You will probably have to cover closing costs and such so the house can be truly free to the entrant (after he or she pays the entry fee). Many people are doing this instead of trying to sell their houses outright. I remember looking at a nice house in Arizona that was being raffled off this way. If a raffle is illegal in your area, you can hold a contest instead. There's a house in Hawaii that is being "sold" in this way right now.
