Frequently asked questions about arizona small loan company

  • I don't think it is worth it. I don't mean to sound negative but every person I know that went to UTI ends up unhappy as soon as they enter the real world. I use to work at a certain tire chain, where they also do oil changes, alignment, etc. (the company has the word stone in it). Two guys who worked with me studied at UTI. Both of them were in HUGE debt. Apparently they got financial aid, and also had to take out student loans. One of them was fairly young, 22 years old. He was extremely unhappy. A large portion of his check went to his student loan, the rest to his living cost. To make things worse he got paid on the flag system, so he only got paid if he actually worked on a car. The other guy, a 34 year old, decided to be a rebel and not pay back his student loans. He got his car repo'd, and they garnished his checks every two weeks. He was super unhappy. Single living with his parents... I think the one who hit me the worst was my cousin. Also young, went to UTI in Phoenix. Never made a decent wage. He told me and my uncle stories of how the older mechanics lied about things wrong with the cars so that they could make more money, and how they short cutted all the jobs to fit more flag hours. He worked at a dealership, Audi or Volkswagen. I am unsure. However his money issues were pretty bad that he had trouble making a decent living. His fiance left him, and he tried to commit suicide. He is doing better now. Thankfully. He's my cousin you know I love him. He decided to go to community college to study computer science, and he transferred to UC Santa Cruz, and he makes a nice juicy 95k a year. Of course he pays alot in taxes so im sure it's less than that in reality. Also at the time I spent working at this tire chain, the managers, district managers, and some customers, treat the mechanics like sh t. I mean sh t. It is pretty much tantamount to psychological abuse. I am happy it was just a small part time job I took while trying to get through college. Is it worth your time? If you really want to do it. I'm not trying to shoot down your dreams, I am very confident there are some nice places to work as a mechanic in to make a decent wage. I am just telling you my experiences. Good luck, and have fun. EDIT: Like I said I am not trying to be negative, I was just stating the truth. I am not going to hide the truth.
  • it is a great school but check for others here also that do the same thing good luck Live in Arizona. yes it is but you could also check out Glendale community collage and see what they offer i know the were doing certification programs threw there not long ago and you could work with a shop on the side for grad points
  • Most auto maintenance schools will give you a good education and I don't think that I'd spend the money to move just to go to any one in particular. The U.S. military has great mechanical schools as well and they pay you to learn and you get other benefits as well. The bulk of your knowledge will come from hands on experience and the schools will give you a good groundwork for learning.
  • Your better off doing it at a community college. UTI is a rip off. The guy with the long response has it right on.
  • It would be hard to say they actually did away with any freedoms but the 111th Congress certainly encroached on our freedoms in ways that had never been done before. 1. They passed Obama care which basically says you are no longer free to choose how you insure your health or if you choose not to insure your health, and if implemented it will end in you no longer being in control of many other health care decisions. The Death Panels? well they said at first it was not in the bill then they struck the Death Panel provision from from the bill, and now I hear that some one is trying to change a rule associated with Obama Care to reinstate the Death Panels. 2. They passed a new food safety act that basically will prevent Farmers and small growers from selling ready to eat food at farmers markets, and put onerous new regulations on them requiring loads of paperwork. this will kill lots of small farms and the jobs that go with them and reduce the availability of fresh produce. 3. They approved a seriously flawed Arms treaty with Russia that will put us at a disadvantage should we ever have a war with them. This could threaten all our freedoms should Russia go to war with us, although right now we would most certainly win if they did. 4. But the Congress was working on the superiority of our Military as well. They eliminated the status quo, don't ask don't tell policy which will allow gay people in the military to advertise that they are gay. Whether you agree with the move or not it will certainly make traditional family oriented people think twice about encouraging their children to sign up for Military service which IMHO will result eventually in weakening our military. 5. But probably the worst thing this Congress did was to spend money like it was going out of style and Ben Bernanke the Fed chairman is assuring that our money is going out of style by increasing the volume of US $ in circulation more than doubling it. this certainly effects the average person a great deal causing inflation to eat away at their savings and earning power. here are a few other encroachments on our constitutional liberty the Obama administration and Nancy Pelosi led Congress did. 6. They seized control of General Motors and Chrysler auto manufacturers, arbitrarily casting aside the rightful expectations of their bondholders and other creditors. 7. They have imposed absurd and invasive demands on air travelers. 8. They are considering a United Nations treaty that would render the Second Amendment null and void. 9. They have refused to enforce our southern border against drug smugglers and have sued Arizona for enacting an immigration law that mirrors the Federal law. 10. They have enacted new rules through the FCC to assert control over the Internet, which is an assault on our first amendment rights. 11. They used the financial crisis as an excuse to bail out banks, insurance companies and other fat cats giving them literally Billions of dollars at a time that the Stock market had crashed to aprox. 1/3 of its peak value. These fat cats now claim it was a good investment because most of the money has been paid back. Well duuuhhh. You would have to by financially illiterate not to double your money in that situation. But did any one on main street get that opportunity? NO WAY JOSE !!!! The average Joe has yet to see any stimulus money even in the form of a loan. The banks are holding on to it like robber barrons. I have to admit, being a basically honest person, that 6 - 10 I did not think up myself, they came from a Tea Party sight.
  • The progressives aren't any more taking our liberty unexpectedly. the prospect is low that Obama will be in a position of completely erode our liberty. human being mandate is truly a kind of small experience solid steps. they're affected human being. they're prepared to take freedom and liberty from us one little warmth and fuzzy step at a time. The TSA is in user-friendly words an incremental step interior the imaginitive search for for further potential. some human beings actually have self assurance that the objective of belongings is to serve the interest of the state. (A. Hitler) Many extra although have self assurance that the objective of agencies it to grant jobs.

  • They threatened the freedom to avoid purchasing insurance and just relying on the emergency room for health care - so the rest of us can pay for them. Thank goodness the republicans are going to put a stop to that effort.
  • none, Bush took away our freedoms with the Patriot Act, he shredded the constitution while he was at it.
  • They took away our 4th and 8th amendment rights! Oh wait, that was Bush...
  • mostly they did everything but actually try and burn the Constitution...but I bet Pelosi dreamed of it!

  • I have been paying $500/month to a law firm who bought my credit card debt. Because I am a grad student who earns a very modest income as a teaching assistant, I did/do not have any income between late May and late August; therefore, I had to miss my payments in June and July. I have offered to pay the lawfirm $1500 in late august when I receive my student loan to make up for the missed payments and get back on schedule (1500 for the months of June, July, and August). I have not heard anything from them (I emailed, wrote a letter and left messages). Instead, the lawfirm somehow got court approval to take $400 of the $500 I had in my bank account (so now I have to worry about how I will pay my rent tomorrow!).... My question is- can they also take my student loan money when it dispersed next week? Can they seize my car? I live in Arizona right now and havent been able to figure out the AZ law on this- I need my car to get to school/work! Also, any advise about what I should do and what my rights are is much appreciated! I really just want to get back on my $500 month payment schedule and get this thing taken care of asap. Thanks!
  • She didnt sell her cc debt, the law firm bought it from his cc company. The laws have moved toward the direction of creditors, unfortunately. You need to call the creditor, and see if you can get back on track. In the meanwhile, you also need to open a new checking account. Do NOT open with a large bank. Preferably pick a savings bank with only a few offices. After your paycheck clears, withdraw the funds available in cash, and keep a small balance. Leave your current bank account open, but do not use that account, EXCEPT to deposit the $500 prior to writing the check to the law firm. If possible immediately transfer your title to your car to a family member. Now that you have protected yourself, see if you can borrow the rent money from family or friends until you get paid. Once you have hidden your assets, you can more properly deal with the law firm. Remember, the law firm bought your debt at a discount. They will settle for a % of the outstanding debt, usually as low as 50%. If you can borrow that amount from family, do it and pay them...not the bank Good luck. `
  • they have a judgment so the area the position it says accepted by technique of regulation applies to you. the very incontrovertible truth that they sued you and bigger than in all probability they requested for value. in the journey that they received the case then the decide accepted the alternative of the criminal costs to the criminal specialist and any incurred courtroom value to the creditor. it really is amazingly not likely that they sued you and did not or forgot to ask for criminal/courtroom value. To get a judgment the creditor makes use of a criminal specialist interior the sequence organization. that is not some debt collector who went to the courtroom. What you may examine is in case you probably did not get a Summons because a lot of those sequence organizations do not inform you they're suing so that you do not flow to courtroom or protect your self. Then they win because you not in any respect knew about the courtroom case. If this got here about, then you really want to the contact the State lawyer widespread. a lot of those sequence organizations are already being charged with this crime and they could be investigating this similar sequence organization. they might want victims to go back forth. You were think to get a Summons and a replica of the criticism itemizing the quantity and criminal/courtroom costs that the creditor is suing for. you're then giving a date to respond to the criticism the position you may dispute the (including any activity, value, charge, or rate incidental to the suitable criminal responsibility)
  • There is no fool like a foolish idiot. What ever possessed you to sell you CC debt to a law firm? They own you! Not only have you complicated and defaulted on your agreement, but have placed yourself in the position of having your lifetime net worth equal to Zero. They are going to take you to cleaners and make so that every dime you make for the rest of your life half of it or more is theirs! You are ruined.
  • We are getting married next month, and I'm still super confused about the whole name-changed procedure. I do want to take my fiance's last name, but I'm not sure how? I also need to plan to take the time off work so I can make the trips wherever I need to take care of that. So how does one go about changing her name after marriage? How much time should I need to take off work? Should it be in one block of days off, or do I need to take a couple days off apart from each other? What do I need to change my name on besides my SS#, driver license, insurance and bank account? I have no debts, so I don't have any loans or payments on anything to change my name on (I don't have a credit card either). Can contact my college to get my name changed on my diploma, which is on the wall at work for customers to see? I have also heard that you cannot change the name on the title of your car unless it physically changes ownership? Is this true, because I own my car free and clear, and don't want to not be able to sell it in the future? We live in Arizona. Help?
  • Ok, one question at a time: 1. What do I need to change my name on? You've covered the biggies. You MUST change your name with social security first, followed next by your driver's license. After that, you should go straight to your employer's payroll department to change your name for purposes of your paycheck and insurance. After that, anybody you hold an account with- such as your bank, utilities companies, and your doctor's office. Basically, anything that has your name on it, you need to contact them. Be sure you have your marriage license (you'll need to send for this after your wedding- they're usually filed by the officiant within 3 business days of the wedding), new driver's license, and social security card available anytime you're meeting with someone to change your name, because they may require proof of name change- your employer most definitely will need BOTH your DL and your SS card. 2. How much should I need to take off work? It will depend on how busy your local SS and DMV offices are. I made both of those visits on the same day within a couple of hours (and I had to drive about 25 minutes to get to and back from my SS office), but I live in a small town, so they're typically not that busy. The same goes for your bank. You should make those changes in person, and you'll have to wait to speak with someone instead of doing it at the teller line. Other things, such as your utilities and auto/home insurance, may be able to be done over the phone or with a fax. 3. Can [I] contact my college to get my name changed on my diploma...? I'm not sure about this. I don't think colleges do reprinting of diplomas, but I could be wrong. 4. I have also heard you cannot change the name on the title of your car unless it physically changes ownership. I don't know about this one either. I'm sure if you got in touch with the register of deeds in your county, they will be able to help you.

  • It is actually a simple procedure. Take your marriage license to your local social security office and file the form to have your name changed there. You might want to take an afternoon off from work for that. You'll get your new card with new name on it like 2 weeks later. Once you get that, you can change your name with the DMV-I did mine online, but your state may be different. They will send you an updated card you can carry with your license until your regular one expires or (in PA) I requested a new one, so I just had to wait for the new card to come in the mail, then I went to the DMV to get a new photo taken. After that, all you'd need is to verbally tell the bank and any other creditors. Don't forget your insurance company, or anyone else you regularly get mail from. You can change your name with your doc's and dentist's offices, etc when you go for your next visit. Don't worry about your vehicle. That will not be a problem.
  • I don't think it's all bad when women change their name for a man. When I get married I want to change my name (1, because I don't really like mine now) and because I think it's a nice idea that when a man and a women get married they take on one name because it's like they've become one person. I think it makes it more special, I don't see it as owning at all. A name does not mean you own someone. Now if a guy absolutely refuses to marry a girl unless she changes her name that's stupid. You're right when you say that's not right and that's the guys problem and then he really needs to think about why he loves her in the first place. And the name change thing wasn't necessarily because men were better than women, it was a biblical thing, man and woman were to take on a new life and become one with only each other. It was more for God than man (usually). Oh, and I used to say i was never going to change my last name either, but now I adore the idea, I think it's sweet and old fashioned :)
  • First place you need to go is your local Social Security office with your marriage license, current drivers license and current social security card. Then you should receive your card in the mail in a couple of weeks, then you can go to DMV and change your drivers license, that will also take a couple of weeks. From there you go to your bank and change your name and on any bills you may have. You may want to make an appt. at the Social Security office and at DMV so you can take time off of work. Im not sure about the title of the car cuz I haven't had to deal with that. Good luck and Congrats!!
  • Contact the local city clerk's office or township clerk and/or check out the social security website about changing your last name. Don't change your name on your diploma - that's dumb. But do let your alumni association know about your name change and address change (if any). And there is no reason to change the name on your title. Stop stressing about all this - it's not a big deal. It's up to you about how much time you want off from work... depending on your ceremony and honeymoon plans.
  • The only things you really need to change are government issued documents. Everything else is optional. When you are applying for loans or credit cards or pretty much anything else, there is usually a blank asking for other names are have been known by. Trust me, it's not hard to look up a person's info and see if they've ever gone by another name, and it's really not a big deal.
  • I'm actually about to go thru the same thing im getting married in september as far as i know, changing your last name can be done in one day. You will just have to get up super early. As far as the the diploma i'm not sure if you can get your last name changed on it an i really am not sure about the car situation i've tried to google it but there isn't any information coming up. Hope this helps
  • you will need to put in a change of name at your local post office, and notify the IRS of your name change. and if you have a passport that too. you will also need to contact your local doctor, dentist and other healthcare providers. you should be able to get the name changed on your vehicle registration at your local dmv when you do your driver's license. you do not have to do all of this in person, but some of these places you will because of the photo id mailed to you or you might be able to do it online. don't worry about your college diploma. no one changes their name on that if they got it before they were married. if you want to invest in a name change kit...try http://www.weddingvendors.com/name-chang...be sure you have a legal copy of your marriage certificate with you when you go to do all of this. not the keepsake copy you get at the ceremony but a legal copy you can only get from your county clerk's office. there is normally a small fee to get one.
  • yes you can change name. no problem
  • I know it sounds a bit far-fetched but I'm having like a complete year off after March and wish to use this time to explore every nook and corner of America....from Miami Beach to New York and Boston..to Mid-West, Dakotas all the way to Washington...California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, the Deep South...places like Kansas and Utah (want to meet Mormon nutcases :)...and of course Virginia, Washington DC. Assuming I don't stay in one place for too long, although would like to spend more than one week in places like New York City, Las Vegas or San Francisco...what is the best way to go about it? Is there a Lonely Planet guide? I also want to explore alone as I hate guided tours. It's also fun to find new company wherever you go. I have savings of USD 10,000. Plus, there could be some loans. I can stay in cheap motels, travel discount...need suggestions on how to get around the country cheaply? Bus? Train?
  • I think 10K is a good start and hey, if you run out of money you just go home, save some more and start again where you left off. Are you a US Citizen? If not then you have to consider how you go about obtaining a visa that will let you remain in the US for more than the normal 90-days. Not impossible but something to think about. If this is not an issue then how to you plan to go between places? Bus? Train? Fly? Drive? Flying and Train are quite expensive but you can do much of the US by bus, especially with the time that you have. MEGABUS for example runs from DC to NYC and can be as cheap as $17 one-way depending on the time you go. Larger cities are going to cost you more to sleep and eat then smaller towns but then there isn't too much to see in the small towns. I've attached some links below but if you do not plan to drive then highly suggest you read the backpacker type links and take advice from those that have already done it. They will hep you save your financial resources and also suggest the "must-see" places. EDITED NOTE - Geez Ammom - I don't think he meant any harm in his off the cuff comment but you are obviously very defensive. I think your husband should get himself a couple more wives, like the real Mormons, and kick you to the curb. You're as miserable as cancer you brainwashed "nut". BTW - Salt Lake is not Mecca and you pay way too much for the privilege of calling yourself a moron, sorry, I mean mormon.
  • Mormons give more money to charity according to income tax returns (even if you take away all religious contributions) more than any other group of people in the World, and no other group of people is even in the same ball park as far as that is concerned. Nothing more nutty than that. Nothing more nutty than helping people throughout the World live a better life. Yes, lets all go out onto the internet or somewhere else and disparage Mormons... who are the very people who are helping people. The only people are aren't "nutty" are the ones who are narcissistic, who are drinking copious amounts of alcohol and who are popping Prozac pills like they are M&M's. Because Mormons believe in living a drug free clean lifestyle, it is Latter Day Saints we must rush over and disparage every chance we get. That makes perfect sense. Or perhaps not. Maybe just maybe keeping the commandments of Jesus Christ, and being a Good Samaritan is the right way to live. Maybe. http://Mormon.org Chat. God bless.
  • 100 hotel, 50 food, 50 transportation fees, 100 misc (laundry, entrance fees,,,,) = 300 per day x 300 days = $90,000. [not counting expenses you leave behind, like either rent on a place, or storage rental for your stuff, health insurance premiums, co-pays while on the road,,,,] or your way; 9,000+/300+ days per yr = $30/day Either you need to get more money, or scale way back (to like 30 days) - and then consider a "see America" pass on greyhound or amtrak (if still available - and you can sleep in transit some nights). { Anything beyond 30 days will get old fast. }
  • I would think at least $100 per day. So 365X100= $36,000 maybe you can find a sugar mama on the way LOL
  • wooaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh thats A LOT!!!!
  • Multimedia is the programming of sound and video effects for interactivity. Mostly, the schools teach 3Ds Max and the kids are fascinated about photorealism for the first time in their life. If this school is a "for profit" private, trade school... run and run fast as far away as you can. You will never be able to pay off the student loans these schools load you down with. The laser-printed diploma they award is worth nothing. I have noted predominate animation companies want graduates from prestigious 4-year, accredited universities that emphasize math. So, you would do well to go for a fine-arts. What you seek then is for your own private authoring. Game companies typically are small and underfunded. Inasfaras working in a graphic artist career, that field is dying as print publications dry up. You would do well to study [a] Marketing [b] fine arts [c] computer programming. The ONLY accredited school that I am aware of that offers a legitimate Multimedia degree is Arizona State Un. in Tempe, AZ.
  • Media - means of expression Multi - more than one Multimedia means producing something in more than one medium at once. It could be music and dance, but usually the term implies some sort of electronic media. It could dancing to computer generated music. If you created a work of art that had a radio playing in it that would be multimedia.
  • Multimedia is things like: - pictures - sounds - videos If your not sure what multimedia you might be better off choosing a different program that you understand
