan, what it is used for, and whether you are subject to AMT. See http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc505.html
  • Under normal conditions interest, county property taxes as well as the points and fees you paid toward getting your mortgage loan is deductible on your federal income tax. There are lines on your schedule "A" where you will find where to deduct these items. For tax and legal matters you should always contact your attorney and tax consultants. I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck. "FIGHT ON"
  • I live in California and I deduct both property taxes and mortgage interest, but my filing status is single and my income is below $100k. Your tax person should be able to help you with the answer to your question.
  • I believe property taxes can always be deducted. The mortgage interest can only be deducted if you itemize deductions on a Schedule A.
  • Most likely. We deduct our mortgage interest because we itemize our deductions. As far as I know, we can only deduct the property taxes we pay on our state tax return (CT) not our federal return.
  • I assume you mean itemized deductions? Yes, for federal income tax purposes both property taxes and mortgage interest are detectable, subject to certain qualifications.
  • Mortgage interest is deducted on federal return. Property taxes are deducted on state return, where allowed.
  • In NY State you can, My attorney advised me to and I do every year.
  • Taxes are taxes they are NEVER deductable!
  • Thanks! GOAL: Surround myself with smart women MOTIVATION: Intrinsic; personal growth, relationships, & community feeling. Not extrinsic, based on money, image, or popularity. ROAD MAP, > Community College \ 4 GPA \ Associate's degree > Transfer to UC Berkely or UCLA \ 4 GPA \ Bachelor's degree > Stanford \ Master's NOW > Unspectacular high school record > No money > Upper-middle class white male raised by two parents with college education. "Genius" (140+ IQ) and exceptionally socially and emotionally intelligent. Determined to get 4.0 as undergrad to earn admission to prestigious schools. > Many viable skills such as computer technician, web design, web programming, usability, etc. QUESTION I'd like to move out of the Midwest for community college. Will my financial aid be enough to cover community college tuition, room & board, and a plane ticket to Hawaii or California? Assuming it won't pay for all those things, roughly how much money should I save to make this transition?
  • No, and you need to understand that financial aid for you will be loans only ($5500 your freshman year) and while that might be sufficient to pay for tuition and books at a community college as an out of state student, it certainly will not cover living expenses. Financial aid does not pay for plane tickets. You'd have to pay for that out of pocket. Out of state tuition is very expensive and financial aid never covers the full cost. You will not qualify for in state tuition until you are classified as independent (over 24 years old, married, or have children you support) and live in the new state for at least a year without attending school. Determination is good and having goals is great, but make sure you are being realistic when it comes to expenses. Living on your own is very expensive and I don't think you realize how much more expensive it is in California, let alone Hawaii.
  • you need to go to a community college in your home state because out of state rates at a community college are going to cost you more than if you went to uni in your home state you can even find community colleges in-state that have dorms (you can live away from home) if you want to surround yourself with smart women... you can do that at your in-state schools just as well as you can in a different state
  • Whatever she had and sold before hand has nothing to do with the marriage. The house that you bought while married belongs to both parties. She might think it is hers...but the Judge will more than likely order the property sold and proceeds split..unless there are kids involved or other special circumstances. If she wants to keep it...the Judge can also have her buy you out. In California all property acquired during a marriage is considered to be marital or community property and all property owned before the marriage is considered to be non-marital property. All property, real or personal, in or out of the state, that either you or your spouse acquired through labor or skill during the marriage is community property. This may include pension and profit-sharing benefits, stock options, and other retirement benefits. Each spouse owns one-half of all community property. Debts are also considered community or marital property and may include credit card bills, even if the card is in one person’s name only. Student loans are an exception and are considered separate property debts. If you and your spouse cannot agree on the division of property and debts a judge will review your circumstances and issue an order making the decision for you.
  • Check with local housing laws> But if she owned it prier the marriage & you can show no fininical paymants or up keep> Good luck> They all claim everything is there's> Get a good attorney>
  • That's a community property state - you need to check with an attorney. Also, is the house in both your names?
  • California is a community-property state - things are half and half between divorcing couples. Your soon-to-be-ex is full of it. You need to get an attorney ASAP!
  • and I have been trying to convince her to take care of the tax for 4 years now. I'm giving up on trying to persuade her. 5 years ago she put me and my brother's name on our primary house. The sale of the house was about $600k in the state of California. Im trying to gather the facts of the possible outcomes when the IRS comes and collect. I know they will go after her savings which is about $250k. I don't know how much the tax of the sale was and how much interest for late fees the amount had incurred. Can an expert on this matter shed some light on this??? Thank you yahoo community members.
  • the home was only used as a rental property. We never lived in the house. It was a triplex I believe. Where all her money went? I know a good portion went to a friend she lent to which isnt returning her messages anymore. That money is pretty much gone. Ill list them out. $15k to a new car $50k to a friend (personal loan) The rest for her own personal expenses. All her money is in a money market fund that she can withdraw anytime. I hope I provided enough details here. Now what can I do to protect her money and assets. I figure after her divorce with my father she became really careless and irresponsible. Can I somehow protect her money? Protect her house? Anyone know a good lawyer that can offer free advice?
  • You need to hire a tax professional on this matter. There are a million details that you are leaving out.
  • you don't provide enough information to respond if this property sale was reported as most with a 1098, IRS would have been contacting her long before this was this her home? she would have been eligible for some exclusion, albeit not the same one currently available and she only has $250 K in savings on a sale 7 yrs ago of $600K, where did that money go? too many questions
  • I'm no expert, but I'd hide her assets (the saving account) in something tangeable or else gift it to someone asap to avoid tax levies.

  • i have to find all of this out and i cant find ANY of it!! (yea its a lot) what type of college is it? what is the total population of undergrads? are first year students required to live on campus? how many applications are admitted how many accepted? what test are required to admit? what test scores/GPA/courses must you have? % of in state students / % of out of state students % american indian/ alaskan natives % of asian specific islanders % of black/non hispanic % of white % of other unreported % of students recieving scholarships/ grants % of students recieving loans/ have jobs thank you!!!

  • If you can't find all this info on the web- most of it on the ucla site- you're not ready for college.
  • Okay, so. I've said it millions of times, I'm going to be staying at a state school dorm in California, and will be going to a local community college nearby the university, and yes. The university does accept CC students. I live with my foster parents, and I have my personal reasons why I'm moving out (sorry but I don't feel like explaining about it, it's pretty sad.) and I am going to be recieving FAFSA, but FAFSA can only recover one school.. and that'd be the local community college and tuition, and my concern is, the dorm I will be living at, is apporximately about 12k a year.. for 2 semester, Fall & Spring. and as a community college student, I'm not able to make payments.. I don't know if FAFSA can cover it, but I need ways to pay for it, like. I'm thinking about private student loans from banks and such, but is it really such a great idea? I really need help, please people, tell me what's the right thing to do, and find ways to pay for it.. It's really expensive but I think I deserve it. /:
  • I'd say screw the dorm. does that 12k (more like 9 months rather than a year) include a meal plan and anything else? look for someone willing to rent out a room in their house or find roommates you can trust and rent a place together. i don't know how much your financial aid package will be,
  • As of 2008, Directed Electronics was North America's largest aftermarket automotive electronics manufacturer. Issa divested all personal interest in Directed Electronics after the company was brought public at $16/share in late 2006 and it is now trading at $0.67/share. Congressman Issa has a piquant history. In the early 1980s, his car-alarm company, which did work for a much larger firm, Joey Adkins’s A.C. Custom Electronics, lent Adkins $60,000, then called in the loan. Issa went to court, and wrested possession of Adkins’s firm. Three weeks after Issa quadrupled the insurance on parts and equipment in the building, the electronics facility burned to the ground. In 1973, Issa pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm, which he tended to brandish at his employees, purportedly in jest. He was arrested twice for grand theft auto.
  • Obviously most Californians, let alone Americans, don't even know who Darrell Issa is. This slimeball is responsible for the recall of California Governor Grey Davis and the election of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Darrell Issa is also a defender of George W Bush's criminal destruction of White House emails. Lastly, if you look at his business history, it appears he has made all his money through criminal means. In other words, this man belongs in jail and not in Congress of the United States.
  • William Jefferson isn't in jail and he took $100k in cash from undercover FBI on video. Democrats even re-elected him after the fact. He's facing multiple life sentences if convicted.
  • definite its genuine. Issa is conscious a great deal approximately corruption. jogs my memory of Newton Leroy Gingrich maximum acceptable the GOP against President Clinton, together as Gingrich grew to become into cheating on his spouse. Such hypocrisy. Conservatives communicate with regard to the "criminal element" and % one! in all fairness to Issa, I do have faith that folk can and do turn their lives around. yet are you able to work out the hypocrisy right here?
  • The writ was filed by the victim so that they can get their property returned. Writ Of Possession (Claim And Delivery) - General Concepts The writ of possession (claim and delivery) procedure is often used: * to obtain possession of tangible property that is security for a debt in default (e.g., a debt secured by a chattel mortgage); * to reclaim chattels that have been loaned, leased or bailed to another and not returned; * to obtain property whose ownership is in dispute. To obtain a writ for immediate possession of property, the plaintiff must show that he or she: * has the right to immediate possession of tangible personal property; and * the property is being wrongfully withheld by defendant. [Ca Civ Pro § 512.010] The property sought to be recovered must exist in some concrete or "tangible" form, capable of identification and seizure. A writ of possession cannot be used to levy on intangibles--e.g., bank accounts, accounts receivable, etc. If a certificate has been issued representing shares of stock, the stock certificate is subject to seizure under a writ of possession. [See Ca Coml § 8112(a)]
  • My two friends, who are a married couple are being taken for a ride through their Ebay account and PayPal, as unscrupulous people are paying them twice for the same item and then demanding they refund the money to a specific PayPal account. Though I myself sell on Ebay I don't know that such a thing can actually be done without "manipulating" something within Ebay, such as lying and making believe it's another product, or something. I don't know. All I know is that these poor folks are having their time wasted by these type of supposed buyer. One particular person paid through one personal account and through a business account, demanding that they refund her money through the business one. Apparently it was convenient for her so bank or anyone giving her a loan would think she was making much more money than she really was. Or who knows what else she was doing that for. PLEASE, can anyone tell me where to direct my friends so they can report this, in view that Ebay is not as responsible as they used to?!!!! If my friends (or anyone else) doesn't refund the money they not only get horrible recommendations, but the money is removed by Ebay from their PP account or directly from the bank. It has already happened in their case and another of my friends' when fraudulent buyers have said the items never arrived.
  • Call your State's attorney general's office, the attorney general's office in California (where those companies and the servers that run their websites are located), and the DOJ. One of them might be interested in the case.
  • First of all, this is for a friend, not me... Sorry if it's too long, and thank you very much if you read it all... Second, my question is what do I do if I don't know what career to choose? I've thought about it for a while already, but I just don't know what I want to do or be. I'm a 21 year old hispanic dude, and so far I haven't worked in anything "normal", so my résumé would look/looks very funny. In the United States, I've only worked as a housekeeper(Yes, even though I'm a guy), as a nanny/caretaker(mostly for my family), as a security guard[w/o a California Guard Card(I don't know where to get one)], as a driver/navigator, as a tutor in MATH(Basic, Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry), ENGLISH, SCIENCE(Biology, Earth Science), ASTROPHYSICS(Yes, I love to study and teach others about Time, Space, Space-Time, Light-Speed, Black Holes, Neutron Stars, Gravity, Quantum Mechanics, GRBs), FORENSICS(GSR, Ballistics, BST), PHYSICS(KE, Viscosity, Momentum, Density, etc.), FOREIGN LANGUAGES(english -> spanish, english -> japanese, farsi-> english), and as a lawn mower/gardener. And in Mexico, I've worked as a grocery bagger, as a bus driver, as a personal driver/navigator/taxi driver, and as a tutor in MATH(basic), ENGLISH, and in FOREIGN LANGUAGES(spanish -> english). Yes, I have graduated from High School, with a GPA of 3.85[near honors(#17)], and yes I am a US born, US Citizen, but the only thing that is backing/pushing me back A LOT is that I have Epilepsy. Because of it I'm unable to look for a decent job. Yet, the only skills I have are in mathematics, memorizing anything(I have a alphanumeric and photographic memory), Tai-Chi, learning/knowing foreign languages[7+(including memorizing other alphabets)], driving[+2,500hrs.(DMV doesn't know I have Epilepsy)], Hung-Gar, navigation(I can memorize an entire city within weeks, if not days). The only career fields that I like, or would love to work in, are in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement, Translations/Multi-Lingual, Forensics-Ballistics, Physics/Astrophysics/Cosmetology, Cars/Driving/Mechanics, hand to hand combat, and tutoring/teaching. But since I'm Epileptic and I don't have a job right now, I have no way of going to a college/university. And since I also owe $7,000 from my past student loans, and being forced to leave the University due to a family emergency in Mexico, I fear of going to college again. I also fear being kicked out of any college/university due to having Epilepsy, and since it nearly happened at my first university. And if I do go to a college/university I wouldn't know what to study in/for.
  • Nobody is going to plough through all this nonsense. Epileptics have exactly the same career choices as non-epileptics, with a few obvious exceptions where health and safety is consideration (especially if there is recent fitting or poorly controlled fits). They need the same skills, including the ability to write clearly!
  • I am trying to determine what parties really stand for so I can register with one. I believe in family, I believe in personal responsibility, working hard and trying to get ahead. I dont believe the Goverment should tell me what to do (apart from obey they law etc) with my money. I want to pay as little tax as possible. In terms of social responsibility I want to make my own choice what charities or groups to support. I beleive in benefits to people who have fallen on hard times, but I in no ay believe that people should be supported if they can work and choose not to. I dont believe in free college education for anyone as there are loans available. Republican or Democrat and most importantly WHY!
  • And I dont believe in overtaxing the rich. Rich is relative anyway, some people think 100k a year is rich. But in california you cant buy a home with that. Others think a million a year is rich. But if your mortgage is 600k a year then its not. So equal tax for everyone. If we tax the rich we destroy the economy.
  • So, you don't feel like the government should deny gays the right to marry, you know, stay out of your life as much as possible? Do you feel like you should pay percentage wise more or less than someone making $250,000.00 per year? Do you understand that social programs like public schools, fire protection, police protection, public roads, require taxes to pay for them? Including state universities. Do you understand that some people appear to be healthy and able to work, but have mental issues that keep them from holding jobs? Only you can decide which way to vote and why.
  • First it depends on your tax bracket. If you make over 100K your taxes will go up under the Dems, no doubt. They might go up anyway since the Bush tax cuts expire and Obama can veto any new tax cuts Republicans try to pass. If you make under 100K your taxes will stay the same for the next few years, at least until the recession ends and maybe longer. But Dems are more likely to raise your taxes. For benefits, Republicans don't want to extend unemployment insurance but Democrats do. It's a tough economy, so I believe most people would like to get jobs and that there just aren't any in many areas - so I think you should keep paying unemployment benefits. But some Republicans think that we have 10% unemployment now because suddenly a bunch of people decided to be lazy and take a great vacation from work. Democrats are more likely to fund subsidized (interest free) loans to allow more people to go to college. It sounds like you're more of a Republican in general, but I would also invite you to think about the long-term government budget too - Republicans are so anti-tax that they will eventually be forced to make big cuts to social security and medicare, because they will never raise taxes on the wealthy or anyone if they can avoid it. If you'd like to see these programs around in another 10-20 years, you should seriously consider voting for a Democrat.
  • it seems that your beliefs lean toward the republican party however what party you register with is your choice. in okla. if you register repub. there is rarely a choice of more than one person. i consider myself an ind. so if i registered that way i wouldn't have a say other than in the general election. i want to have a say in seeing the best candidates running on both sides.
  • None of the above. Both will let you down. Go for an independent who shares the majority of your viewpoints. They'll do better than the bs Congress is putting up at the moment.
  • NEITHER because they both preach views but hardly follow up on them! Vote for the Libertarian Party.
  • Don't vote!! It's a trap!!
  • Republican, please help save our country from socialism.
  • I'm wondering some folks can be able to qualify for 10 to 20 units apartment complex that's listed for $1.5 M to $2 M. If I would like to try, how much down payment should I pay in order to get the bank approve? I would consider a big personal achievement if I can successfully buy a 8 units complex. Plz give me some advice or the trick to do it if you own some big complex.
  • Hey, where are you from that a 20 unit is listed for 1.5M to 2M? Must be the south or California. In Pennsylvania, we bought an 18 unit for $500,000 in a GREAT area, and we are getting between $500.00 to $650.00 in rental income each unit. Now I know why we get so many people from the south, mainly Florida, and from California buying our income properties and hiring someone to manage them. Could you actually make a decent profit buying for that high, after the mortgage, insurance, property taxes, expected maintenance and possibly utility payments? We own over 50 units, and the price of income properties here are so affordable, that you end up making decent profits.
  • You need 25% cash for the down payment and significant net worth (other assets) in order to even think about this. However, I would be very skeptical with an complex that large selling for 2 million, the price is too low, I would suspect that something is seriously wrong.
  • yea forget it sounds not right buy something you can afford good luck
  • My car has been repossessed. I first received a phone call saying from "Pete Mitchell" saying that he is the bank's attorney (bank that I have a loan from for my financed vehicle). He claims that he wants to re-contract the vehicle, so he can help us refinance the last $6000, but he'll have to take "temporary custody" of the vehicle and he needs to submit the paperwork by 12pm. He said he'll send his guy to check out the vehicle (write some stats) and there will be no moving of the vehicle unless the area of inspection is unsafe. He made it very clear (he even said he "wants to make it very clear") that he will not repossess the vehicle. The vehicle will not go anywhere. If there is any movement of the vehicle, it'll be no more than 5-10 minutes. I agreed. "The guy" shows up around 11am. I gave him the keys and his privacy on my street to do his "inspection". I was suspicious so I was watching the guy from my window. I turn around for a second, the vehicle disappears. After 10 minutes, I tried calling the attorney, the line has been disconnected. I gave it some time before I called 911. When I called 911, the operator told me that my car has been repossessed (gave me the number to the lot). When I called the lot, they said I have to make a same day appointment to pick up my private property & that they're already full for the day. It is $35 for the first day, then $10 for every additional day. Every time I tried to call in, they say that they're full, or that because of the holidays they are closed. Can they do that?
  • I don't want the car. The vehicle is under my mother's name. She authorize me as a third party to speak to "them". But the property in the vehicle is mine. I need it back, since they actually have all my keys, some IDs, vehicle paperwork, stuff I was going to donate, keys to my father's car, etc. I just don't feel its justified that they practically stole my private property, then tells me I have to pay the storage fees to get my property back.
  • If they do not have any paperwork for your private property - they are not entitled to retain it. Go to the pound and demand the return of your personal property - if they refuse, report them for theft.
  • Unfortunately, the very shady business of the repossession industry lacks good oversight and leads to the kinds of experience as you recently had. They will say whatever they want to you to get you to let them take the car. These people are scum and their only excuse when confronted is that they are simply "doing their job." The industry works within a gray area which is not clearly defined by any form of law. For the most part, they know that you don't have the resources to take them to court so they attempt to squeeze you dry. They make money on the misery of others. I've always been on the fence about God, but at times like this I truly wish that God exists to punish these leeches when the time comes. Money rules for these people as well as many, many others. It's their number one priority and they will make any excuse they can to acquire and justify it. I'm sorry you had to have this experience. I can understand that you've obviously gone through hard times. These leeches don't care. Keep on truckin and you will prevail! Best wishes from Arizona.
  • if you are behind on your payments they can do what they need to do to repossess the car. They must have contacted the police to let them know their intentions. Did you try calling the place that had your loan to verify. You should try dealing with the loan co. so the storage place will release the car to you. Do not delay or those fees will continue. Have you ever watch any of those repo shows and what they do.
  • ask urself...what is the minimum amount u would need to pay in order to get what u want.. these people are all very dodgy. there is a saying ' possession is 9/10 of the law. ' ie no matter what ur rights are, if they have possession then there is very little u can do. this could take u months to sort out and cost u a fortune.
  • Hate to break it to you Dan, yet you're incorrect... it truly is a snippet from a criminal professional internet internet site. Pay particular interest to the final sentence. you need to be charged. a individual who intentionally and intentionally exposes a ingredient or parts of his/her inner maximum physique areas, i.e. their genitalia, in an environment the place such an exposure is possibly to be considered a contravention of the time-commemorated standards of decency may be charged with indecent exposure. staring on the state interior america the place the offense is charged, the charge may be charged as a misdemeanor or a criminal. in many states, an act of indecent exposure to a minor is charged as a criminal. oftentimes, to be charged with indecent exposure, the regulation demands the indecent exposure to take place in a public place. even although, a individual could be on inner maximum ingredients collectively with their deck or porch and in the event that they disclose a ingredient or parts of their physique it truly is considered indecent, they might nevertheless be charged with indecent exposure. sturdy success.
  • Can I expect to see this on Operation Repo?
  • I happen to know quite a bit about Giant Pandas, and it is NOT possible for you to raise a panda cub - PERIOD. And you have NEVER seen anyone do that - pandas are native to China, only - and the pandas that are currently here in the United States are not even owned by the U.S. - they are "on loan" from China for a certain number of years - it is very costly for a Zoo to have pandas, and, unfortunately, even when a cub is born in the U.S., it is still "owned" by China. Giant pandas are one of the most endangered species in the world, and are the symbol for the WWF - the ONLY way that you can even have a panda cub "sit on your lap" for a few minutes is to go to China, and then pay, in Chengdu, extra to have this privilege. The only other people who can even pick up a panda cub are their doctors, keepers, etc. Pandas are one of the most captivating and adorable animals in the world, in my opinion and that of many others - they also require a great deal of care and money. They are difficult to breed, and each cub that is born and survives is a little miracle in itself. There are few of us who love pandas who wouldn't love the chance to get up close and personal with a panda cub, or adult, but unless you can make a signifigant monetary contribution to a zoo, or decide to pursue a career working for a zoo, or go to China, you won't be getting too close to a Giant Panda. There are however, 4 zoos in the United States that house pandas - where you can go and see them - they are located in San Diego, California, Memphis, Tenneesee, Atlanta, Georgia, and Washington, D.C.
  • they don't take the animal as a pet. they take them to rehabilitate if the animals have problems. or if the animal doesn't have a mother, they take them to their home to feed them and socialize them with other animals.. there's lots of work involved with all of this. it sounds fun, yeah, but in reality, most people are up at all hours of the night taking care of the animal, especially if the animal is a baby. if your really interested in doing this, try watching some documentaries on this subject, like on animal planet and talk to someone at a local zoo. hope i helped.
  • contact your local zoo or the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for more information on that.
  • You may ask anyone you would want. The democrats pushed through Obamacare without the Republicans input. He had this spectacle on TV where he was to have questions and answers. It appeared as if he was the only one that had and knew all the answers. Each time a Republican would challenge a portion of the proposed Obamacare bill the president would tell him he was wrong. When you are the only one right there is no compromise. He and his cronies Pelosi of California and Reid of Nevada ramrodded the Obamacare bill through. I will never forget Pelosi and her stupid remarks about "In order for you to know what is in the bill you must pass it" One it is passed there is very little you are able to do about it. That is paramount to a car dealer telling a potential buyer you have to purchase the car before you are able to drive it.We all know how that would work out. Any problems found would be your problem. The same thing with Obama care, there are lots of things being found that were shouted down about cost and the cost to consumers. Medical is being robbed for 50 million dollars.Consumers have to pay a higher cost for medicines. Now he is wondering why Republicans are reluctant to assist him in his agenda. When he had a democratic congress majority there was no reaching across the isle. Domestic and foreign affairs are different with different funds allocated by congress. I think Bill Cosby had the right idea about American foreign policy and funds allocated to other countries. We wouldn't. What we don't know is how would the congress spend this excess. the democrats are good at spending and raising taxes. Health care is an item a family would have to budget for. The government should not be involved in what should be a personal responsibility of the family. Why not just give everyone a car and home paid for by the government? Then mortgage crisis is a government flubber buster. Senator Franks of the housing committee instructed Fannie Mae to make more Americans have the American dream, that is own a home. The qualifications were relaxed. Some buyers qualified with no income documentation, some with an adjustable mortgage that when adjusted they would not be able to pay the monthly mortgage payments. This was on the congress and consumer side. The lenders and banks decided to package these mortgage loans into instruments that could be sold on the stock exchanges, both domestic and foreign. They failed, this was on the mortgage lenders side. I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck. "FIGHT ON"
  • You are asking the wrong questions. Why not ask the Congress which won't pass anything, won't approve any more spending on anything without more cuts? Why not ask the Republicans who are trying to undo Obamacare, which is the only hope for many for insurance Why not ask Bush and Cheney who got us into two wars which have cost billions of dollars and tens of thousands of lives and enriched Cheney's Halliburton who got all the no-bid contracts and ripped off American taxpayers?
