Frequently asked questions about arizona loan center

  • Would it be possible for me to own one panda in Arizona? Considering: - Average annual salary of $100,000+ - Good standing with the community - Recognition and known volunteer hours - Going back to school when already successful to complete training in a vocational course with animals - Owning a large property Or, is there a way to open a "center" for animals, but only keep one panda?
  • Assuming you mean true pandas (giant pandas), Ailuropoda melanoleuca; Vulcan Alex's answer covers it: Nobody owns any live pandas except the Chinese government. You have to be a prestigious and wealthy zoo to get a panda on long-term loan from China, and it's very expensive even if you can negotiate it. You will never get one for your own private "animal center." The red panda, Ailurus fulgens, also called the lesser panda, is less rare and lives in China, India, Nepal, and Bhutan (Indira Gandhi is said to have kept them as pets). Numerous zoos around the world have red pandas. If you have a lot of money and influence, you *might* be able to get one for your back yard. Nontheless, the red panda is also considered a "vulnerable" species, and is protected in much of its range, so you can expect to find restrictions on private ownership of one and especially on their export and import. The most likely source would be a zoo that has excess captive-bred specimens and can't find another zoo that wants them.
  • If you are referring to a Panda Bear, you can't "own" one any where. The pandas you see in zoos are all property of the Chinese government. They are the National animal of China and are on the extinction list No one can own one except the Chinese government.
  • Only the Chinese government owns pandas. They are loaned to accredited zoos with approved breeding programs only. So no, you can't have a panda, regardless of where you live.
  • Only China "owns" any Pandas. The ones in zoos are on loan.
  • If I was getting pandas id get 2 so they breed and sell those babies for some major cash. but I doubt they will let you.
  • Day care teachers in Ohio average about minimum wage to $10 an hour, as you more than likely will not need any degree let alone training. But ......... the money if you get a degree is in Head Start centers or in public school preschool programs. Those jobs start at about $24,000 a year. Don't rack up a ton in student loan debt to get a preschool degree. You need a teaching degree to make the money, but ohio is flooded with teachers. And FYI every state has different 'teacher licensing' requirements. this means if you get a degree in Ohio you and move to Arizona, you might have to take additional college classes there to get a license in that state. The Midwest is one of the cheapest areas to live in the country.
  • I'm a day care teacher in arizona. I think you might need a second job.
  • http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iG5Bq..."The Keating Five were four Democratic senators, and Republican McCain, who accepted contributions from Charles Keating Jr., a real estate speculator and savings and loan owner. His institution failed and cost many investors in uninsured financial products their life savings. Once close to Keating, McCain received $112,000 from him, his family and associates. The senator and his family also flew in Keating's plane to the Bahamas and — in the events that triggered the Senate investigation — took up his cause with financial regulators as they were investigating the businessman. Keating eventually went to prison. McCain eventually repaid $112,000 to the U.S. Treasury and reimbursed Keating for the trips." What do you think? Can you trust McCain?
  • Do you believe everything McCain tells you? Do some research folks: *In 2003, McCain slipped $14.3 million into a defense appropriations bill to create a buffer zone around Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. *In 2006, the senator teamed up with fellow Arizona senator Jon Kyl (R) to funnel $10 million toward the University of Arizona for an academic center named after the late Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist. http://thinkprogress.org/2008/01/06/mcca...
  • *John McCain says he is against earmarks and has promised that as president he would "veto every bill with earmarks" that came across his desk. [CQ, 4/15/08]. He also claims to have "been a very strong proponent to the State of Israel." [Haaretz.com, 2/3/2008] But John McCain has a problem. Aid to Israel is an earmark. As reported by thinkprogress.org, "congressional directives specifying spending amounts that are the same as shown in the Administration's illustrative listing for country distributions also are regarded as earmarks. Annual earmarks for economic and military aid to Israel and Egypt are examples of such directives." [http://thinkprogress.org/2008/04/16/mcca...http://www.democrats.org/a/2008/04/mccai...
  • What about the earmark just added onto the bailout for a congressman from Alaska?
  • McCain was naive when he got involved in Keating 5. He was investigated, and was the only one found not guilty. He was also the only Republican, this was a scheme by the Democrats. He has publicly spoke about his missteps in Keating 5, and he returned all the money. He was still elected to the Senate for another 20 years after that. This is done, this is over. McCain followed up with the campaign contribution limits, the famous McCain / Feingold bill, Feingold was a Democrat, the two have fought corruption for some time. He has also taken a more balanced approach towards regulation and deregulation, he even co-sponsored legislation that could have prevented the collapse of Fannie and Freddie. If you don't believe me, you will hear about this, I have no doubt it will come up in the debate tonight.
  • Obama has received $ 126,000 from Freddie and Fannie in his 143 days in the Senate- while the others had been in the Senate for over 20 years. The Keating 5 occurred in the 70"s and McCains records for the last 30 years have been clean. You do not understand the full story behind the Keating 5 and he was cleared. Obama has been corrupt since day one with ACORN, Ayers, Rev. Wright, and his financial contributors are crooks. You must want Socialism in America!!! Sad for you.....
  • According to the special prosecutor, John McCain and John Glenn should have been dropped from the investigation. Since that would have left only Democrats involved, the Democrats threw John Glenn under the bus and refused to allow them to be dropped from the investigation. Regardless, it was determined that the only criminal involvement in the investigation was on the part of the three remaining Democrats. Your question is therefore based on a lie when it indicates that McCain's involvement was criminal. The only thing that would be exposed in bringing up this matter is the partisan shenanigans on the part of the Democrats.
  • honestly....this just shows the latest poll numbers are more a reflection of the economy rather than any positive strategy coming from Obama or the DNC... ...Biden didn't attack Palin on "experience" for a very good reason....every attack would have further exposed Obama's lack of qualifications as well....So how is reaching back to the days when Obama was doing drugs and chasing white girls a good idea? ...the facts about the Keating scandal are well known...as are the changes in McCain's approach since then....so chalk it up to even more real-world experience that McCain has that Obama does not... ..so let's turn it around....What in Obama's limited experience indicates that he will be capable of doing anything other than campaigning? The easiest thing in the world is to make vague promises....
  • Are you kidding... He is a U.S. Senator and a Conservative Republican and a distant cousin of Laura Bush... He's not a Liberal Democrat nor a Hippie... As far as I understand it, McCain has already participated in fixing the economy... That's another reason it is being flushed down the john, along with everything the common taxpayers have struggled to accomplish or to accumulate. Between McCain or Obama, we are being forced to pick between the frying pan and the fire.
  • McCain was cleared of any wrong doing, and even was man enough to admit that he had made a mistake. Obama on the other hand has requested over 900 million dollars in earmarks in his short time in the senate for wasteful pork. That works out to over 1 million dollars per day. Most of that time he has been on the campaign trail I guess that is "Change We Need" If so count me out
  • McCain co-sponsored the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 ... He tried to stop this. Obama received money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/record.x...
  • Your confused the Keating incident was eons ago and McCain was cleared of any wrong doing....... You might want to check the facts...... Barrack Obama got the second highest amount of money from the failed institutions Chris Dodd, DEMOCRAT, got the highest amount.
  • Earmarks have nothing to with the Keating 5...... at all. Not even a little bit.
  • If he was a key player I don't think he would have been cleared of charges...McCain has said he was not aware of Keating's illegal activities until after the fact, and then he cooperated fully and helped convict those that were really involved in the scandal. OJ was a acquitted by a jury, McCain was cleared of wrong doing by The Senate Ethics Committee...they are a little bit different...
  • McCain and Keating had become personal friends following their initial contacts in 1981, and McCain was the only one of the five with close social and personal ties to Keating. Like DeConcini, McCain considered Keating a constituent as he lived in Arizona. Between 1982 and 1987, McCain had received $112,000 in political contributions from Keating and his associates. In addition, McCain's wife Cindy McCain and her father Jim Hensley had invested $359,100 in a Keating shopping center in April 1986, a year before McCain met with the regulators. McCain, his family, and their baby-sitter had made nine trips at Keating's expense, sometimes aboard Keating's jet. Three of the trips were made during vacations to Keating's opulent Bahamas retreat at Cat Cay. McCain did not pay Keating (in the amount of $13,433) for some of the trips until years after they were taken, when he learned that Keating was in trouble over Lincoln. In 1989 Phoenix New Times writer Tom Fitzpatrick opined that McCain was the "most reprehensible" of the five senators. The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), John McCain (R-AZ), and Donald W. Riegle (D-MI)
  • nope not I
  • in accordance to the particular prosecutor, John McCain and John Glenn could were dropped from the research. on account that which could have left really Democrats in touch, the Democrats threw John Glenn below the bus and refused to let them to be dropped from the research. Regardless, it replaced into determined that the really criminal involvement contained in the research replaced into on the area of the three very last Democrats. Your question is therefore in preserving with a lie at the same time as it shows that McCain's involvement replaced into criminal. the really ingredient which could be uncovered in stating this matter is the partisan shenanigans on the area of the Democrats.
  • YES and he got off just like OJ did the last time.. But now Karma kicks and McCain in trouble. And this time, McCain's bankrupt economic philosophy has put our economy at the brink of collapse and put millions of Americans at risk of losing their homes. Watch the video to see why John McCain's failed philosophy and poor judgment is a recipe for deepening the crisis: http://my.barackobama.com/keatingvideoIt's no wonder John McCain would rather spend the last month of this election smearing Barack's character instead of talking about the top priority issue for voters. But if we work together, we can make sure the focus stays on the economy -- and how to fix it.
  • No. He was exonerated by the DEMOCRAT who led the committee investigating the Keating scandal. It's also been noted by both Democratic and Republican outsiders that McCain was named because they didn't want all Democrats to be accused of the scandal. Notice McCain is the only republican....
  • umm holy christ dude i didnt read all this but... obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 obama 08 really tho if he dont win i am fleeing the country...no joke....
  • Yeah another liberal. McCain was cleared.......that means HE DID NOT DO IT. I don't know any better way to tell except.....go to school and learn how the system works.
  • He was cleared. Which means HE PAYED SOMEBODY OFF.
  • yes, and he got a 'slap on the wrist' for it, too
  • I am raising my 11 son & 18 yr old daughter. My 18 yr old comes from the same father as the 16 yr old. I can't afford an attorney and make too much to get any kind of legal aid. The attorneys want thousands of $$ because our divorce was nasty. The 18 yr old , the attorneys made him give her to me because she was calling 911. He wants to do it the civil way. Any suggestions? I suppose I could let my credit go to shambles and stop paying on my credit cards and let the car go., turn off the internet, the cell phones, etc Is there any other way? His dad says he'll fight me again which is so costly up front and I can't get a loan right now. You teens got any suggestions? He lives in Montana, I live in Spokane. I drive there alot to pick him up and take him back.
  • okay i see no problem with doing away with all the materialistic stuff in your life .. whats more important to you? lets see car.. son internet .. son cell phone .. son etc .. son stuff!!!!! NO NO NO .. not stuff that 16 year old should be at the center of your universe right now .. he needs you and to hell with anything else check the laws in your state and in your ex's state about how old a child can be when they can make their own decision of where they would like to live here in arizona its 12 and when my son was 12 he made the decision to live with me .. best thing that ever happened to him and to me luckily for me he was 11 1/2 when the divorce was final so i only had to wait a mere 6 months but it was the longest 6 months of my life your child is the most important thing here .. do what you can .. and dont stop til hes home with you i understand you are asking the teens for there input and i hope most of them will agree with me.. its up to us parents to take care of those we brought into the world and to love them no matter what .. there is alot of heartbreak out there in the world and alot of it is because parents dont put their children first .. dont let your 16 year old think for one minute that you are not going to fight for him .. let him know that you wont stop until hes home with you please leave the excuses at the door .. get your boy home to you it may not be as costly as you think and if it does cost a few bucks .. youll reap the benefit when you watch him grow into a great man that will love you just for being his mom i am noticing that i am on my sons ID .. please if you want to respond .. do so i will get the message nothing in this life thats worth anything comes to you easily good luck
  • If your ex is going to fight it then you have to go through court. But just because you go to court doesn't mean you need an attorney. You can represent yourself. What I did when my ex tried to stop paying child support by fighting me for custody, and I couldn't afford an attorny. I paid for a paralegal to help me with the paperwork and I would pay to consult with an attorney. I did all the work myself and I represented myself. I met with the attorney a couple of times to get prepared, the paralegal helped with all the paperwork details. I got through and only spend a few hundred, instead of thousands! Oh, and I won. :) But you have a harder case. While your child is older and will have some say on his preferences, you live in a different state and that would be a major change of circumstance for the child. BTW - What makes you think teens here would have any viable suggestions? One other thing to remember, your son will be 18 in two short years, he can come live with you then anytime. It might be less stressful to just wait it out. Good luck.
  • take him....do whatever you can. If he wants to live with you let him....ask him to try to help out around the house with money as well as the 18 yr old girl...If they know your having money trouble they might want to help.
  • Keating 5 was always fair game as far as I'm concerned. No Democrat could try to run as the big reformer in the US after such a disgraceful episode. He or she would, and rightly so, be laughed of stage, yet the corrupt republican gets a pass, unbelievable. Though he was not convicted of anything, McCain intervened on behalf of Charles Keating after Keating gave McCain at least $112,00 in contributions. In the mid-1980s, McCain made at least 9 trips on Keating's airplanes, and 3 of those were to Keating's luxurious retreat in the Bahamas. McCain's wife and father-in-law also were the largest investors (at $350,000) in a Keating shopping center; the Phoenix New Times called it a "sweetheart deal." http://www.realchange.org/mccain.htmMcCain: The Most Reprehensible of the Keating Five http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/1989-11-2...1. John McCain admitted to intentionally filing false income tax returns to defraud the IRS by not claiming thousands of dollars in gifts McCain and his family received from Charles Keating and Keating’s company. Years later, when the IRS noticed Keating’s company had written off the gifts to McCain as business expenses, McCain fessed up and admitted filing false returns and made a “donation” to the U.S. Treasury to cover the amount he defrauded American tax payers. (Committing tax fraud is one of the least offensive things John McCain has done over his career, but this article just focuses on his role in the Keating Five, and the Lincoln Savings and Loan scandal of the late 1980’s-early 1990’s). 2. John McCain’s wife, Cindy McCain, along with her father, made a $359,000 investment in retail property owned by Charles Keating in 1986, a year before John McCain first met with federal regulators on behalf of Keating. Keating was later convicted on 73 counts of fraud, conspiracy, and other crimes. Years later, Cindy McCain sold her investment for $15,000,000. http://mccainkeatingfive.com/?p=6How John McCain Reformed The Arizona senator hasn't changed since his Keating days http://www.reason.com/news/show/35983.html John McCain has had at least 177 lobbyists running his campaign and raising money for him. The McCain Seven—all lobbyists—control the campaign filling roles from senior foreign policy advisor and finance co-chair all the way up to head of command, campaign manager. The McCain Seven make sure special interests come first
  • Remember: all I ever hear agains Obama is espoused by Hillary. So, if you want to rant, start with Hillary. Oh, yeah, I am an old guy: I remember a lot of stuff against McCain. But he is much more honest than the Clintons (President or Hillary), he is a Viet Nam vet; he has the best interests of the country at heart. What about Edward Kennedy? When will he stand trial for the death of Mary Jo Kapekne at Chappaquiddick?
  • Sure, it's fair game, but that would be pointless since McCain has already been investigated and was found to have done nothing wrong. And If it is fair game, will all of Obama's "misdoings" also be fair game? Didn't think so.
  • Even if he doesn't go negative, Keating Five is fair game.
  • Yes, and that's just for starters. Let's dig up some history on this creep folks
  • Why would you want to attack McCain with the Keating 5. I do a wikipedia search and it says McCain was found to have done nothing wrong. Do you want people to say, "wait, he did nothing wrong"
  • Ya know, speaking of fair game - I once shot 5 moose with one shot! ...speaking of shots...
  • What do you mean if? I hope palin/McCain start crying about Rev. Wright and company. Think of how pathetic that looks. EVERYBODY has already decided about this stuff. We are in the INTERNET age (sorry McCain).
  • Yes. He was involved. He caused American Tax payers billions of dollars in the previous big bail out.
  • Yes. And now that he put up the white flag of surrender in Michigan and is losing votes day by day its going to get NASTY.
  • Recently I discovered the college I had thought to attend is essentially a scam (Kansas AI International) I would be paying 90k for a BA in Web and Graphic Design that would be pretty much worthless. Now I need to find a new college (anywhere, and honestly I would love somewhere overseas), and maybe even a new career choice. Interests: -Art -Writing -Sociology -Travel Looking for a career that: -Is preferably artistic -Pays enough that I can pay off student loans in 5 years or less -Allows me to travel Please, I’m on my knees here, give me some advice, tell me about your career and why its awesome. Let me in on some possible choices, im drowning. Thank you.
  • graphic design is still a good major to pursue (if you want to do art related studies) but you just have to stay away from the for-profit garbage like AI International. If you want art schools (which I don't really recommend) then look at the regionally accredited, non-profit, independent ones Kansas City Art Institute (KCAI) Art Center College of Design in Pasadena CA, Fashion Institute of Technology (part of the State University of New York university system) California College of the Arts, Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt), Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) Otis College of Art and Design, Parsons, Pratt, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC, not to be confused with the Art Institute chain) There are 4 year universities that offer a design major and some of the good (or better) schools are San Jose State University (BFA in Graphic Design) Syracuse University, American University, Arizona State University, Boston University, Chapman University, CUNY City College, CUNY Queens College, Drexel University, NC State University, San Diego State University, University of Miami, University of Houston, University of Florida, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus, and Virginia Commonwealth University (supposedly has a pretty good arts school for a public type of university) The ability to travel kind of depends on your job position, so it may or may not happen. Don't use travel as a criteria because it simply depends on the job that you can get. Sociology is an ok major, if you want to consider business jobs and maybe you can look at communications or even marketing as a major. Some of the 4 year universities I specified for graphic design also have a pretty good business school (most notably UIUC, Syracuse, San Jose, San Diego, Boston U, Minnesota, Miami and Florida).
  • Do not fall for online scams and if you're looking for an online program, always go for the accredited ones. Here are a few accredited online web and graphic design programs: http://www.ocregister.com/education/subj...Hope it helped.
  • if in USA, visit BLS.gov/OOH for a few months so u can learn about careers/jobs that are IN demand. in USA , many community colleges have programs leading to well paying (35,000 - 65,000$ yrly jobs that are in demand. u can even work 30 hr/wks and pay as you go. during summers work 60 hr/wk to get ahead. study what they do not teach in college. Study take notes apply inf from Total money make over, dave ramsey so u can learn from others mistakes, not your own. use a library for 100s of books on careers.
  • So I'm a senior living in Arizona, figuring out all these college business. I'm thinking of applying to Stanford, Princeton, Brown, NYU, Columbia as my top schools (I want to major in business and more specifically, international business/relations), and then also considering UCLA, UC-Berkley, and University of Washington, which aren't as highly ranked but still great out of state schools. Maybe you don't live in Arizona, but we have 3 instate schools. NAU is not even on my radar, it's basically a community college, which is why you've probably never heard of it. ASU is not on my radar either, because I live about 10 min away from the school, so it won't be starting a new chapter of my life, it would be like another 4 years of high school, especially since that's where alot of my classmates go. U of A is my backup school, and is decent, but more of a pre-med kind of school in Tucson, aka HOT, and alot of my classmates will go there too. I've lived in Arizona all my life, and the heat for one is miserable, but also I just want to start a new life. Here are the pros and cons that go through my head: Pros: 1. I can go to an instate school for basically free. Cons: 1. Where you go undergrad, especially with a state school, is usually where you end up staying for awhile after you graduate, for the reason that all your job opportunities are gonna be in that central area. 2. With huge schools like ASU (60,000+), internships are yes, plentifully, but EXTREMELY hard to get with such a huge competition pool. Also, a student who now goes to Yale, a former classmate tells me that going somewhere highly respected, especially on the coasts, gives you so many more opportunities because of proximity to L.A. and NYC, business capitals of the world. Also I've heard it's easier to get into better grad schools if you've gone to a school like Princeton for undergrad. Another thing I considered was something my dad said to me the other day, that yes, Stanford is an extremely expensive school, but with a Stanford degree, your starting salary will most likely be a lot greater than just a state degree. So yes, California schools are an option but I'm definitely more centered on the East Coast schools with nice COLD weather :), and the opportunity to travel more, because I hope to travel alot for my job. But of course, MONEY IS EVERYTHING in this world. So sorry it took me forever to back up a simple question... Will I regret spending so much for college, or will it be worth it in the end?
  • Its all up to you and what makes you happy.. You have to think about the out of state tuition, fees, room and board and these expenses must be paid even before the semester starts. Try to apply for grants and scholarships and fill out the FAFSA forms. Now FAFSA gives $5550 per semester and I highly doubt it will be enough for out of state tuition. You shouldnt take out student loans because they can easily sky rocket by the time you graduated.
  • First of all, I want to commend you on being so ambitious. But you have to understand one thing before deciding to go to a prestige school: Who do you want to work for? A degree from Harvard and Stanford is nice, but will you use it for something or will it look nice on your wall? Yes, it does depend a lot on the opportunities you come across, but just because you attended a prestige school, it doesn't guarantee you a good spot in the real world once you get out, if you don't actively seek those opportunities, you could end up with nothing, and the worse part is, you paid an arm and a leg for a pretty looking piece of paper and now are in a huge debt you can't pay off. It depends on YOU if you will regretting spending so much money, if you are on top of your grades, on top of your career choice and actively seeking opportunities for a rewarding career, then no.
  • Why don't you try any distance learning course or even study abroad. Check the site bellow , they can give you some ideas. But whatever type of education you get , it will be helpfull in your future. www.cypruseducationcentre.com www.cyprusedu.com
  • Your job title, not the name of your college, determine your starting salary. If a state school graduate and a Stanford graduate get the same job at the same company, they are getting the same salary.
  • Hi everyone. I recently got a converter box because I am coming off of not working for over a year...with a Master's degree (so even more student loan debt), plus credit card bills, etc. so please don't tell me to get cable....It's an unnecessary expense for me at the current time. But, I got the converter box and couldn't get a signal with my old antenna, so went and got another amplified one that didn't work, and then an even stronger amplified one that didn't work. I'm only 5 miles away from the towers (but close to the airport, so is that causing problems?) Anyways, does the quality of my converter box affect if I can pick up digital stations? I don't know how much stronger of an antenna I can get for my apartment, so would a better box help? Thanks! p.s. - in Phoenix area (near 1-10 & Elliot, so Tempe/Arizona/Awhatukee area)
  • It's possible that the stations have transmitting patterns that "protect" the airport -- i.e. direct less power toward it -- so they don't interfere with the electronics there. You should contact the stations to see if that's what they're doing. If they aren't protecting the airport, then you might have something hooked up wrong. I live about 4 miles from some local stations and I can get them using a straight pin as the antenna (I just stuck it into the center hole on the antenna connection on the converter box). So, I don't think you should need a more advanced converter box to pick up your stations, especially if you can see the towers. It is possible that the box is bad, right out of the store. Did you take it back and try it at the store with their equipment? Have you talked with any of your neighbors to see if they have a box that works in your complex? If they do, see if they'd let you try your box in place of theirs. That way, all of the connections and signals will be the same -- only the box would be different. If it's the problem, you'll know then. If the stations are protecting the airport, you may be at the null point in the pattern -- so you'd see almost no signal. You'd probably have to get a large antenna (like on rooftops) meant for much longer distances. Unless you like the look of a metal mobile, you might be out of luck then. You can probably get the local-only cable for under $20 a month, if necessary. Most cable places don't want to sell you that, so you might have to wander through their web site to figure out what they call it when you try to order it. I had "Limited Basic" -- if I had said Standard or Basic, I would've been nailed with the $40 / month + tax package instead of the $15 / per month I paid.
  • You can't have it both ways. Common Sense Mexican President Felipe Calderon denounced as "racial discrimination" an Arizona law giving state and local police the authority to arrest suspected illegal immigrants and vowed to use all means at his disposal to defend Mexican nationals against a law he called a "violation of human rights." But the legislation, signed April 23 by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, is similar to Reglamento de la Ley General de Poblacion — the General Law on Population enacted in Mexico in April 2000, which mandates that federal, local and municipal police cooperate with federal immigration authorities in that country in the arrests of illegal immigrants. Under the Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony, punishable by up to two years in prison. Immigrants who are deported and attempt to re-enter can be imprisoned for 10 years. Visa violators can be sentenced to six-year terms. Mexicans who help illegal immigrants are considered criminals. The law also says Mexico can deport foreigners who are deemed detrimental to "economic or national interests," violate Mexican law, are not "physically or mentally healthy" or lack the "necessary funds for their sustenance" and for their dependents. "This sounds like the kind of law that a rational nation would have to protect itself against illegal immigrants — that would stop and punish the very people who are violating the law," said Rep. Steve King of Iowa, ranking Republican on the House Judiciary subcommittee on immigration, citizenship, refugees, border security and international law. "Why would Mr. Calderon have any objections to an Arizona law that is less draconian than his own, one he has pledged to enforce?" Mr. King said.
  • Let me see if I have this correct... -IF YOU CROSS THE MEXICAN BORDER YOU PAY A FINE AND ARE DEPORTED, THE SECOND TIME YOU ARE JAILED FOR UP TO 10 YEARS. -IF YOU CROSS THE FRENCH BORDER YOU ARE FINED,JAILED AND THEN DEPORTED. -IF YOU ENTER ENGLAND ILLEGALLY YOU ARE FINED 10,000 AND DEPORTED IF YOU ENTER ITALY ILLEGALLY YOU ARE FINED 13000 EURO AND DEPORTED - IF YOU CROSS THE NORTH KOREAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET 12 YEARS HARD LABOR. - IF YOU CROSS THE IRANIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU ARE DETAINED INDEFINITELY. - IF YOU CROSS THE NORTH KOREAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET 12 YEARS HARD LABOR. - IF YOU CROSS THE IRANIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU ARE DETAINED INDEFINITELY. - IF YOU CROSS THE AFGHAN BORDER ILLEGALLY, YOU GET SHOT. - IF YOU CROSS THE SAUDI ARABIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE JAILED. - IF YOU CROSS THE CHINESE BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU MAY NEVER BE HEARD FROM AGAIN. - IF YOU CROSS THE VENEZUELAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE BRANDED A SPY AND YOUR FATE WILL BE SEALED. - IF YOU CROSS THE CUBAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE THROWN INTO POLITICAL PRISON TO ROT. - IF YOU CROSS THE U.S. BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET................................ 1 - A JOB, 2 - A DRIVERS LICENSE, 3 - SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, 4 - WELFARE, 5 - FOOD STAMPS, 6 - CREDIT CARDS, 7 - SUBSIDIZED RENT OR A LOAN TO BUY A HOUSE, 8 - FREE EDUCATION, 9 - FREE HEALTH CARE, 10 - A LOBBYIST IN WASHINGTON, 11 - BILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PUBLIC DOCUMENTS PRINTED IN YOUR LANGUAGE, 12 - AND THE RIGHT TO CARRY YOUR COUNTRY'S FLAG WHILE YOU PROTEST THAT YOU DON'T GET ENOUGH RESPECT. From the L. A. Times 1. 40% of all workers in L. A. County ( L. A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants working without a green card. 2.) 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens. 3.) 75...% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens. 5.) We are fools for letting this continueYou can't enter any other country illegally why is it racism when you do it here!
  • the Az law is in America. The other law is in MExico. Mexico doesn't equal America, therefore that means no. It would depend on mexico's constitution.
  • Mexico makes Mexican law and we make laws for The United States. If you commit a crime in another country US laws don't apply to you. The other countries laws will. A bad law is a bad law, and retaliatory actions are the way countries deal with things short of all out war.
  • Mexico needs to be sued for human rights violations to Innocent Guatemalans seeking a better life for themselves. Calderon would really cry then...
  • I'll try to explain this to you as simply as a can in a vain attempt to enlighten you. Here in America, we have an American constitution. We, as Americans are bound to it. The Arizona law is arguably in violation of the 4th, and 14th amendment, and as such may be unlawful. Now the tricky bit, so try to keep up. Mexico is NOT bound to the American constitution. So what's unlawful here, may be completely fine there. Get it? NO, I didn't think so.

  • I want to buy a truck...looking to get a temporary job for a year in Californian...I have a family and own a house in Arizona. Planning to comeback to AZ within a year...now I need a place to live in CA...was looking to shared a place. Shared place cost 700 on average a month plus utilitties and food.... reason to take this temporary job was to make more money and pay off my debt quicker...should I buy a Truck and live for a year rather than paying a shared place? I made the calculation and I will be saving money owning an living from a truck I just dont know if I will be able to pull it off..do you know anybody who has or is currently living out of their vehicles... I want to do this to save money and pay a vehicle loan rather needed a palce to sleep...I will be in school and work for most of the time.
  • A good minivan would work much better than a truck - unless you plan to put a camper on the truck. My first choice would be a decent camper on a 3/4 ton but then you have much higher fuel costs. I once lived in my Toyota Sienna minivan for several months while working in a boom town where there was virtually NO transient housing available. I removed the center row and rear row seats, stored them in a friend's garage back home and lived fairly well. Scope out truck stops where they have showers you can use for a reasonable cost. If you can find somewhere that will let you park your van and plug in, you'll have it made because you can use a slow-cooker to make your dinners and save big bucks on restaurants. A slow cooker lets you put a chicken or a beef roast in with potatoes and vegies before you leave in the morning and come home to a hot meal. Get a mini-fridge to preserve your food and that's about all you need.
  • Two separate traffic stops Tuesday led to the discovery of a Glendale drop house and the arrests of two men suspected of human smuggling, the Department of Public Safety said. Two men stopped by Phoenix police Tuesday for undisclosed traffic reasons told authorities they were involved with transferring illegal immigrants in and out of a drop house at 91st Avenue and Ocotillo Road, DPS spokesman Bart Graves said. A search warrant was served for the Glendale house around 7 a.m. Wednesday. Inside the house, 11 men suspected to be illegal immigrants were waiting to be taken across the country, Graves said. The group told officers they were paid $2,300 each to be smuggled into the country. The two suspected smugglers were arrested. The 11 immigrants will be turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Graves said the Glendale drop house was atypical of most Arizona drop houses. The victims were treated well, fed and appeared to have new clothes, he said. They were allowed to move about the house, rather than being kept in boarded-up rooms. No weapons were found inside the house. "There are a number of different cartels that operate out of Mexico," Graves said. "Some are very violent and have no regard for their victims at all. And then there are other cartels like this one that just treat their victims better." Graves said he was not surprised by the location of the drop house, which sat across the street from the Westgate shopping center in Glendale, near Jobing.com Arena. http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2...
  • Having them smuggle drugs in inside their stomachs as suggested is very limited and does happen although this is not how the majority of them get the money. The Illegals that pay 2500 to 5000 to come to the US and they normally get the money from a friend or family member that is already here in the US and then they pay them back later. Yes with wages at $3 per day in many areas like that it is impossible so they get a loan.
  • The same way Carlos slim did, through hard work. You try to degrade the Mexican people because some do illegal things? Well before you start looking into other peoples closets, how bout we look at what Americans are doing. 1. If you did not know this, it is a proven fact that the number one buyer of sex slaves are Americans, and i dont just mean Mexican sex slaves, i mean Japanese, Chinese , European, and Taiwanese slaves, you name it, who are the number one buyers Americans, what type of Americans white americans. 2. Whose america to judge another country, did they not invade Iraq? 3. Did they not allow slavery, what about the Jim crow era? 4. Or what about that time that Theadore Roosevelt went to panama and made the panaminians rebel, did he have a right to do that. If every country had their skeletons on the ground like america does, than i guess nobody would give a **** now would they. And for your information the richest man in the world is Carlos Slim, and guess what hes a mexican. Is he a drug dealer nope, sex trafficker nope, hes a business man.
  • undesirable, in simple terms undesirable. in basic terms a hundred days and look on the drastic alterations already, and so quickly. the object as one among those helpful spin to it. i got here across the final 3 paragraphs thrilling........ during the campaign, advisers privately recognized that overconfidence might circulate away Obama vulnerable. He made a string of comments that have been, to a pair quantity, joking and self deprecating, almost as though he did no longer take the hubbub around his candidacy too heavily. nonetheless, others observed conceitedness. At one element, Obama the candidate stated, "to be attentive to me is to love me." At yet another, he joked that as quickly as he complete speaking "a easy will shine down from someplace. ... you will journey an epiphany. and you will say to your self, 'I might desire to vote for Barack.'" these days, comments like those are uncommon for Obama the president, even with the undeniable fact that no longer completely long previous. asked for the time of a February interview with US Weekly no count if he wore boxers or briefs, the hot president stated: "i do no longer answer those humiliating questions. yet whichever one it extremely is, i glance good in 'em!"
  • Philip Hansen Perez said: "Mexico is the most developed and industrialized country in Latin America! Many Mexicans earn more than you." If this is true, then it certainly begs the question - Why is more than one-third of population of Mexico currently residing in the United States?!?!
  • It's called HARD WORK! you should try it sometime. Wait! you can't because you blog all day long about Mexicans.
  • defamation is a retrograde tactic. Mexico is the most developed and industrialized country in Latin America! Many Mexicans earn more than you. You should go back to cuba, and fight for your oppressed and semi enslaved people.
  • duh----what about all the money these people are sending OUT of our country---and there is always the down and out way---drugs and prostitution.
  • Many pay the outrageous fee by body-packing narcotics into the U.S.
  • So for the past 5 years I've always wanted to really go to the US im like obsessed I know all 50 states (That's how obsessed I am) and I just really really want to go!! Im from New Zealand and I have just turned 18 (Female) and I'm leaving now (In three weeks) to live and study in Australia for 2 years (Ballet) but during that time I'm thinking about making a huge trip to the US. I will take a year off after my study and work to pay off extra stuff I need to, then I will save up and get a little bit on a loan to take a trip over there. When I will be about 20 or 21. I was just wondering what visa would I need to stay there for the 90 day visa? I think it is? and also is it really really really hard to get? I just want to go for a visit. Also which states do you recommend visiting? And also I really really want to live there one day but its so hard but apparently Americans LOVE kiwi accents. I want to have a chance at getting into a relationship as well with an american but in the 3 months im there I want to meet someone because I would really love to be able to share my life with someone over and start a life over there. (Not make a relationship because I want a permanent visa) but I literally love Americans so much and thats where I want to live and eventually have a family and the only way I can really is by actually meeting one and I really want to aswell I think they are so friendly I tear up talking to them like though my work and I love just listening to what they have to say..idk its so weird but thats just something I want to do and I really want to make it happen! Do you think its possible to meet someone in the time I'm over there? and which places do you recommend me staying I love huge cities and beaches etc.. So yeah and what things would you recommend? Thanks for reading this huge (probably boring paragraph) but I just want to start planning now so I can be sure to have an AMAZING time when I leave!! :)
  • EVERYONE wants me and tells me to go to Europe and even my cousin from Greece wants me to after my study to go there with her but I dont want to spend that much money on somewhere I really dont want to go.. Everyone is confused why I don't go there..Its because to me it just seems so rainy and cloudy and stormy and grandma old and brick small houses and boring no offence haha but yeah I know I haven't been there but I don't think I am the sort to go visit there.
  • And I haven't finished my step dad went there and I can never stop talking to him about it. And I also know that it isn't what I dream but Im not actually wishing for like a huge environment/atmosphere like on movies (im a simple person really small things amaze me honestly) like even for the sake of going to a baseball game or to walmart! or even like going in a real yellow taxi or seeing a yellow school bus and meeting new people with there accents and trying out mcdonalds in america there HUGE large combos and seeing the cars there apparently they are HUGE so yeah things like that will seize to amaze me.
  • By the way i'm not finished yet again apparently Americans love kiwi accents my step dad went to New mexico and apparently he was at this huge thing cant remember but they wanted my stepdad and his friends to speak to like 20,000 different people about them and their culture and he said he can't remember how many peoples houses he went to just because of the accent just from talking to people in the supermarket or talking to different people. Thats also what my English teacher said he was shouted all these free drinks and invited everywhere just because of our accent hahah :)
  • I find it pretty awesome that you love America so much :D!! I've lived here my whole life, born and raised in Texas, and no we don't ride horses xD! There are many things that make me incredibly proud of my country and as corny as it sounds I am pretty damn proud to be an American :D!!! Sooo you wanna come here huh :D!!? Well the first place I'd say you go is visit Florida! It is absolutely beautiful, the beaches are lovely and the sand is clean...unlike in my state where the water is practically brown and the sand is non-existent and nothin but seaweed, haha! I would say if you have the time and money, visit Disney World, you will have one hell of a field day out there...it's an incredible place!! If I had to choose, "World" is much better than "Land", so if you have to choose, go to "World"! Now, traveling up is the state of Louisiana...it is literally alive at night! Well if you're in the right areas haha! It is the heart and soul of jazz music and they give ghost tours and it's all just a bunch of fun! Not to mention the gumbo is pretty damn good!! Next, I'd say try out Texas! We have Six Flags here, Kemah Boardwalk, mostly friendly people, some really great food and to be honest I think Austin, Texas is a pretty cool capitol!! They have great pizza, 6th street and some seriously weird, fun people, haha! Also, there is a place where all the rich people live and you can stand on top of a mountain and creep on their houses, I know it sounds rude but they honestly don't even notice, haha! I wish i could remember the name...but I know you'll love it here! However, I do warn you there is no such thing as winter and it can get pretty hot! Hmm, go to Arkansas and visit the Springs!! I went there when I was a child but I still remember that it was pretty great! Still have a shirt from there!! Now this is coming from a strong recommendation, go and see the Grand Canyon in Phoenix, Arizona!!! I promise you, you'll never see anything more beautiful :D!! It is something you just stand, watch and reflect your whole life on. Along with the grand canyon, there is Yellow Stone National Park,in Wyoming, it's pretty cool!! Very nature-esque and something you should just see, especially old Faithful geyser! I know for a fact that if you love the city you will love Chicago, Illinois!! I slightly grew up there as well visiting family, but they have a lovely three story mall, and the Navy Pier is to die for!! The deep dish pizza...if you've never had Chicago's Deep Dish...my god you haven't lived :D!! They have an amazing shopping center and it's pretty cool! I warn that you should stick to the tourist areas because gangs are very high in Chicago! But as long as you're in a group you should be fine, just take care of yourself, big cities in America can be unforgiving.. Next, I'd say a must see is California! Yes all the stories you've heard about the lush, beautiful beaches are true :D!! In the right places Cali is a beautiful and expensive place! I went a while back so I can't say much into it but I know from my best friend that see the Beaches, San Francisco, and Rio Grande shopping center...expensive but pretty cool! Hmm, again with cities, I've never been to NY...but I have friends that went to college up there and it gets cold, the people can be not so nice, but the city life is roaring! If you are loud enough and can hold your own and don't let anyone push you down or take advantage of you...you'll be just fine :D!! Hell, they might listen to you because of your awesome accent, haha!! Go see the Statue of Liberty...but I can't really recommend much more than going to go see it and experience it for yourself! again with the cities, keep safe and gear more towards Manhattan and not Queens, haha! Oh one more thing, take a bus from NYC to Boston you can get tickets from $15 each way. The ride is about four hours and visit Vermont! Oh, go to Colorado!!! That place has natural beautiful scenery!! to be honest it is a place where you don't have to do much to enjoy yourself! Go skiing or take a trip up to Vail and enjoy the beauty that is that over priced place, haha!! Relax and enjoy the scenery! I've heard Maine is very beautiful!! Relaxing in that sort of way! I'd say to go definitely see Niagara Falls!! That is something that is worth a lot!! those Falls will blow your mind, haha!! ..those are just a few things I can recommend, there is so much beauty and fun that you can experience here...and it's soo dang big that I couldn't possibly tell you it all! I wish I could but sometimes what you find is beautiful or awesome is different from my perspective :)! Just because I didn't mention some states doesn't mean they aren't special in their own way! Each state honestly has a unique thing about it and it's worth checking out all 50 just for the hell of it!! And If you can do this entire thing by road trip!! It's cheaper and you will get so much more out of it than just flying everywhere!! I really hope you will love it here!! Don't worry about people not liking you, they will be kind to you!! And about finding love in just a few months, who knows! Honestly, do I believe in love at first sight...yes and no. Do I believe that two people can truly love each other in just a few months...yes and no. It all depends on the individual. I recommend that you don't look desperate and be confident...you will attract guys with your accent you don't have to worry about a thing haha! I think love shows up when we least expect it, my dad always told me, "Don't go looking for it, when it's ready to find you, it will find you." :)!! I hope I could help!! You can email me if you have any other questions at teddy-gram@sbcglobal.net :D! I'm only 20 by the way not some creeper, haha :D! But yeahhh...best of luck and wherever you decide to go...make the best of it no matter what and have a hell of a lotta fun!!!!
  • Visit the nearest US Embassy or consulate for official visa requirements. If you come up here during our spring and summer months- March through September- you can visit the Great Lakes region. Collectively, the lakes have about 20 percent of the world's fresh water supply in them, and there are several wonderful things to see near there. You might be better served if you can wait until you're 25 or older to make the trip. That way, you'll be more able to rent a car for exploring the back roads of this country.
  • Pls dont get your hopes up, being a foreigner yeah you will defiantly meet someone. American boys loooove foreigners but honestly America isnt such hot stuff anymore alot of places are boring and those that arent are filled with rude or ghetto shitheads. Of your going to stay anywhere go to Washington to sight see and learn more about the us but just dont go to the bad parts because like I said, ghetto assholes everywhere. And this is coming from a girl who wasnt born here but came here when she was four.... this isnt america anymore its Murica where most people just seem to be shoving morals thrown the crapper. But there are a few. A small few who can show you one heck of a time and are really friendly and just a tip STAY AWAY FROM Florida nothing but a bunch of stuck up old assholes here. But if you like beaches then come on down. I suggest either California or Washington seriously. And dont even think about new York its a freaking cesspool.
  • No, not at all. • definite, he became. McCain became exonerated. The Republicans opt to have it the two approaches, however. They play the 'guilt by utilising associaton' game with Obama yet refuse to play by utilising a similar rules whilst it incorporates McCain's persevered love-fest with Keating. right here is the truly some Democrats' 'guilt by utilising association' ammunition, which makes me ask your self why in the international the McCain campaign desperate to circulate down this risky course: McCain and anti-Catholic preacher, Pastor John Hagee, who believes that hurricane Katrina became a reaction by utilising God to a gay delight parade in New Orleans. the guy McCain describes as his "non secular adviser" believes that nuclear war with Iran is "a actuality" and that "all Muslims have a mandate to kill Christians and Jews." John McCain and Rod Parsley, a guy who McCain has noted as a "non secular instruction manual," a guy who has additionally noted as Islam a "fake faith" and has endorsed war against it. John McCain and Jerry Falwell, and his casual association of 9/11 with the sins of homosexuality. McCain and James Dobson. McCain and Pat Robertson. Nuff stated on those nutcases. however the record is going on and on. Then we've Sarah Palin and her *goofball* witchcraft exorcism. As Mrs. Palin shows....the heels are on and the gloves come off. vast and unsafe can of worms for John McCain, especailly when you consider that he's falling extra and extra at the back of in the polls. to not point out he and his spouse, Cindy's statements approximately how we at the instant are not gonna see any negativity in his campaign. That became the 1st lie. Now it truly is all downhill.
  • McCain was acquitted of wrongdoing in that scandal. The prosecutor even mentioned that the only reason they included him, is cuz there were too many Democrats involved, and they needed to throw a Rep in the mix, in order to not make it look partisan. McCain is not perfect, and there are plenty of scandals and improper actions involving Republicans. But this is not one of them.
  • I don't know what is being organized or is on the court docket at this time but I do know that the Attorney General of the State of New York reached a settlement with Sallie Mae in April of 2007, requiring many changes in its policies as well as payment of $2 million to an education fund that will be used to assist students in choosing the best student loans for them. (The fund is NOT tied to Sallie Mae but, instead, neutral in its stance, so this should not be seen as something that Sallie Mae can corrupt to their advantage.) Based on what I can find, it is unclear as to where Sallie Mae is based. Their website has most of their contact addresses in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, but there is also one in Indiana. When looking up the Whois information for the domain SallieMae.com, it reveals that the Registrant address is in Reston, Virgnia, while the technical address is in a northeast suburb of Indianapolis called Fishers, a town of 44000 population. The reason that it could be important to contact the appropriate attorney general for the base location of Sallie Mae is that the student loan contracts may have a clause that dictates the legal venue in which actions must be filed, which is normally the state in which the corporate offices are located. What I might do if I were in your shoes is contact each of these Attorneys General and see if they were aware of any class action lawsuits against Sallie Mae. Doing some searching on Google and reading many of the hits that I found, there are lots of people who have complaints against Sallie Mae, so I am sure that at least some of them have gotten their documents together to start some sort of legal action. All you need to do is find the right thread to pull. :-) For your convenience, the Attorney General contact information for the states mentioned above are as follows: New York ======= http://www.oag.state.ny.us/The Capitol Albany, NY 12224-0341 (518) 474-7330 Consumer Helpline: 800-771-7755 Pennsylvania ========== http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General 16th Floor Strawberry Square Harrisburg, PA 17120 (717) 787-3391 Consumer Protection Hotline: 800-441-2555 Indiana ====== http://www.in.gov/attorneygeneral/Indiana Government Center South 302 W. If I can be of any further assistance, be sure to let me know. (I am currently fighting a similarly serious battle with the assistance of the Attorney General of the State of Arizona against a company based there and am leading the charge to file a class action lawsuit against the company in question. The company is a web hosting company that has caused hundreds of its clients to suffer huge financial losses due to failing to provide the services for which it has been retained. My company alone lost $4000 because of their negligence.)

  • Unfortunately for McCain his bad judgment is still in evidence. He has decided that smearing Obama is more important than trying to address the economic mess that the Republicans have created. In addition to his bad judgment in the Keating 5, McCain later wrote letters to the FCC on behalf of his lobbyist friend's client, so he apparently learned nothing from the Keating experience. The reprimand that he received from the Keating scandal was not enough to teach him anything. McCain got off too lightly and he did not mend his ways.
  • nicely I observed him and Michelle strolling alongside the line and each and all of the scret service brokers following him with the "Bullet info Cadillac CTS" and those style of human beings cheering and a few singing, enjoying guitars and Violins, some have been even Praying! Sasha and Malia regarded extremely happy besides, so definite it's going to be authentic and that i dont stay interior the u . s .. I observed it on the television tube so it's going to be authentic then. Or grew to become into I intense on something ?
  • True, most of us keep it unofficial. Glad my "poor judgment" isn't a permanent part of the Congressional Record.
  • We've had a man there as prez for almost eight years with glorious poor judgment. Will we/they ever learn.
  • well if that is true obama is gone too,and maybe for no judgment also. he votes present so he doesn't have to make hard choices. he associates with racist, rev wright and the congressional black caucus. franklin raines the list goes on and on
  • He was found innocent...of course, some people found guilty are innocent and some people found innocent are guilty... I am just pointing that out to those who are going to say he was found not guilty or involved which may or may not be accurate! Chris I
  • I'm not sure if he was ever 'officially' labeled, but, it worked twice for Bush in retrospect we should be as concerned (if not more-so) with the judgment of voters
  • He was also exonerated by the same investigation of any wrongdoing. What about Obama's poor judgment: Wright, Ayers, Rezko, Pfleger, etc.?
  • It's too late for that, Bush is already in the White House. But, at least his reign is almost over.
  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keating_Fiv...No Democrat could try to run as the big reformer in the US after such a disgraceful episode. • The above poster is right and I'd like to add that Cindy McCain and Charles Keating had many real estate deals together
  • Con Slapper gave a pretty good critique of the Keating Five incident of which John McCain and John Glenn were guilty of no wrong doing. He remarked that they were accussed of poor judgement, but by whom? The democrats and the medis of coarse ! This is all the fodder that Obama has to use against McCain? I would say it's pretty weak, especially when it's a counter balance against Obama's action to gang up with Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and their gaggle of liberals, to block reform against Freddie and Fannie !
  • i do no longer think it's going to make a distinction with Republican voters. yet that little hen bone isn't something in comparison to the skeletons Hillary has in her crawl area and no person quite is conscious what's in Obama's closet. simply by fact the Dems found out with John Kerry, leaping in the back of a candidate earlier you thoroughly verify him out has definite adverse components. i think Obama will carry some very uncomfortable surprises for his supporters.
  • [Note: Although all the existing evidence is anecdotal and so inconclusive, it should be noted that Ruhi Afnan, Shoghi Effendi's first cousin, made similar allegations about Shoghi Effendi's sexuality, as did Fayzullah Sobhi. The late US NSA archivist, Jackson Armstrong-Ingram, also confirmed the existence of longstanding rumors about Shoghi Effendi's homosexuality.] Michael Zargarov (ex-Bahai) August 22nd, 2009. Greetings all. About 20 years ago I was introduced to Mildred Mottahedeh at a conference in Arizona. Hand of the Cause Bill Sears introduced us because he knew I yearned to teach the faith in Eastern Europe, and he knew that Mildred had a particular interest there too. Later in 1990, at her suggestion, I pioneered to Prague, Czechoslovakia. I was there 18 months, and traveled from Prague to Russia, and to Alma Ata, Kazakhstan in order to visit with and help teach among long-out-of-contact believers. Still later, at various times, I was hosted for dinner at Mildred's sumptuous apartment overlooking the United Nations complex in NYC. Once in late 1992 I took Mildred to a concert of Beethoven's 9th Symphony at the Lincoln Center. On the way we stopped at a drugstore. When she came back to the car, Mildred showed me a gold locket which held hair from Baha'u'llah. She told me that Shoghi had given it to her when she WITNESSED his marriage to Ruhiyyih. Mildred and her husband bought a limousine for Shoghi to use, which he later loaned to Ben Gurion when "Israel" was established. Mildred Mottahedeh had known May Maxwell since the 1920s. They were close confidants and best friends. Before Violeta Nakhjavani took over as "companion" to Ruhiyyih, Mildred held that honor. Mildred and I were very close. She ASKED me if I "struggled with being gay". When I admitted that I did, she revealed to me that Ruhiyyih had intimated to her that Shoghi was homosexual himself, and hated himself because he "fell so short of what was expected of him as a member of Baha'u'llah' s family". Ruhiyyih told Mildred that their marriage had been arranged to "help" Shoghi "straighten himself out". (It is purely MY conjecture that Ruhiyyih was Lesbian. I just saw such a Bull-Dyke everytime I saw her, and her relationship with Violeta seemed obvious.) Mildred told me that she had revealed that long-held secret because she hoped it would one day help other gay baha'is to realize that they were not struggling alone; indeed that the "Center of the faith" had struggled against the same "affliction" . Mildred made me swear NEVER to reveal what I knew until AFTER her death. I kept the promise. - Wahid Azal
  • This is from the official Baha'i website of the USA (link below): "[Q]: What is the Baha'i attitude toward homosexuality? [A]: Baha'i law limits permissible sexual relations to those between a man and a woman in marriage. Believers are expected to abstain from sex outside matrimony. Baha'is do not, however, attempt to impose their moral standards on those who have not accepted the Revelation of Baha’u’llah. To regard homosexuals with prejudice would be contrary to the spirit of the Baha'i teachings." To me the key phrase is "To regard homosexuals with prejudice would be contrary to the spirit of the Baha'i teachings." In other words, though Baha'is do not condone homosexual acts, it is the act itself that's considered impermissible - not the person(s). It is not contradictory to love a person while still disagreeing with their actions and decisions. As someone has already mentioned, gay people are allowed to join the Faith but once joined, are expected to follow its laws. Also, I think it's extremely important to point out that the Baha'i Faith as an institution does not take a political position on the current issues of gay rights in the US.
  • Baha'u'llah reported that miracles at the instantaneous are not evidence that someone is from God. the guy witnessing them may settle for them as evidence, yet in a lengthy time period commence to doubt that they extremely witnessed what they concept they witnessed. between the evidences of evidence is the ability of a Manifestation of God to regulate the satanic characteristics of a individual to heavenly attributes: personality change. yet another information is the Revelation itself. What different reason in the back of the outpouring of expertise and expertise can account for the Revelation? Over one hundred books contained when it comes to Baha'u'llah, and this from a guy who had received truly the conventional preparation as a baby of reading and writing. this isn't glaring to someone till he has surveyed the written Revelation. Baha'u'llah had no get acceptable of entry to to libraries as a prisoner. Baha'u'llah persisted 40 years of imprisonment, banishment from his position of foundation and torture because of His teachings and movements in merchandising a clean Revelation. it really is information that He replaced into not in contact in fabric issues and that He replaced into not an imposter. truly someone who's truly confident that He has been chosen by God for a Divine project might want to post with such circumstances for the finest 40 years of His existence. contained in the right, someone ought to make investments your attempt and time to be confident of the reality of Baha'u'llah. the actual undeniable actuality that there now exists about 6 million Baha'is contained in the worldwide from each united states and 1000's of cultural and non secular backgrounds is information that Baha'u'llah's objective for mankind is getting into being. i imagine that what you seem for in searching for the reality is information that something is authentic. The more suitable information you stumble on, the more suitable likely that you'll settle for all of it as evidence. ---Bruno
  • It depends on how you choose to identify Bahá’í beliefs: if you believe that the Bahá’í International Community of Haifa and ‘Akká (as it is known in Israel) headed by the Universal House of Justice on Mount Carmel constitutes the only valid form of the Bahá’í Faith and that this cannot under any circumstances be challenged or changed, and if you also interpret the Bahá’í Covenant (as do most mainstream Baha'is) as unswerving obedience and total submission to the Baha'i ecclesiastical authorities (the Universal House of Justice) then one must choose a life of chastity or pursue a life of affectional fulfillment outside of the normative Bahá’í community, which recognizes heterosexual marriage as the sole context for sexual activity (note that same-sex civil marriage is now legal in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Canada, Norway, Sweden, South Africa and Nepal, with many other countries ready to adopt it). If however this is not what you choose to believe then there are other options available for you to choose from: Both the Tarbíyat Bahá’í Community and the Unitarian Bahá’í Fellowship welcome gay men and lesbians (both singles and couples) as members; these faith communities do not attempt to micromanage the lives of gays and lesbians through "counseling," "sanctioning" (disenrolling) or otherwise silencing them. See for example: http://unitarianbahai.org/ "We find community in the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) ... the Unitarian Bahai Fellowship welcomes openly gay and lesbian people." No excuses, rationalizations, justifications, explanations, qualifications, rebuttals, quibbles, or spiritual window dressing: they openly accept single and partnered gay men and lesbians. That's it, period. In the words of former Catholic and well-known actress Anne Hathaway: "The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out. Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?" All *accredited* American medical and psychological institutions agree there's no medical, psychological, or social reason to believe that sexual conduct between persons of the same sex is immoral or unhealthy. That includes the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychological Association, the American Psychoanalytic Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the National Association of Social Workers to name only a few. Only religious dogmatists think it immoral. It would be wrong to assume that Bahá’u’lláh (the prophet-founder of the Bahá’í Faith) failed to mention homosexuality due to his ignorance of such matters. In his Kitáb-i-Aqdas (Most Holy Book), Bahá’u’lláh explicitly forbade pederasty, but Shoghí Effendí, the Guardian of the Baha’i Faith, is presumed to have interpreted this (in a letter written on his behalf [not all of which letters were as carefully scrutinized as one is often told they were]) to imply a general prohibition on all forms of homosexual activity. He did not, however, wish Bahá’ís to treat the words written by his secretaries as possessed of the same authority as his own letters: they are authoritative for the person to whom they are addressed in the situation in question, but they were not intended to establish general principles universally applicable to particular situations. Gays and lesbians who wish to self-identify as Bahá’í without living in the closet or allowing, accepting, condoning, or enabling toxic, abusive, disrespectful, non-honoring attitudes and behaviors to continue now have at least one truly viable alternative to choose from (the Unitarian Bahá’í Fellowship), should they wish to do so. The choice is entirely theirs to make. Those who knowingly choose to join a religious organization or faith community which teaches that the only acceptable form of sexual expression is within heterosexual marriage bear the full responsibility for their choice.
  • Bahai' is probably the most tolerant of religions. Their various teachings do not condone homosexuality nor such things as pre-marital or promiscuous sex, but they have a strict code of not condemning individual decision-making in regard to personal matters. Gay people can join Bahai.
  • they love person but not practice of homosexuality, they believe that you can be GAY BUT NOT PRACTICE
  • bahai is a cult not a religion
  • My younger brother and I are in our 20s living with our parents until we get on our feet and move out. Just today I got a weird text message from someone asking about speakers. I had no idea what this person was talking about and told them that they had the wrong number. My brother comes home from work for lunch and and that's when he tells me that he posted an ad on Craigslist selling his home theater system, but he put MY cell phone number on it instead of his because his number is an Arizona number (we're in Idaho, and he just got back home from college in Arizona), and he was afraid people would accuse him of stealing the speakers just because he has an out-of-state number! I got very upset and started going off on my brother because I was so angry that he'd put MY number in an ad without asking me for permission or even telling me until it's too late! My parents then started going off on me for getting angry, and this just set me off. I started to raise my voice and tell them that I'm so sick of being treated like crap at home (I've been treated like sh*t ever since I was 12) and that my brother can do whatever the hell he wants without suffering any consequences. I work a full-time job and am attending college out of MY pocket! My brother used my mom to get him a $35 thousand dollar loan for this very expensive college. My parents have always favored my brother, but this time they have really pushed my buttons! My mother called me selfish, self-centered, and even said I was NOT her daughter, and my dad yelled at me and told me to shut the hell up. I think I had every right to be very angry with my brother, but my parents think otherwise. Do you think I had every right to be angry? I know that yelling wasn't the answer, but I was so flipping angry that I lost it, and it only got worse when my parents went off on me. I'm really starting to hate my parents because to even win their praise, I have to give them money! It's pathetic, yes, but I have greedy, selfish, and stupid parents. They think they know everything and that I am always wrong and they are right. I say they don't know me and never will because they never gave me the emotional support I needed growing up. I don't even consider them my parents even if they were "kind" enough to let me stay with them in that hell I call home. Sorry, but I am still very angry at my family, and I wish they'd just leave me the hell alone.
  • BrainBabe, you're right about the whole anger issues thing, and I did go to therapy to deal with it, but it seems to not be working. I am going to call my insurance company and find a therapist who can help me manage my anger until I get the hell out of that house because clearly, my parents hate having me home. They say these nasty things about me (i.e. I'm lazy, stingy, good-for-nothing, worthless, etc; the list goes on and on), but they never say anything wrong about my brother even though he's the one taking advantage of them!
  • You DO have the right to be angry. Remind them of the people who have been killed by having people show up to buy items from Craigslist...and ask them why the hell they support your brother giving out your number without so much as asking....let alone warning you! That being said, you DO have some anger issues. You said some vile and hateful things...clearly hurt your mom and pissed off your dad. Being mad at your brother is one thing, but lashing out at your mom, to the point that your dad feels he must intervene is just wrong. Perhaps you need some anger-management classes and/or therapy...and you might consider getting a roommate or two...instead of living where you seem to be so unhappy.
  • You weren't wrong to be angry, but you were wrong to be as angry as you demonstrated. If you have issues with your family and brother then you should deal with them one at a time instead of all bunched together as you did. Everything gets mixed in with everything else when you don't and then the issues get lost in the anger you show, so you usually just end up having a worse mess on your hands.
  • in line with hazard anger is a sturdy be conscious for what you experience yet on the grounds that anger and love run plenty alongside a similar neurons interior the techniques there perhaps some crossfire occurring there. i desire which you probably did no longer come down with the flu yet once you probably did fluids, relax, and a lot of fowl soup will artwork only right. lower back on your subject remember, and this could contain age and understanding, yet sooner or later you will seem lower back on their habit with an outstanding sort of be apologetic approximately or maybe a sprint of delight as you will understand that your brother and pa under no circumstances progressed plenty farther than the Curmudgeon degree of the evolutionary chain, and luckily for you,you probably did. perhaps they each and every could desire to mature some previously they evolve. that's no longer an indictment. they each and every grieve of their own way, So in end rejoice the existence which you have and do your only right to no longer make contributions on your very own loss of life. that's what your mom could have wanted.
  • no ur overreacted big time. he should have asked for ur permission first but recieving a call for ur brother is not the end of the world. u took a trivial little issue and blew into a huge fight about the past and all of ur baggage. it was completely unnecessary to make this phone number business come to that as it has nothing to do with how ur parents treated u in the past. i would recommend u talk to ur family about family counseling to cover unresolved issues of percieved favoritism or unequal treatment. if they are willing u could all benefit and maybe then u can learn to communicate and resolve conflict with them effectively instead of like a crazy emotional drama queen
  • Your justified in being angry. He should have got your permission before posting your number online.
  • yes your family sucks.they do treat you unfairly. i would question what your mother meant by you not being her kid.that is the worst thing a parent would say to their child.I would definitely move out .dont be a burden to people who dont really care about you.go stay with friends, they choose to be with you.you cant pick your family . but you can pick your friends.
  • you shouldnt have made a big deal about your brother using you phone number and then your house wouldve been more peaceful
  • Yeah, it's justified alright.
  • I received notice that I got into both NAU's online Speech Pathology program and The University of Arizona's Speech Pathology Program. The online program would be ideal for the lifestyle that I currently have with being a single mom and finding childcare etc. The online program would allow me to also change my schedule so I am not working nights and can be home with my son. While the U of A program is the better education, but on campus which would make it harder for me to find a job and child care while in school. (u of a ranked #5 in the nation for its graduate degree program-----nau ranked #113) SO the question is---- Does the Undergraduate degree really matter if I have to get my masters degree anyway to even practice SLP?
  • As a former director of speech pathology, I can tell you I would throw away any resume that listed a degree from an online program; no interview there! If you'd gone to U of A, you'd have a big shoe in the door. On-campus training allows for collaboration and many more opportunities for the exchange and discussion of ideas. Your professors get to know you and your personality and can provide instant feedback. I was the single mom of a three-year-old when I went back to school. I did it by farming out my son to friends and family; it was a real team effort. If your classes are in the daytime (usually are as an undergrad), your campus will have a preschool you can take advantage of. If they're at night like mine were when I was in grad school, you'll only have class 3 or 4 nights a week. By the time you get to your clinics, your boy will be in kindergarten, and most elementary schools have after-school programs now. I would concentrate on school vs. a job. I know that'll mean student loan debt, but Tucson is a cheap place to live and U of A is a public institution, so your costs can stay low. You are also eligible for all kinds of grants, and they'll help a ton. Buy used books, join a study group, and get to know your professors well. Get the best clinical placements you can, and do your CFY at an academic medical center. The world will be your oyster.
  • John McCain is the only one of the Keating Five still serving in the US Senate. "The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), John McCain (R-AZ), Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), were accused of improperly aiding Charles H. Keating, Jr., chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of an investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB). Gray testified that several U.S. senators had approached him and requested that he ease off on the Lincoln investigation. It came out that these senators had been beneficiaries of $300,000 (collective total) in campaign contributions from Keating. McCain received $112,000 by 1987 from Keating and Keating's relatives and employees to McCain's Senate campaign, more than any of the other Senators. [1] In September 1987 National Thrift News was the first media outlet to break the story.[2] In October 1989 The Arizona Republic reported that in addition to campaign contributions, McCain's wife and her father had invested $359,100 in a Keating shopping center in April 1986, a year before McCain met with the regulators. The paper also reported that the McCains, sometimes accompanied by their daughter and baby-sitter, had made at least nine trips at Keating's expense, sometimes aboard the American Continental Corporation (parent of Lincoln) jet. Three of the trips were made during vacations to Keating's opulent Bahamas retreat at Cat Cay. McCain also did not pay Keating for some of the trips until years after they were taken, after he learned that Keating was in trouble over Lincoln. [3] Lincoln Savings and Loan's collapse is said to have cost taxpayers $3.4 billion. After months of testimony revealed that all five senators acted improperly to differing degrees, the senators maintained they were following the status quo of campaign funding practices. ." The report of the proceedings, however, did not address the fact that a private U.S. citizen accused of improprieties had called a meeting of five U.S. senators with an agenda dedicated to aiding his financial fortunes, and all five of them actually appeared and allowed him to officiate proceedings."

  • I know, I know. John "we may be in Iraq 100 years" McCain.
  • Since the end of World War II (1945), what has been a major effect of population change in the United States? a- The Social Security system went bankrupt. b- Demand for medical facilities has declined. c- A surplus of unskilled workers has led to decreased immigration. d- Suburban areas have grown faster than cities.
  • d. The GI bill of 1944 provided money to educate and build houses for the returning soldiers. A man named William Levitt bought thousands of acres of land outside of cities like New York and Philadelphia Levitt then proceeded to plan out the construction of towns full of prefabricated houses. One of the first Levittown communities was started in Hempstead Town, Long Island, New York, and was developed between 1946 and 1951 by the firm of Levitt and Sons, Inc. It was an early example of a completely preplanned and mass-produced housing complex. Containing thousands of low-cost homes with accompanying shopping centers, playgrounds, swimming pools, community halls, and schools, its name became a national symbol for suburbia during the post-World War II building boom. As automobiles became more widespread, there was political and economic pressure to expand the road network. In 1958 the Interstate Highway Act connected all the major cities in the US with highways. A demand for housing, particularly single-family homes, was met in the United States with government loans and other incentives to expand housing in suburban areas. Life in the suburbs became feasible with the automobile, which provided mobility everywhere, anytime. Thus, after World War II, at least in the United States, the automobile, the auto industry, the urban road network, and the suburbs grew together. The result was a dispersed urban geography, often called sprawl, which characterized not only the suburbs of large cities but also whole cities that experienced the bulk of their growth after the automobile became popular, they include Phoenix, Arizona; Los Angeles, California; Dallas, Texas; and Orlando, Florida. This is a geography in which travel is less focused on nodes and corridors (denser, centrally located city and suburban downtowns). It is a dispersed market that is difficult to serve economically with mass transportation.

  • He was cleared of any wrongdoing by the investigation. the 4 democrats were not as fortunate.
  • http://www.thenation.com/images/mccain.j...The photograph substantiates reports that in late August, 2006, McCain celebrated his 70th birthday aboard a yacht, the Celine Ashley, rented by A-list con man Raffaello Follieri and his then-movie star girlfriend Anne Hathaway. Follieri, who posed as Vatican chief financial officer in order to win friends and investments, pleaded guilty Wednesday in a Manhattan district court to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, eight counts of wire fraud and five counts of money laundering. As part of the plea, Follieri admitted to misappropriating at least $2.4 million of investor money and redirecting it to foreign personal bank accounts that were disguised as business accounts. Does the mobster and McCain use the same off shore banks to hide their ill gotten millions?
  • McCain was one of the Keating Five. He was investigated on ethics charges for taking contributions (a generous $112,00) from the swindler Charles Keating who was convicted of racketeering and fraud in both state and federal court. Total cost to American taxpayer: $3.4 billion. McCain hung with Keating at his extravagant Bahamas pad and flew on the racketeer's airplanes at least nine times. McCain's wife and father-in-law invested heavily in a Keating shopping center in Arizona described as a sweetheart deal. In addition to associating with bank swindlers, McCain is fond of mobsters. He sent birthday cards to Joseph "Joe Bananas" Bonano, the head of the New York Bonano crime family, after the notorious mobster retired in Arizona. I guess sun birds of a feather flock together in the Grand Canyon State. John's in favor of allowing corporations to do whatever the heck they want -- especially when it comes to raiding the till to support political candidates such as himself. He opposed legislation that would have forced companies to get permission from stockholders before using treasury funds for political activities. Republicans like to say Democrats have loose morals -- recall how they so mercilessly lambasted Clinton for his juvenile dalliance with an intern -- but the Republican John M. also had a WD40 lubricated zipper. McCain readily admits his first marriage crashed and burned due to his fooling around with women other than his wife. Republicans have zero tolerance for drug abuse -- or they did until it was discovered Rush Limbaugh had an obsession for munching pain pills like M&Ms. It seems McCain's wife Cindy, the daughter of a wealthy Budweiser beer distributor, was addicted to prescription drugs. Mrs. McCain even stooped so low as to steal drugs from a medical charity that she ran. But when it comes to the drug abuse of other people -- especially poor people unable to hire fancy lawyers or acquire country club memberships -- McCain is about as flexible as reinforced concrete. "Of the four major candidates, McCain has expressed the most hawkish positions on drug policy," explains the Issues 2000 website. "He wants to increase penalties for selling drugs, supports the death penalty for drug kingpins, favors tightening security to stop the flow of drugs into the country, and wants to restrict availability of methadone for heroin addicts." No word if McCain finds it necessary to shut down doctors and pharmaceutical corporations that allow rich talkshow hosts to squirrel away thousands of pain pills and turn the domestic help into couriers. McCain fully supports the neocon way of reacting to the world. He believes al-Qaeda and Saddam were in cahoots and urged Dubya to invade Iraq way back in December, 2001. He mindlessly declared the invasion justified even as a mountain of evidence began to surface indicating Bush and the neocons had lied through their teeth about Saddam and his illusory WMD. McCain supports the so-called missile defense system -- even though the thing is an immense failure and will result in flushing billions of dollars down the rat holes of gluttonous defense contractors. For McCain, our future is one of never-ending war and aggression. According to McCain, the job of the United States is "not simply to contain rogue regimes, but to drive them from power." Finally, McCain is determined peace will never exist in the Middle East. Like Bush and Kerry, McCain is all agog over the Butcher of Beirut, Ariel Sharon. He likes to tell the accused war criminal what a fine job he's doing turning the Palestinians into impoverished prisoners on their own land. Last August McCain said "there should be no linkage of the route" of Israel's apartheid wall to the $9 billion in loan guarantees the US planned to bestow on the scofflaw Zionist state. McCain told Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom that "the Oslo Accords failed because they were based on the premise that Palestinians and Israeli could live peacefully together. The fence is an effort to see if Israelis and Palestinians can live peacefully apart." In other words, Palestinian Bantustans are fine by John McCain and John Kerry. "Israel's security fence is a legitimate act of self defense," Kerry believes. "Israel has a right and a duty to defend its citizens. The fence only exists in response to the wave of terror attacks against Israel." No mention of the additional land Israel has stolen in the process, much of it valuable agricultural land. A John-John ticket would be virtually indistinguishable from a Bush-Cheney ticket on foreign policy. Nothing will change if Kerry-McCain are elected come November. It will be more of the same -- only the United Nations and the Europeans will be coaxed back into the fold after they were so viciously alienated by the boorish neocons. Old Europe will be back in vogue. Regardless of Kerry's choice of running mate, the ABBers will hold their collective noses and vote for more of the s
  • Had Sen. McCain only been 68, New Orleans would have suffered the same amount of damage. No one expected the Federal levee system to collapse in NO and noone was prepared -- D or R. That is what caused the real damage in the city. Even bigger hurricanes that have hit Florida cause devastating damage, but cities are not left standing in sewage afterword like in NO. NO was a one-of-a-kind disaster, partially caused by the failed levee system and because parts of it are below sea-level, that is about to happen for a second time.
  • And that makes him a MOBster how...? Probably did it for the same reason Obama let his shady buddies help buy him a house. Rezko Gave Obama A Sweetheart Deal On House In Chicago: Obama Paid $300,000 Less Than The Asking Price For His Mansion, While Tony Rezko's Wife Paid Full Price For A Vacant Lot Next Door On The Very Same Day. "Two years ago, Obama bought a mansion on the South Side, in the Kenwood neighborhood, from a doctor. On the same day, [Antoin 'Tony'] Rezko's wife, Rita Rezko, bought the vacant lot next door from the same seller. The doctor had listed the properties for sale together. He sold the house to Obama for $300,000 below the asking price. The doctor got his asking price on the lot from Rezko's wife."(Tim Novak, "Obama And His Rezko Ties," Chicago Sun-Times, 4/23/07) -- The Seller Of Obama's Home "Wanted To Sell Both Properties At The Same Time." "On the same day Obama closed on his house, Rezko's wife bought the adjacent empty lot, meeting the condition of the seller who wanted to sell both properties at the same time." (Brian Ross and Rhonda Schwartz, "The Rezko Connection," ABC News' "The Blotter" Blog, abcnews.go.com, 1/10/08) Obama's Longtime Associate, Tony Rezko, Pops Up Again On Campaign Trail: A Las Vegas Judge Issued A Felony Arrest Warrant For Antoin "Tony" Rezko For Failing To Pay $472,275 In Gambling Debts. "A Las Vegas judge has issued a felony arrest warrant for a politically connected Chicago businessman whose ties to Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama have become an issue in the campaign. Antoin "Tony" Rezko, who is standing trial on federal corruption charges in Chicago, is wanted in Las Vegas for failing to pay $472,275 in gambling debts to Caesars Palace and Bally's and related processing fees to the Clark County district attorney's office." • You do know what a mobster is right? A member of a criminal gang or crime syndacite. So do tell, how is Rafaello a mobster? He's a con man. Anna Hathway spent years with him and I don't think she's a bad person for it. He was apparently pretty good at hiding his misconduct before it blew up in his face. So I ask you, what are these implications that you suggest from McCain being on a yacht with him 1 time?
  • Oh wow. That is interesting. I guess it's true, McCain has ties to the Mafia. I thought people were BSing when they said that. OMG. It's true. haha. I love a juicy scandal.
  • To be around all his friends! Remember the Keating Five?
  • Because Pastor Wright and Ayers didn't invite him?
  • McCrap is our grand daddy he was a great Vietnam hero, so he deserves a good retirement plan. So let him enjoy it!
  • and Obama's friend is in jail for committing fraud...btw this is TRUE! awww finding the truth hard are we? BAM! http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=4...

  • $30? attempt $fifty 5-$sixty 5. If i will say via the suits already made, its at or around the value of the entire PPV itself. i'm unlikely to order it through fact i pass to Wrestlemania. $fifty 5 is for those those with customary Definition TVs and $sixty 5 for people who've severe Definition TVs. The webcast would be approximately $50. My undesirable. i did not understand your area when you consider which you in no way pronounced it. Gotta love the conversion expenditures from AUD to USD

  • My friend just got his 3rd DUI here in Arizona. He wants to know what kind of jail time if any will he receive. Also do you think he can get work release? When they arrested him, they didn't take him to jail. He went to the task force center and then they let him go. He has court in a couple of weeks. He just wants to know what he is looking at. Thank you in advanced!
  • Why do people come on here and ask this kid of question. There is no way we can know. It depends on too many factors and your "friend" should bloody well ask his lawyer. If he doesn't have one, he should get one. Things the lawyer will consider is if he hurt people or property, his prior history, how long ago the other charges were, where he is in life (shiftless bum or hard working family man) and if they can get a plea bargain. He deserves to be in jail for a very long time. Clearly he didn't learn his lesson the first two times. The minimum is 30 days. At least $3000 in fines. His license will be suspended. 5 years of probation. All of this will show up on a background check, so he's screwed for jobs and for things like loans, rentals, etc. Also an ignition lock so he can't drive with alcohol on his breath. If it's his 3rd in 7 years, at least 4 months in jail and up to $150,000 in fines. It becomes a felony at that point. They can take his car away. Loss of his license for three years. It's even worse if there is a child in the car. Realize these are MINIMUMS. Why are you friends with someone who so recklessly risks the lives of people around him and his only concern is how much jail time he will get.
  • In many states your 3rd DUI is a felony, thus either long jail time or possibly prison.
  • prison time. In the state prison, not jail time in the county jail.
  • Hopefully a lot of prison time.
  • I'll put it this way --- tell him to be real careful if he drops his soap in the slammer's shower.
  • Lets just say you won a competition to be the new owner of WWE b/c Vince was retiring. You own all of WWE, but you have a budget, so you have to fire alot of wrestler, you have to make alot of descisions & be smart, so below are a list of things you have to do. - Choose only 14 male wrestlers [(f)for Face & (h)for Heel] - Choose 8 female wrestlers [(f)for Face & (h)for Heel] - Choose only one show (Smackdown or RAW) & the day it'll air - Choose an exceptional show (NXT, Superstars, etc) & the day it'll air - Choose the 4 titles & title holder (Must have a WHC, Tag, Diva & Mid-Card title) - Finally, choose a city to host these events: Extreme Rules Over the Limit Fatal 4 Way Money in the Bank SummerSlam Night of Champions Hell in a Cell Cyber Sunday Survivor Series Slammy Awards Table, Ladder, Chairs King of the Ring Royal Rumble Elimination Chamber WrestleMania (cant be Atlanta) Homecoming (former WWE wrestlers v. Current) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sorry if thats alot to do, but since WWE isnt as interesting as it once was, im just wondering how what you'd do as owner, I know its alot to answer, but please answer it, thanks.
  • Note: This has been done on the bases that i can only choose WWE wrestlers and not others that have either gone to TNA, Indys or retired (HBK). Plus I wish to add that this is one of the most interesting and worthwhile questions I've ever seen, quite enjoyed doing this. 14 Male Wrestlers: Triple H (f) The Undertaker (f) Randy Orton (h) John Morrison (f) Chris Jericho (h) CM Punk (h) Kane (h) Edge (f) Christian (f) Drew McIntyre (h) Kofi Kingston (f) Dolph Ziggler (h) Daniel Bryan (f) The Miz (h) 8 Female Wrestlers: Michelle McCool (h) Layla (f) Melina (f) Maryse (h) Beth Phoenix (f) Gail Kim (h) Natalya (h) Kelly Kelly (f) My one show: WWE Monday Night RAW Other Show: NXT but with a reformed format where 50% of the decision goes to the "WWE Universe" 25% of the decision goes on from Pro Poll's and 25% goes on a points system from the matches the NXT rookies have been in. • First of all, I would say bye bye to PG and welcome back TV-14. I would still with Raw and retire Smackdown. Raw would air on mondays as usual. I would have NXT to see who's WWE next breakout star. I would bring back the old WWE Championship belt (the one that Lesnar had) and throw the spinner belt in the trash can. the WWE Champion would be Christian, the IC Champ Daniel Bryan, Tag Champs Cryme Tyme (they would reunite) and Diva champ Gail Kim. I would fire (and that would be fun): 1. Hornswoggle 2. Dude Busters (so 2 guys) 3. Mark Henry 4. Vance Archer 5. Great Khali 6. The Usos (2 guys) 7. Luke Gallows 8. Joey Mercury 9. Yoshi Tatsu (yeah he's good in the ring but i dont like him) 10. Santino Marella The Divas I would fire (this one even more fun): 1. Bella Twins aka Useless Twins 2. Jillian Hall 3. Rosa Mendes 4. Kelly Kelly 5. Tiffany 6. Alicia Fox i would get rid of most of the themed PPV's (like Money In The Bank, Fatal 4 Way etc.) and bring back some old PPV's and debut some new ones. It doesn't matter which city would host them.

  • I'm going to make some changes since I would be "running" the WWE. I'm dropping some Pay Per Views and I'm going to re-name some to a couple of classic WCW names. After all, the WWE does own WCW. There's going to be 7 Pay Per View events with 2 Supercard events that will be a 3 hour "special" televised free. With that said, 14 male wrestlers isn't enough to cover a whole year, so I'll drop 4 female wrestlers to replace with 4 more male wrestlers. 18 Male Wrestlers: 1) John Cena (F) *WWE Champion 2) Randy Orton (F) 3) Chris Jericho (H) 4) Sheamus (H) 5) Daniel Bryan (F) *Intercontinental Champion 6) Kaval (F) 7) Rey Mysterio (F) 8) The Miz (H) 9) CM Punk (H) 10) Alberto Del Rio (H) 11/12) Hart Dynasty (F) 13/14) Dudebusters (F) 15/16) The Usos (H) *WWE Tag Team Champions 17/18) Gatecrashers (H) 4 Female Wrestlers: 1) Gail Kim (F) 2) Natalya (F) 3) Beth Phoenix (H) *Divas Champion 4) Melina (H) Shows, Pay Per View events: RAW -- Monday Nights, 2/hr (same time) Superstars -- Wednesdays 1/hr (same time) Royal Rumble (PPV) -- January; Los Angeles, California. Saturday Night's Main Event (TV) -- February; Houston, Texas Wrestlemania (PPV) -- March or April; Toronto, ON Canada Clash of the Champions (TV) -- June; San Antonio, Texas Night of Champions (PPV) -- July; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania SummerSlam (PPV) -- August; New York, New York The Great Global Bash (PPV) -- October; London, England, UK (Taped Saturday, aired on Sunday in the U.S.) Survivor Series (PPV) -- November; Chicago, Illinois Starrcade (PPV) -- December; Atlanta, Georgia Edit: The reason why I'm dropping a few Pay Per Views is because I want there to be actual time to hype them. I would want the Pay Per Views to actually mean something. All the names I've used for the Pay Per View or Supercard events are the "big name" events that actually have meaning behind them. Also, with there being 7 - 9 major events that actually mean something rather than the 12 - 14 current Pay Per Views that try to sell, "my" wrestlers would have more days off to rest and heal. I'm only using Randy Orton and John Cena on my roster because THEY are the biggest draws that will bring viewers to the shows. The main focus on the promotion is WRESTLING, thus the reason I have a solid mid card group that can wrestle and bring entertainment to the crowd. And yes, John Cena and Randy Orton are NOT going to hold back on their actual wrestling ability. Even my female wrestlers are the best divas in the WWE that CAN wrestle. Its not only about wrestling, but LOGIC as well; logic over comedy and illogical booking. John Cena is the champion because he can draw and he makes for a great holder, while the others make for great chasers (translating into great angles). The same kind of goes for all the other champions and the reason I made them champions. It's best to make the promotion simple (easier to follow) rather than go the complicated route.
  • 8 PPVs -- Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series +4 to be renamed later. Raw (2 hr) on Monday and Smackdown (2 hr)on Thursday and one highlight program to be called "the Experierence" (1.5 hr) on Saturday mourning maybe 11:00 or noon on national network to be in syndication in a time slot between cartoon and college sport. The World Title (big gold belt) 6 man Tag team -- 3 vs 3 tag matches IC US The talent pool would be done after a lengthy "audition" process based on a list of necessary skills. If they don't have it then they will never be on tv.....they can learn the trade at "camp" or the indy scene not wasting valuable time on cable tv botching simple moves left and right making everybody look bad by association.
  • WWE does not only have a shop in New York they also have one in Niagra Falls, Ontario. It is on the main road with all the tourist attractions like Hard Rock Cafe or the Hershey's factory. The store also has a thrill ride on the roof called the piledriver. It is pretty much like the Drop of Doom at fairs and stiff. They also have a mini entrance way (like the old RAW stage) where superstars do autograph sessions its pretty cool.
