Frequently asked questions about arizona loan rate

  • Credit rating is not the be-all and end-all of getting an apartment. It's very likely that the report your prospective landlord receives is not the same report received by a bank that's considering getting you a loan. There are more specific reports for landlords that focus more closely on your rental history. A poor credit rating may still let you get an apartment so long as you don't show a number of bounced checks, and your rental history doesn't show evictions. They will probably contact previous landlords - if they report that you payed on time and didn't bounce rent checks, and didn't trash your apartment, that will help a lot. A good credit rating won't do you much good you if your prior landlords don't have anything nice to say about you. If you know your credit score, try talking to landlords up-front. A simple question of "My rating is about 545/430/615 (or whatever), is that high enough to rent from you?" can save you from wasting the application fee from some place where you don't meet the cutoff. Some places will let you rent with a low rating but require secured funds (Money Order, Cashier's Check, etc.) for your rent payment. Failing all that, try looking for a "low-end" apartment, or an apartment owned by someone who doesn't have a property manager (eg, part of a duplex or quadruplex where the owner lives in one unit, or a mother-in-law unit that someone is renting), a room for rent. You can also contact a roommate network in the area you're moving into to see if you can rent with someone with better credit than you.
  • Wish I could help but the sort of landlord who doesn't do a credit check is more likely to be the sort of landlord who offers accommodation which makes living out of your car seem attractive. What you need is a job offer and credit that isn't completely in the toilet. You may actually be surprised. We checked out a few apartment complexes here in the Triangle, NC for my stepson a while ago. They seemed to be more interested in income rather than credit rating. Edit: Come to Wake County, NC then. We are screaming out for teachers here. Life is good and rents are reasonable. Get an apartment and join the state employees credit union (which school staff can do) then a mortgage will be easy once you have a bit of history.
  • to no longer sound serious in direction of you mate, yet at the same time as i replaced into residing interior the u . s . i got here upon it fairly exciting whilst attending church and the quantity of ministries going to places, like South Africa, and then all the praises that went up there for those persons going to love "dark Africa". My factor is that i think of we've sufficient of our own right here and that this 'Christian lined working trip' element for somebody from the u . s . isn't relatively a cool element, nor a logical direction because ninety 4% of the electorate interior the u . s . have not have been given any thought what's relatively occurring outdoors their own united states of america. Secondly, coaching? have you ever learnt that practise is a undertaking in South Africa, and not through in basic terms the shortcoming of centers, however the quite coaching team themselves? no longer in basic terms like the U. S. the place the infants are as morally chalanged as you will get, SA childrens isn't what you're used to in any respect. The cultural alterations between us is basically too lots and that i'll quite propose which you pass and function a communication back with the dude that extra you onto this concept. concerning salaries: no longer in basic terms like the u . s . your bankcharges in SA to circulate money to pay the expenditures in US, taxes regionally and straightforward residing expenditures and then what you greater or much less ought to earn, nicely, suitable of success on that. greater suitable bargains to coach someplace like interior the Fillipenes or Taiwan which incorporate your degree and actually make a distinction. do no longer choose yet another US stat on our consious!
  • So, you don't know where you want to live and don't have a job either. Wow, you are brave. But, the Tennessean here in Nashville has plenty of property listings and they are held by individuals. Most of the time individuals won't do credit checks.
  • I live near Atlanta and there are always month to month rentals listed in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper. I am sure other cities and college towns in the area also have month to month rentals.
  • Since when is Arizona considered part of the south?
  • Actually, there is no limit on the amount a cc company can charge you. Check the return address on your statement and find out in which state your card issuer is based. The federal government once had national ursury laws that set a cap on the amount of interest that could be charged on a loan, but after the Great Depression, it repealed them and some states put no new ursury laws in place. The top ten credit card companies have flocked to those states: New Hampshire (no cap) -> Providian South Dakota (no cap) -> Citibank Utah (no cap) -> American Express Arizona (36% cap) -> Bank of America and Direct Merchants Virginia (no cap) -> Capital One Delaware (no cap) -> JP Morgan Chase, MBNA, Morgan Stanley (Discover) and HSBC Yes, as consumers, we're getting hosed and the cc companies are doing it legally. :-(
  • If you are in the US, different states have different laws about the usury cap. Check with your state's banking commission. Credit card companies can jack up the rates in some cases, like people who are late in payments, don't pay the minimum or don't pay at all.
  • I have a Tesco card and that is only 24. You had better swap quick.
  • mine are at 29 percent so i know where your coming from
  • My husband was married and had a son- he is now 13 and they are divorced. He continued to pay her with money orders but she wasn't reporting the payment because she was also receiving the state assistance money- if she reported his payments she would've been unable to receive both. I believe him because he still has the money order receipts-he tried to fight it but b/c he didn't write child support in the for column she said they were just gifts and the court chose her side. Anyway it's been years and she has grown up. We have paid the child support payments monthly but haven't quite caught up with the back support yet. It was supposed to be spread until the child turned 18 and we pay a little more each month. My problem is that yesterday the child support division seized our bank acct. It had all our bill money in it and pretty much nothing more. They said it will be seized until it's paid in full. There is more but I ran out of room- read the detail portion, please...
  • We called his ex-wife- she is going to just waive the back support today- since it's her money anyway. That means that they have to un-seize our bank account right? Has anyone been through this to know the process? We need our money-like yesterday-we have checks for bills we wrote etc. She is going to fill out a form tonight and notarize it- please any help would be wonderful-thank you everyone for all advise.
  • Ok, you will have to take them to court..(Child Support) My uncle just went through the same thing, he had over 800.00 in his account and in one day it all dissapeared he went to the bank and they said "child support put a hold on your account" so what he did was contact legal aid (free consultation) regarding this incident and they advised him of his rights, because by law they can "garnish" your wages, not freeze or hold your assets though. Regardless the situation there are steps to follow like everything else in life, such as, did they suspend your husbands license before doing this? Did they contact you forewarning you that they will be doing this? And this one they never do, but, did they try making contact. By any law in the united states these few simple things have to be done BEFORE seizing any assets, such as property or anything of cash value. What is recommended though since this has already happened, use a credit union account from now on, credit unions are much stiffer then our day to day banks. As unique as that sounds its really true, we moved my uncles direct deposit checks to an credit union account, the child support tried puting a hold on it, and we were contacted by them directly as to what was happening and we were able to put a stop to it quickly. Often enough, major banks just don't have the time to make you their number one priority, while credit unions are normally fairly smaller that they are able to meet you and get to know you on a more personal level, and besides their interest rates on home loans etc. are always better!! LOL.... anyhoo, first things first, I would contact legal aid, because my uncles court hearing was last thursday and he won, not only did they have to pay that 800.00 sum dollars they had to put back double what they took because of the inconvenience. So its well worth it, also, he didn't have an attorney he stood before the courts by himself. So good luck... And I hope it all works out for you guys.
  • First of all my sympathy to you! I havent had experiance with a bank account being seized but have lived with child support issues for 24 years! Every state is different and you didnt mention which state you lived in or the state she lives in! The best thing you did was to keep receipts! But you do need an attorney! My husband kept sending money orders for years and saved most of the receipts. He never wrote child support on them and in our case it didnt matter cause when it came down to it- fortunatly we were credited with the total amount he had sent her. That amount was deducted from the suppossed arrears he suppossedly owed! However- you should always save receipts and write on the money order what is was for in the memo area! My husbands x wife was on welfare too. She was cheating the govornment and us is essance because she was getting money from both! Sometimes, she even had my husband write money orders out to her mother so she wouldnt get caught! This I found out after we were married. The other thing in your post that concerns me is that I do not beleive that the x wife has the authority to just decide she doesnt want the back child support payments! If she was on assistance, they want their money back and will get it until its paid back regardless of what the x says or signs! If the child support was court ordered, and he can show the remonthly receipts were made because of the order, seems to me that you just got a really bad judge. Whatever you do keep fighting. The biggest issue in our marraige has been the child support issues, the unfair treatment we received thru the legal system and her lies to keep getting support even after the kids were over 18 and had graduated! We also learned the hard way that you should always use a professional child support collection agency to make your payments to. Sometimes that isnt a choice! Sometimes the court or state orders where your payments are to be sent- I think its a child support clearing house! Two different occassions we received letters and checks for reimbursement from the state of Colorado, where she lives saying that we overpaid the total child support for their life, and still she was able to come back to AZ and start collecting again this last time. His youngest child is almost 25 yrs old. KEEP FIGHTING and get an attorney. Yes it is worth the money you may have to borrow to get resolution. I beleive that parents should pay child support when they have an obligation to the children they bring into this world! But I also firmly beleive that they shouldnt be screwed in the process! My son is 24 and we have court ordered support and we have NEVER received a dime since he was born! Good Luck
  • if you were making the timely payments as agreed up at the last court hearing to make up the arrears....then they had no business seizing your account. i'd say get a lawyer but from the looks of it...you don't have any money to hire a lawyer anyway. first off.....get your husband's name off all your accounts. open a new account with only your name. they can't seize the spouse's account. second...go down to the child support court and file a Motion to Set Aside. I think you can file Ex-parte which means you can get a hearing the next business day. with the motion, make sure you have copies of all the receipts since the last hearing at least. attach it. serve the Child Support Office and the other parent. you can inform the parent by phone and the Child Support Office by fax. you won't get that money back, i'm sorry to say. Child Support doesn't work that way. they will freeze the funds once the motion is filed, but will only release that money to the other parent in increments unless ordered by the judge to do so. if you owe....you'll never see it again. but you can get them to stop seizing the accounts next month. agree to make the payments in a timely manner. if you have an agreement with the other parent...maybe she can give you that money back when she gets it. usually child support will go after a paycheck before they after a bank account, so that does sound odd. then they go after your driver's license. then your credit. but to jump right to your bank account is really serious.
  • You need to talk to a lawyer. Most will do a free consultation. My husband is in a very similar situation. We solve it by not having anything in his name. Our bank account is in my name only. His father set up his inheritance to go directly to our children, with me as the power of attorney or trustee or whatever you call it. All our property and vehicles etc are in only my name. They also confiscate his federal and state income tax return, so we file an Injured Spouse Form, and that ensures that I get back the amount that is due to me. I really don't see how they can just seize a bank account when you are currently making regular payments. You definitely need a lawyer. Good luck!
  • well pretty much they did have the right to consider it as a present cuz it says cleary on child support nething given to the other parent that does not go thru them is a gift it has to go directly thru attorney general for it to b considered child support or u would have to have proof that it was a payment on child support now the other part i had no idea they could even do that my lil girls father had to pay me back child support the same way in payments to where he could afford it u might want to get a lawyer to help ya on that one and make sure she signs the papers she is supposed to before she screws ya over
  • THEY WONT. I pay CS and take my advice on the following. 1. Don't tell them ANYTHING! The courts know absolutley nothing about you besides your Driver License number and ss number, UNLESS "YOU" TELL THEM. 2. The courts cannot seize anything in regards to bank accounts they know nothing about. Remember, banks are run by companies, not the government, and are a protected by the privacy act. 3. Don't pay with checks that have your account number on them where all your money is stored, just in case. 4. Open a bank account with little money in it on the side. Remember, during a court hearing, you have the right to plead the 5th ammendment (self incrimination) meaning you don't have to answer any questions, therefore, the less they know the better.
  • Bad record keeping and using money orders for support payments was foolish. You will have to wait until the court makes a ruling.
  • No, it does NOT mean they have to return the money seized. Any such petition to forgive arrears moves in only one direction, forward. Therefore, even if the petition is granted (which it most likely will not be) any future actions will be ceased. Not those in the past.
  • if your paying on back child support and current child support they shouldnt have been able to touch your bank account. id get a lawyer ASAP!! child support people have been known to really screw up figures and usually get there way in court.
  • You had better call a good lawyer. Always keep proper records of these things...

  • I noticed people post this but too many spams LOL
  • Fail troll. The economy still sucks Unemployment is over 9% He has QUADROUPLED the debt Bush's tax cuts are still in effect BP stopped the OIl spill, not Obama But this may all be sarcasm. Not sure.
  • It's not always about race! Some people might not like those things he has done. Those who support the tea party will disagree for sure. And to answer this: Is racism ever going to die? Racism has died long ago. It is only alive in the minds of those who keep it alive.
  • There's still troops in Iraq. If he told big oil to shove it gas still wouldn't be $3.00. And it's not racist to hate Obama it's OK not to like him. Also he was at a rally and one woman came up saying I voted you for change and I'm still waiting he pretty much ignored the question. You posted this before so I copied and pasted my reply woohoo
  • Why do people still oppose him? Is racism ever going to die? You seem to have already decided on why people oppose Obama .You lost me when you decided to play the race card. So now I'm not going to explain my opposition to Obama to you.
  • Bravo! Best gag post I've seen today! I can't believe more people have not figured out that you were joking.
  • Because he is worse than expected. His policies are bad no matter what his skin color is.
  • The amount of BS in this post is staggering. It would take years to set you straight.
  • He's an idiot and a socialist. And hes black. Oh, yea and a dumbass. Because hes doing EVERYTHING...wrong economically.
  • it seems your decision to wear knit hats throughout the heat of the summer has melted your brain...but it sure makes you look douchey.....

  • LOL- that should be a SNL skit!
  • Are you totally wacked, I know your totally wrong about each item, without exception. If you want to challenge this White boy, Your racist crap wont fly. This so weak it's difficult to reread your BS. President Obama Born in Africa Says Kenyan Official Posted on April 12, 2010 by modres| 7 Comments That’s what a Kenyan Official says in this report from WND. Of course it makes sense then (if this is true) why the Governor of Hawaii absolutely refused to provide the REAL birth certificate, since there would be none showing that Obama was born in any part of the United States, much less Hawaii.
  • There are MANY people who still oppose Obama, and for good reason (for them!)....they are the people who (after losing 23.7% in their Dow stocks under Bush) locked in their losses by selling when that wicked man was elected.....and have as a consequence not reaped ANY benefit from the 40% increase in the Dow since then....they are bitter, petty, unintelligent people who are now also relatively poor....oh well! Dow under Bush; 10,860 DOWN to 8,279 (-23.7%) Dow under Obama so far; 8,279 to 11,872 (UP 43.4%)
  • I can't comment until I know you are being serious or not. I think you are being facetious but there are Liberals that are irrational enough to think these are good things or for the few items listed that are good, blown WAY out of proportion to their importance. That's more of an indictment of Liberals, not of you though.
  • Brother, I hear ya! When will racism ever, ever end? Republicans are so mean spirited. They cruelly and insensitively oppose Obama just because he's only half black instead of full-blooded black like their darling, Condaleezza Rice. Can you believe their nerve? Discrimination against mulattos is a crime against humanity.
  • it is not racist to oppose some or all of his policies, it incredibly is a distinction in ideology, or opinion. If one have been racist they might oppose, or help him, based basically on his race, and the policies does not count.
  • We are allowed to oppose him, and you need to thank whatever god or other imaginary being you worship that it is that way. Would you really want to live in a nation where political dissent was not allowed? You do realize that 90% of your claims are either blatant lies or half-truths, right?
  • Long Ignorant Rant. 0bama has done nothing good and the only good thing he can do is leave office yesterday.
  • Wait until the bill comes due Skippy. You'll wish he were just a bad dream.
  • I've often thought of becoming a golf club.
  • Why does Obama oppose Americans?

  • People oppose him because he promised jobs and didn't deliver, preferring to expend all his energy on the disgraceful health care reform bill. Your list is laughable.
  • These are good things? -Demanded immigration laws not be enforced, in preparation for universal amnesty -Bankrupted capitalistic companies to move towards socialism and eventually communism -figured out a way to allow homosexuals to legally molest the general public -Put an end to space research -- we've already been to the moon. • If Obama is great how come unemployment is so high? How come the national debt is over $14 trillion? Why are so many people losing their homes and any savings they may have? For the amount of money Obama and the Democrats spent things should be a whole lot better, and not just for Obama's buddies at Goldman Sachs. You are clearly unwilling to admit the truth because of your own racism.
  • People still oppose him because it is their right to choose whether or not they agree with their views (at least in most cases it is their right, there are a few people in the world not as lucky). Also, some of the arguments you stated as to why Obama is a good president can be argued to be the reason (to some people) as a bad thing. Example, providing more equal opportunity to all citizens in the United States to you is a great thing, but to a stereotypical right winged Texan Oil tycoon, this is a nightmare! Overall, consider it as the 1st amendment in action!
  • There was a quote recently i forget who said it. "This generation is the least informed yet the most opinionated". This quote says it all. How can people be more opinionated yet not know what the hell they're talking about? People like to believe since we're so much more connected now thanks to the internet, we're more informed. On the contrary, we're more prone to getting false information than anything we can really learn from. Like how people assumed Obama was a big spender or that unemployment actually went up. People oppose him for a couple reasons: 1) Because they believe all this false information. As a majority, people are pretty stupid by nature. Most voters in the last couple elections did no research about their candidate aside from watching fox news and going off word of mouth 2) It doesn't matter who's president, people hate WHOEVER is in power. Obama alone doesn't control the economy by himself, yet when anything bad happens he is the ONE person who is blamed when come on now...one person responsible for everything in the country? This is just americans dishing the blame Obama is actually a very good president. You just wouldn't know it by what you hear on tv
  • So are you saying that just because someone disagrees with Obama that makes them racist. race has nothing to do with it buddy. It is his policies that most people have a problem with. I disagree with Obama for the same reason I disagreed with Bush... it is their policies that have been hurting America. Bush started the mess and Obama is only making it worse. most of the stuff that you said Obama did is BS.
  • When will you find a new question and stop posting the same BS all over again. Spam.
  • Is racism ever going to die? Not as long as people like you continue to try and promote it.
  • Resistance is futile! Do not oppose High Commander Obama!
  • "Brought our troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan" Uh huh, good one. You can stop reposting this.

My check is up $2300/month from what Bush gave us! - Made more equal opportunity for us to become what we want to be - Spent money to stimulate the economy - Spoke out against people that say America's government is broken (Tea party) - Allowed leaders of other nations to speak their mind about America on the tax payers dime - Bankrupted capitalistic companies to move towards socialism and eventually communism - Caused inflation to make other nations currency stronger - Apologized for American's history and arrogance - Filed lawsuits against neocon states that want to prohibit illegal immigrants - Preparing for a national amnesty program to ensure EVERYONE in the USA has the same rights - STOPPED the oil leak in the gulf - abolished DON'T tell I'll ask - gotten rid of BUSH's taxcuts - started a crackdown on CYBER BULLYING -figured out a way to allow homosexuals to legally molest the general public (TSA patdown) -realized the rights of Americans were intended to be expendable -repealed don't ask don't tell -proposed a plan that requires everyone to have their OWN internet ID -comforted the nation and offered the full resources of the government to finding out what happened in Arizona -invited President Hu to come to the White House for a steak dinner to discuss more loans and debt extension -told big oil to "shove it" preventing them from gouging the American consumers with gas prices over $2, as Bush allowed These are just a few of the many things that President Obama has done since being elected. He promised he would bring HOPE and CHANGE if elected and he has delivered! Why do people still oppose him? Is racism ever going to die?
  • Republicans don't oppose Obama because he's black. They'd hate him just as much if he was white. Like they hated Clinton and Carter and Kennedy. The Republican Party is all about an agenda. In order to pursue this agenda they have to be in power. Karl Rove, under the GW Bush admin., introduced a plan to destroy the 'Democrat Party' and turn the US into a one party system. He made no bones about it, he didn't even try to hide the strategy. When a Democrat gets into the White House, the GOP goes on a four year long (or eight year long) temper tantrum. They only want to destroy him, to make him fail, as hard and as quickly as possible, so they can get back into control. They don't care what damage they do to the country in the process, only about getting back into control. They call themselves 'patriots' but clearly they put party above country. In order to make Obama fail, first they refuse to cooperate with Democrats. They obstruct and drag their heels, because cooperating with a Democratic president only hands him a victory and validates his presidency. They make sure nothing gets through Congress, and of course they blame this gridlock on the Democrats. They make up malicious lies about the president, and repeat them over and over, even long after they've been discredited. They did this with Clinton too--how many Republicans still believe Clinton murdered staff members, raped Juanita Broderick, sold nuclear secrets to the Chinese? Republican congressional leaders (like John Boehner) have said right out loud that their first priority these days is denying Obama a second term. They are going to try to accomplish this by doing as much as they can to drive the country into the ground for the next two years, and constantly blaming Democrats and Obama.
  • Let me start by saying that I voted for Obama, but I am increasingly becoming disenfranchised with his continued insistence on cooperation with the right. I think he was fair in the beginning of his first term to give them a chance to get on board, BUT they made it clear from the beginning that they were going to block everything he tried with all of their power. At this juncture, instead of making Clinton's mistake and bending over backwards hoping that they will see reason, and the good of the nation's constituents (not just the multi-billionaires) he SHOULD have put his foot down while he had the power to do so, and called them on their deceit and get a health care bill with a public option passed, and then moved on to some true economic reform. Had he done this, he would be unstoppable in a good way. Now the repubs are going to be laughing all the way to the bank. They are now launching a plan to eliminate unions and worker's collective rights in all states, and the rich will get richer off of the wages that they should be paying their workers. Truly the wages they fail to pay the workmen who plowed their fields cry out against them. The cries of the harvesters (and factory workers, and government workers, and service industry workers) have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. Obama could have stopped this early on. He could have passed a truly living minimum wage. But he wasted the time he could have done these things with without the Right's cooperation, and now the Right still gets to write the script.
  • -His whole goal is economic collapse. He has spent more than Bush, PLUS his new bill will give us new debt of $7 TRILLION -I don't know what basement you are in but unemployment is almost 10% - highest it has been in decades -Bush signed the agreement to bring troops home in 2011; last I checked we still had soldiers in Afghanistan -Won Nobel for his national apology tour -health care is not free - TAXES will pay for it and coverage will be rationed; I hope you don't get old or have cancer -We have more terror attack attempts since Obama became President -NWO = END OF FREEDOM -Man made global warming is a hoax to spread the wealth - UN official confessed as much, climate gate -NO BAILOUTS - I didn't like it when Bush did it too - govt. run businesses = marxism which is the antithesis of the Constitution -Offshore drilling would make oil cheaper and decrease are funding of MidEast -"give us more than what we deserve" - that makes you a slave to the govt and a thief of the taxpayer - stimulus money DID NOT WORK - of course he spoke out against the TEA Party, he doesn't like the Constitution -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7udR7OO_M...
  • about 1/4 of the country supported bush no matter what he did. these are hard core republicans/conservatives. They will never support obama. the other 25% or so that is not supporting obama is disappointed with the economy. they hold obama responsible for the poor economy, rightly or wrongly. That is why obama's approval rating is around 50%. it used to be around 75% when he took office, because the 25% who are disillusioned were hopeful back then.
  • Well either the whole country is basically idiots for not realizing how great he is OR you are not quite honest when evaluating how great he is. My bet is on the later.
  • "some" people? Nearly 40 % of the country thinks he's doing a terrible job.
  • "- Won the Nobel PEACE prize!!!" -What did he do to deserve this? NOTHING! :"- Promoted alternative lifestyles of homosexuality, transgender, etc -- DIVERSITY!" -**** you, he defended DOMA, he can sit on it and spin.
  • Lol he did like 5 of those things and they all suck
  • Yeah! Your On it! If the "WE THE PEOPLE" would get on board and support Pres Obama, the change would've ALREADY gotten here!! Wingnuts - Stop BLAMING ONE GUY for your governance deficits and allowing megacorps to buy you and you republican cronies -lock stock and barrel - PLUS they got you out there at TOWN HALL MEETINGS waving their FLAGS! (dam - what idiots!) Stop blockading OUR PRESIDENT - BE A PATRIOT! DO SOMETHING FOR AMERICA - STOP BLOCKING ANY AND ALL PROGRESS. ... DUHHH!
  • When are u going to get a new question? this is getting boring.
  • Republicans: 1. They say every single day, it is a party fundamental, that "big" government is the enemy, yet Republican governors have been attacking everything from marriage, abortion, paycheck fairness, minimum wage and everything else. They don't like 1 huge government, but they are absolutely cool with 50. 2. They say there is absolutely no "war on women", yet they have proposed 2000+ anti-abortion bills in 2011 alone, signed into law over 250 of them, threatened to shut down government if the Pres. did not eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood who cares for millions of low income women every year, Texas and Arizona governors eliminated PP funding illegally which caused over 350,000 low income women in their two states to have 0 medical care, they voted to block the Paycheck Fairness Bill(Wisconsin actually repealed this law at the state level)and the Violence Against Women Act, and vowed to repeal the parts in Obamcare that make it illegal to charge women 100% more then men for health insurance. 3.John Beohner claimed that Democrats were running around the counrty spreading lies in an effort to claim republicans were waging a "war" on students because Obama wanted people to urge Congress to pass teh bill that would NOT raise teh student loan interest rate. Yet, when the bill came up in Congress, Republicans successfully filibustered it and jsut said ef you to millions of students and soon to be students who are trying to pay for college so that they can have a job and give back to the economy.
  • Republicans being against the customary public wellness-Care Mandate (some thing they created and fully supported no longer even a decade in the past). Democrats being outraged at Bush bombing civilians in Afghanistan and Pakistan (jointly as Obama has ramped up the assaults with the help of a minimum of 10 fold). Democrats blaming Bush Jr for best gas expenses (Republicans asserting the U.S. President has no administration over that form of element). Now, Republicans blaming Obama for best gas expenses (Democrats now asserting the U.S. president has no administration of that form of element.) Republicans being outraged at Obama's mass spending (jointly as ignoring Bush Jr's mass spending). Democrats being outraged at Bush Jr's stripping of Civil Liberties (jointly as ignoring Obama's stripping of Civil Liberties). the two components are crammed with pretend outrage and synthetic subject concerns. Frankly, the two components are very almost an analogous. they only whinge while the different area does some thing yet are completely wonderful with their area doing the suitable same element. F*cking politics..... u . s ., open your eyes!
  • (Translated using BabelFish) Myths and realities of the financial crisis 22 of September of 2008, 04:00 A.M. By Xavier Serbia It has been one week, for some, exciting; for another horrifying one. But, also it has been one week full of myths that are repeated with as much conviction that who says it thinks that it is so. Thus we had personages in the media shouting to us how to make money in the hypothecating market; now they are saying to us that this one is the economic fiasco of history. Of the same form that motivated us with the “irrational exuberance”, now they want to fill to us of “apocalyptic” messages awaiting the “monster of thousand heads”. We go to the point. We take some myths and put them out naked, until we see the reality of each of them. Myth #1: “We are in a recession like the one of the 29” Reality: Nothing like that. With 6,1% in the rate of unemployment and 3,3% in the GDP (preliminary), can we say that it is depression? Certainly we are in a deep financial crisis, but to call it the "depression of 2008”? No. In the depression of 1929 there were hundreds of banks closed, the savings (not the investments) were lost, one in four people ready to work were unemployed and the cities were facing long rows of poor men looking for work and food. Do We see that now? Now what we see are long lines of people buying Ipods. Certainly this financial crisis is affecting the investments of many and can open the iron door from a financial to an economic one (so that it happens to other areas of the economy). But, mechanisms exist that did not exist then to stop the spill. And the leaders are moving towards that direction. My people, the same “catastrophic” shouts occurred after Baring, LTCM, the Asian crisis, dot.com, and with 9/11. Still we are waiting for the depression. Myth #2: “The greed of the rich ones of Wall street has taken us to this” Reality: As far as I know, the didn't call that to Wall Street when individuals, families, salesmen, bankers, mass media, politicians, investors were participating in the celebration of the “hypothecating tequila”. They called it “the opportunity of the American dream”. It is certain that many investment banks, funds of insuring capitalists of risk and insurers took extreme risks when bathing in debts with "the hypothecating tequila" . But, many drank of the same glass of the greed, and not necessarily they are in the high floors of Manhattan, but in common streets like California, Florida, Nevada, Arizona and the list goes on. For that reason, I prefer to say that “the extreme appetite to risk in Wall street as in Main Street has taken us to this”. Myth #3: “The banks are falling” Reality: of nearly 8.425 financial institutions assured by the FDIC, How many banks have closed in the period of 2007-2008? Fifteen (15), which have been in their majority acquired by other banks. Do You know how many banks closed during the crisis of “Savings and Loans” in the decade of the 80's? more than 1,600. Certainly some real estate mortgage banks have undergone the effect of their excesses (IndyBanc, Countrywide, Ameriquest, etc.), investment banks of weight have been carved up (Lehman), others fell to the arms of other banks (Merrill Lynch and Bear Stearn), others are flirting to be merged with another banks (Morgan Stanley), the GSE like Fannie and Freddie fell at the hands of the government, AIG obtained a financial rescue, “hedge funds” have closed, small banks fell at the hands of others, the FDIC increased the level of reserves and it expects that several banks will close down. But, “the banks are not falling”. Myth #4: “My investments are assured” Reality: The investment is not assured, which is assured is the account and its content in case of a closing or fraud on the part of the financial institution. And the protection has a limit. One thing is the loss by fraud or closing of an institution; another thing is the loss by the fall in the value of the investment. It is the FDIC (in the case of the banks), SIPC (in the case of the brokerage houses), NCUA (in the case of credit unions) or Funds of State Guarantee (in the case of the insurance companies) who cover in case of bankruptcy, closing or fraud. We say that if I invested $25.000 in Lehman shares, the value of the shares went through the floor, because nobody covers the loss because that is part of the risk that faces investing. If my money is in an institution that has its respective insurance and it closes or exists a fraud, now they insurance me as long as it fulfills the specifications of that certain insurance. In the case of money that we have in the accounts of retirement by contributions with our employer (for example 401k) this is separated from the employer and the administrator of the money (company of investments that invests the money) in a separated account in our name. Now, if you lost 20% of your value of the investment (example you had $100.
  • No it's not.

  • Obama shits rainbows and his tears cure cancer. Didn't you hear?
  • Because he is a LYING sack of crap. I don't care if he were green, you know he is lying whenever he opens his mouth. He CLAIMS that his latest budget proposal will be balanced by the middle of this decade, yet if you actually READ the budget that his staff printed out, it CLEARLY shows that the budget will NEVER come close to being balanced, let alone a budget surplus. His explanation, well....... we didn't count interest on our debt expense in our calculations. Really? So, then normal Americans can go around not paying interest on our mortgages, Credit Cards, and car payments, because.... Obama doesn't count those. Your obvious lies that you have listed as evidence of Obama doing something besides ruining the country and your automatic insistence that anyone who disagrees with Obama is a racist is proof enough that you are the only racist here. whale
  • I'm liking the tone of people's answers to this question. Nice to see we're not all asleep. Even Punk Chik who voted for him at least gave an honest answer. Despite the fact I am against about everything Obummer stands for, I respect her angle because she isn't blinded by the messianic propaganda and didn't pull the race card like you did.
  • Because as a citizen of AMERICA it is my RIGHT to choose whether I like someone or not. I do not live in Nazi Germany nor Communist China. Also, I don't belong to a politically correct party who believes "If they do not agree with me or think the way I think then they must be homophobic/sexist/racist/ignorant/mental... disabled/ or some other insult that they pulled out of their @$$.
  • Most of the things you mentioned aren't so great. And winning the Nobel Peace Prize makes him amazing somehow? I've never thought so low of the distributors of that prize than when he won it. And here's a newsflash for you: this has nothing to do with race.
  • Because Obama's an idiot whose actions have only hurt America, not helped. He deserves no respect for his complete and utter LACK of respect for this nation's citizens. All he does is threaten American businesses, American states, and the American people as if we are a threat to him. It's been like that since day one. Even our enemies get more respect from Obama than we do.
  • Gas prices clime every day now over 3 dollars a gallon. Cost of health insurance up 40% Cost of food and clothes going up. Wage freezes. unemployment still almost 10% Funding for education cut. Borders are less secure than ever, Crime and violence along the border worse than in any time since the Alamo Drug cartel killing everyone in their way. Giving amnesty to criminals and punishing those that defend laws. Why do you still support him? How long will you use the race card to defend his historic failure in every aspect of leadership?
  • Exhibit A: http://www.motifake.com/image/demotivati...
  • He has done zero for the American people. He is a liar. He runs at first sign of trouble. He dumps a problem on someone else. He crossed someone to get where he's at. He has a harder time daily trying to hide his praise for muslims. The health bill would cripple the people. He(like a petty thief), snuck it through. I have to assume you are black, muslim, or at least lib. He is the worst pres. sit in we have ever had. God Bless America and to hell with the others.
  • it is not racist to oppose some or all of his rules, it is a distinction in ideology, or opinion. If one have been racist they could oppose, or help him, based purely on his race, and the guidelines does not count.
  • I have to say it after reading your post, 0bama made a mistake when he did not make you his new press secretary. To say that you're delusional is an understatement, your dreams, visions and illusions when it comes to your view of the fantasy in which you see 0bama, its got hallucinations or maybe a will-o -the -wisp!
  • I looked into it myself but decided against it because a lot of the students reviewed poorly for it. Most of the locals around there hate US citizens and like the poster above said, there is a high crime rate. Check out www.studentsreview.com I am probably going to University of Arizona next year, it is only around 14k a year for an out of state student. It is a pretty well known school, far away from home and nice weather (at least the weather i like).
  • Three problems: Cost of living is Hawaii is very high. Honolulu / Oahu has big city type crime Too many fun distractions...may forget to go to class.

  • Nice link. Hard to pick a favorite with so many needless projects A study to see why guys don't like condoms? A study to see if drinking makes college women hook up easier? We already know the answer to these questions. I have to go with the 2 billion given to landlords to fix their income properties.
  • I like #12 the broadband map that will be outdated when it is completed for 350 million
  • Spending money on those signs that let people know that it was stimulus money that was used to fixed this road. That was just stupid. Those signs cost millions.
  • $1.15 million for installation of a new guardrail for the non-existent Optima Lake in Oklahoma. There is no lake - it’s a dry hole.
  • The money that went to made up cities.
  • Their website where they track the spending for us all to see. It's full of misinformation and just plain wrong. And it costs millions to run.
  • The Obama administration.~ 2.6 million to study the drinking habits of Chinese hookers.~
  • 1. In almost all your examples they are making energy efficient changes which will allow us to lessen our foreign dependence on oil, so not a bad thing. 2. The point of the stimulus was to spend a ton of money so that people could keep their jobs/create new ones. They had to spend a ton of money really fast so some projects aren't going to be the greatest, but they still help save jobs, so it isn't a waste.
  • Well, I'm only 13 but I'm begining flight school this winter. I also want to work for the airlines. Since you can begin at any age, I recomend you get started immediatly considering it takes a good 10-15 years before you become an airline pilot. First, you need to find a suitable flight school. Just about any flight school will get you to the airlines. There are two types of schools you need to remember; part 141 FAA-approved schools which provide the highest level of teaching, require less flight training hours and have high-quality equipment. They always use a syllabus to teach their students. Then, there are part 61 schools. These schools may or may not carry a syllabus, require more flight training, and give not necessarily poor, but lower quality training and lower quality equipment. I would recommend part 141. I know two excellent websites for discovering flight schools in your area. www.learntofly.com and beapilot.com I got these websites from a kid who is currently taking flying lessons in San Diego. Simply type in your zip and it brings up a list of schools within an hour's drive from your location. In flight school, you will do several lessons with your instructor. Depending on how often you attend school (2-3 times a week is fair) it could take from 2-4 years before you finish your lessons. If you are very dedicated, you could finish in as little as 6 months. The cost per lesson is generally $70 - $200 depending on the aircraft type you fly, which will most likely be a Cessna 152. Now, I'm going to give you a tip. Remember that kid I told you about who is taking lessons? Well, he asked his school if he could wash planes in exchange for lessons, and the manager agreed. So, instead of paying for each lesson, he scrubs down the Cessnas and just flies. However, not all schools let you do this. I've asked about five schools if I could do the same, but they did not agree to it. So, try asking but I'm not saying they will let you. Also, if you are eligible you can apply for student loans, paying a motnhly fee instead of each lesson. In this case, you would want to fly as much as possible per month. You do lessons like landings, takeoffs, crosswinds, deadsticks, slow flight, stalls, sharp turns, etc. You will encounter night flights as well. In school, you will also get an instrument & a multi-engine rating, which allow you to fly in poor-conditions and operate more sopisticated aircraft. You get your SPL (student pilot's license) at age 16 (your probably past age 16) which allows you to fly solo without passengers. You need to pass at least a third-class physical. You continue flying, building up experience and at age 17 you can get your PPL (private) which allows you to fly with passengers. Now you are free to fly with friends or go flight seeing, etc. At age 18 you can get your CPL (commercial). You need a second-class physical. You still can't work for the airlines, however. At the same time, you should be in college. You must have a four-year degree in either science, math or aeronatics to get hired in the future. Embry-Riddle is an excellent aviation college located in Arizona & Daytona Florida. By the way, just so there isn't any confusion, you can take flying lessons and college seperatly, so you don't have to move to take lessons. However, in your case, since your already in high and should be going to college soon, you might want to think about flight schools near the college you pick. If you go the Embry-Riddle I think you can get a degree and take lessons at the same place. You continue flying cross-country in smaller aircraft which you can rent at local flight schools. You must keep a flight log of flying time. You need to have enough experience flying cross-country before getting hired. You can also buy a private plane to do this. When you have the required flight log hours (I'm not sure how many you need) you can begin working for the airlines at age 23. You can do this and earn money at the same time by flying giving tours, flight seeing, becoming an instructor, etc. There are certain courses you can take in flight school if you want to become an instructor, but talk to your school about that. If you pass a first-class physical, you can get your APL (airline) and get hired. First, you start out in a hiring pool. You should make yourself look the most appealing to them because they are going to choose those with the most experience, etc. People who served in the military are picked first (I don't believe in the military either). Again, they want people who have a four-year degree. Once hired by a regional airline, you start out as an F/O reserve. (I assume you know what that is). Then, when the next position opens up (F/O blockholder) you move to that. Unlike other jobs where you have to work your way up, you simply move up when the next position opens up. This has good sides and down. If there is a shortage in pilots like right now, you can progress very rapidly, skipping the entire reserve phase. You still however need to be an F/O before captain. After F/O blockholder, you become a captain reserve, then captain blockholder. Once your a captain, you can finally be hired by a major. You repeat the entire process of the pool, reserve - blockholder, etc. Basically, you just keep working your way up to the top. The other day I opened up a fortune cookie and it said, "the path you take may be difficult, but will be very rewarding". I pretty much live my life by it, and I think you should too. Good luck with becoming a pilot! I wish you the best of luck. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at zach.eckert@gmail.com
  • I had a friend in high school, he got good grades but nothing crazy. He started his training really young just after he got his drivers licence(16 in Canada). Every penny he ever made went towards his lessions and flying hours. It was very expensive for him and took him all high school to get the hours. He continued training through University but limited and when out became a freight pilot with Air Canada. When he has enough long distance hours and a spot opens up he'll have the opportunity to apply for a commercial gig. From then you'll have to ascend the ranks. It's a tough haul but not as rough as becoming a helicopter pilot. from what I hear anyway. Good luck
  • You are tested for fitness not fatness, however, the problem is not when you are a commercial pilot but when you start training. I am also overweight and the first plane I flew as a pilot was a Cessna 150. Shall we say that with the instructor it was "cosy". It didn't worry me that we were so close but it might worry a young lady. The small training aircraft have strict weight limits and if you and your instructor exceed those limits you may be forced into flying a larger aircraft such as a P28. This is ok but it's more expensive. What others have said about future health issues still stands. Good luck in your training.
  • My cousin goes to Emery Riddle in Arizona. He started flying the first day. Now he is teaching classes and getting his paid for and experience. He says before he can fly commercial, which he wants to do, he has to have so many hours with like UPS or FEDX. They want to know you can fly a plane for long times with just yourself before you put a bunch of passengers in danger. His plan is to fly for UPS until he can get his commercial license.
  • check out www.pprune.org a lot of info about flying in Europe and people becoming pilots
  • the commercial airline industry is in the toilet. You should try to do something else!

  • Im planning to attend a community college on financial aid in Michigan for only my freshman year then transfer to ASU. If your an Arizona resident its only $6,500 a year with room and board, and if your out of state its $19,000. Should I state my residency in Arizona first before I apply to transfer (ASU transfer acceptance rate is like 95%) ?? And does financial aid pay for my tuition and etc. if i were to transfer with in-state or out-state costs??? And if this sounds familiar to you, some tips on transferring to save some money would be nice!!
  • I believe you must be a resident for at least a year before being able to claim in-stat residency. I would not consider lying about such things. Because of my grades I qualified for a scholarship that lets me pay in-state costs at my current school. (something you might consider looking into) Financial aid also takes into account this increase in tuition costs and your granted loans/grants may increase also. Good luck!
  • Residency concerns plenty, because of the fact the clarification that state universities are low-fee for citizens is they're sponsored with the help of state tax funds. the completed purpose of state universities is to show the voters of that state to become effective voters of the state. whilst you're actually not a resident of the state, your mothers and fathers have not been paying tax funds into the state, and you're actually not vulnerable to be a destiny contributor to the state with your man or woman tax funds. In a case like that, they desire you to pay to your man or woman training, because of the fact why ought to the voters of the state of California pay for you? Your ideas are indistinguishable. as long as you're actually not a citizen of California, it fairly is not appropriate in case you finished college in Alberta or in Oregon. Do whichever you opt for.
  • Alright, here it is. 1. How do you do it? First thing's first. Find what's known as an "Aviation Medical Examiner". All pilots need to be healthy enough to fly. You need 20/20 farsight and 20/40 intermediate/nearsight. You need to be be balanced and coordinated (only as much as a normal human). You need to be able to hear an english speaking voice in a quiet room (you also need to be able to read and write in english). You need to be clear of all serious mental disorders, like bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder or anything like that. And of course you have to be clean of ANY sort of drug abuse for at least the last two years...Ask the good doctor for a 2nd or 3rd class medical certificate. It'll run you 60-100 dollars. Now you need a source of money. It takes thousands of dollars to become a pilot of any kind. By the time you're 65 you'll probably have spent 50 to 80 thousand dollars on training alone. Get a loan or a scholarship (you'll probably end up needing several of both). Get a job and live with your parents for awhile... Then find a school! You got two choices, college or flight school. There are plenty of aviation colleges that will teach you to fly and give you a degree at the same time. The Harvard of aviation colleges is Embry Riddle University of Florida or, to a lesser extent, Arizona. Super expensive and super fancy facilities...Here's a database of all the aviation colleges in the 50 states of the US. http://flighttraining.aopa.org/learntofl...You'll need your -Private pilot's license -Commercial Pilots License -Instrument Flight Rating -Multi Engine Rating in that order to get hired as a pilot. They'll teach you all that (and more) in a four year program at one of those schools as long as you can keep the money flowing. It'll probably cost you around $27,000-$32,000 for just the flight lessons. 2. It could take 2-7 years. It all depends on how fast you take your lessons, there are some schools that can get you your private pilots license in a week if you can pay all the money at once... 3. A student pilot's schedule consists of eat, take a ground lesson, work a dead end job, fly and sleep. A pilots schedule consists of the same thing minus the working the dead end job part. And ground lesson if they're done with all the training they want... 4. If you're going to an aviation university you'd better know math, I made the mistake of being weak in math skills...You need to take and pass a calculus class to get a degree in aviation science. Thankfully you never ever need calculus on the job. You can start studying the private pilots manual as soon as you like. The sooner the better. There's written test given by the FAA for student private pilots. You can buy books at your local flight school or from a website like this one. http://sportys.com/PilotShop/category/96...To study for the test get the Jeppesen Private Pilot text book (yeah it's expensive) and the Jep Test Guide. Everything you need to know about starting the process of becoming a pilot is in that book. for more information go to your local flight school and ask questions. Flight schools usually hang around small airports...Good luck!
  • This Site Might Help You. RE: What Does it Take to be a Pilot? I wanted to be a pilot for like my whole life and I am getting to the point at this age that i know i will be a pilot. I just need to know how to do it, how long will it take, what is a pilot's schedule, and what do i need to study .
  • how long will it take? depends what sort of pilot you want to be a PPL can be done in as little as 4 months... An international airline pilot can be working all over the hours of a clock Beside the actual flying theory subjects, a good backgroound knowledge of physics and maths would be a great start
  • Just get certified by FAA i think then just go here http://wiscareers.wisc.edu/default.asp < Occupations < Browse Occupations < A < Airline Pilots My username is Greattom12 + password is riseoftiger (i know lame, long story) And no, that is not my password and username for Y!A

  • Following an uprating project from 1986 to 1993, the total gross power rating for the plant, including two 2.4 megawatt electric generators that power the plant's operations, is about 2080 megawatts.[21] Generators at the Dam's Hoover Powerplant began transmission of electricity from the Colorado River to Los Angeles, California 266 miles (428 km) away on October 26, 1936. Additional generating units were added through 1961. Original plans called for 16 large generators, 8 on each side of the river (see architectural illustrations) but two smaller generators were installed instead of one of the large ones on the Arizona side, for a total of 17. The smaller generators were used to serve smaller municipalities at a time when the output of each generator was dedicated to a municipality, before the dam's total power output was placed on the grid and made arbitrarily distributable. Water flowing from Lake Mead through the gradually-narrowing penstocks to the powerhouse reaches a speed of about 85 miles per hour (140 km/h) by the time it reaches the turbines. The entire flow of the Colorado River passes through the turbines (except for seepage around the edges of the dam through the semi-porous volcanic rock it rests against). The spillways are rarely used. Hydroelectric power plants have the ability to vary the amount of power generated, depending on the demand. Steam turbine power plants are not as easily throttled because of the amount of thermodynamic inertia contained in their systems. Control of water was the primary concern in the building of the dam. Power generation allowed the dam project to be self sustaining: repaying the 50-year construction loan, and continuing to pay for the multi-million dollar yearly maintenance budget. Power is generated in step with and only with the release of water in response to downstream water demands.
  • If it was made in the 1930's and is still running, I think it is very efficient.
